Very friendly woman. Accent is a bit thick but if you take the time you can understand each other. Her methods are not western acupuncture so if you are looking for that typical experience you’ll have to ask for regular old acupuncture. Not the experience I was used to as it hurt quite a bit, won’t do the cupping again. Over all a relaxing experience minus the cupping.

Dr. Esther is an exceptional alternative Healer with Acupuncture and cupping. I strongly recommend if you want to feel better go to her practice.

Over the last seven years I have had five surgeries to fuse my low back due to scoliosis and spinal stenosis. I also have remaining hardware in place. I have been fighting chronic pain, neuropathy(nerve pain and numbness) and chronic low back spasm for years and have been under treatment by a very well respected pain management doctor. My options of oral meds had been exhausted and I was looking at getting an indwelling morphine pump implanted. I have also tried an implanted spinal cord stimulator without relief. It has been a journey that left me with chronic pain which impacted my life in a very negative way. I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Jun after several friends reported exceptional results. This was a huge stretch for me as I had worked in traditional western medicine prior to being disabled. I went to my first appointment hopeful but skeptical. Dr. Jun(Esther) spent over 30 minutes just going over my health history and medications which really impressed me. My actual acupuncture lasted about 90 minutes and I was surprised that I fell asleep between the different modalities(acupuncture with cupping and moxibustion.) I left thinking if nothing else it was a relaxing and interesting experience. I was greatly surprised when the very next day I had significantly less pain and numbness. The second day post-acupuncture I no longer needed my cane! It has been almost two weeks now and I am still doing well. I went to a wedding over the weekend and even dared to wear heels with minimal increase in pain the next day. My husband and I even went on a semi-strenuous hike over the weekend. I had some numbness, tingling and minimal increase in pain but nothing that required an increase in my daily meds and am eagerly waiting for my next appointment. It has been a very long time since I have had such a low level pain and it has affected my outlook greatly. It is only now, almost two weeks since my initial appointment, that I fully appreciate the impact that acupuncture has had on my life. My overall outlook is brighter and friends and family have commented that they no longer ‘see’ pain on my face. I had not realized how much chronic pain I was having until it was gone. It is truly amazing to me that a single appointment with a ‘non-traditional’ medical provider has helped me turn the corner on a health issue that has dominated my life for over seven years! The office is clean and visually pleasing. My only(very) minimally negative comment is that there are not individual treatment rooms. Patients receive treatment behind curtains that maintain visual privacy but conversations can be overheard. If that’s an issue for you I would recommend you give Dr. Jun a try anyway and ask for an appointment when you’d be the only patient there. For me it was a very minimal trade-off. Both Dr. Jun and her husband, Thomas, were very accommodating and were a pleasure to meet. I can’t wait for my next appointment! **UPDATE** 6-14-2013 I have begun to notice some additional side benefits, such as improvement in sleep, mood, mental clarity, and overall improvement in my quality of life. Something I just can’t get over is the change in my level of chronic pain. I did not realize how it had impacted my life until it was almost gone. I smile more now and my husband says I have my ‘spice’ back in my life. The man is a saint to have endured the last seven years of this medical adventure with me. I feel brand new! PS: I have no connection to Esther or Thomas other than as a patient. I did not know them before my first appointment and I have no financial stake in their business. When I read such a ‘gushing’ review I always wonder if the person has a financial interest in the business or are friends of the owners. I assure you neither is true in my case. I’m just an extremely happy camper!
