We couldn’t have had a better experience with Luxescapes. We worked primarily with Meghan, who is not only a delight to be around but also a talented designer. When we were considering re-doing our entire backyard plus a few upgrades in the front, we interviewed four landscaping companies. Meghan was the only one who offered to create a design without making us pay for it.(We paid another company $ 1,000 for a design we never used. Such a waste!) She listened to our wants and came up with a plan that was so much more manageable cost-wise than the other companies we interviewed that we were worried it was too good to be true. But it wasn’t! Meghan’s design unfolded before our eyes and it was beautiful. Meghan was always available during the construction and when we noticed a few minor issues, she was always there to get them fixed quickly and correctly. Our entire project was done on time and, years later, it still looks amazing. Everyone that comes to our house remarks on how much it adds to our home. Once the project was complete, we had a couple of plants/trees die. We kind of expected that that was normal but we let Meghan know anyway — and she replaced the trees straight away for free. Three years after our project was completed, we asked Meghan back to our house to give us a quote on another project. Although she was there to look at another part of our property, she noticed a slight droop in a few of the patio pavers they had laid years before. She was horrified and sent a team over to fix it immediately — for free. We would ask Luxescapes back to do work at our home again and again.

We used Luxescapes for our front yard remodel, and are extremely pleased with the experience. We originally asked Meghan to quote a project for both a back yard and a front yard remodel; even though we eventually chose to remodel only the front yard(one year later), we never felt pressured to do both, or felt as though our small project wasn’t important. The quote was very thorough, understandable, and fair — and included landscape drawings. Meghan’s professionalism throughout the bid process made us comfortable enough to not even consider a different vendor. Meghan always kept us up-to-date on project progress, especially when bad weather caused delays. The workers were always polite and helpful — they even install a temporary front stoop of stacked pavers prior to the new stoop construction. The two minor change orders during the project were well-managed. Luxescapes even coordinated a Fort Collins sod vendor delivery for a specific sod we ordered. The work quality is outstanding! The bricks and patterns were exactly what we wanted. The precision of the cut bricks is outstanding. It looks great — we constantly get compliments from neighbors and visitors. Meghan followed up with a post-project site visit to ensure we were satisfied, and reduced the price amount due to one of our change orders, and a second roll-off dumpster that wasn’t needed. In summary — I highly recommend Luxescapes, without reservation.

Luxescapes does fantastic work. Thanks to their team, I have a beautiful courtyard that is the focal point of my house and a wonderful space for outdoor entertaining. They couldn’t be any easier to work with, and the craftsmanship is top notch. Their prices are reasonable for what you get, including peace of mind that the project will be done right. I’ve referred numerous friends to them, which is something I’ve never done for any other contractor.

We met this company at a Home & Garden show in Denver. The owner was very nice, we later made an appointment. A woman showed up and listened to my needs and concerns but felt the need to tell me and I quote, «well we’re not the cheapest and we’re very busy.» That statement was due to my wanting to do one or two sections at a time due to the large scale of the project. She roamed my property took some notes and told me she’d get back with me in two weeks and said again«because they were so busy.» Never heard back from them. Maybe it would have helped if I were living in Boulder, Highlands Ranch or some other rich white gated community.

THEABSOLUTEBEST! Being new house junkies, we have built and lived in several homes in Boulder and Denver(plus a vacation home in New Mexico) over the last 25 years. As a result we have learned a great deal about engaging landscape designers. Some charge very high fees just for the design and outsource the work to another firm. Others rely on tired and time-worn«paver/flagstone» designs that look like everything else. We contracted with Luxescapes for our newest home based on the most beautiful design and landscape I had ever seen in the Denver metro area! The project — in our neighborhood — was so contemporary and truly spectacular, I knew I wanted a bid. Even the pergola Luxescapes constructed looked more beautiful, elegant and magnificent than any I’ve ever seen. Quality workmanship. Meghan was incredibly responsive and provided the design in a couple of weeks. We had already received ideas and bids from a few others. Luxescapes was so far superior in terms of trends, materials, planting and lighting — not to mention the cost — it was a very easy decision. Our new yard is stunning — very modern, clean and architecturally conforms to our contemporary home. The cost/benefit ratio is far more competitive than the others. We have now seen three projects in our area that are just gorgeous and each is unique to the home. We were simply getting frustrated with so many of the typical landscape designs and wanted something really stunning… and we got just that! We highly recommend Luxescapes and hope anyone seeking the best design, the best crews — who clean up every little tidbit of sand before they depart — at the best price contact Luxescapes… and come take a look at our neighborhood projects if you don’t believe us!

I really really wanted to write a positive review about Stephen and Luxescapes(I’m an ardent supporter of small and local businesses) but just could not. Early on, I even enthusiastically recommended Stephen to everyone and anyone that even dropped the word«landscape» in conversation. Stephen’s work is admittedly artistically amazing. Not a single person who comes to our yard does not comment on the beautiful design he created. He was the only contractor who actually gave us some conceptual drawings without us having to put a percentage down, and that’s a real plus. He really took the time to listen to us, our lifestyle, our needs, and crafted a design that fit everything perfectly. He’s also incredibly nice, very accommodating, and I cannot say enough about how respectful and wonderful his workers are. His prices were reasonable, and his work was completed in the time frame he promised. During the construction, he was always available, quick to solve issues, honest about pricing, and upfront. During the actual construction time, he was a dream to work with. About 1.5 years after installation, we began to have serious issues with our patio. The patio was chipping and flaking so badly that the chips were collecting on the sides of our garden! According to numerous other stone masons we spoke to, the stone that was chosen for our patio was seriously flawed. One of them told us they had been in the industry for 20+ years and had never encountered the issues they saw in our patio, despite the fact that we did not use the exact sealant Stephen recommended. They said that our patio looked as if it was 10 years old, and not 2, and that no lack of sealant would have caused the flawed stone. Although we preferred to have Stephen address the issue, he was impossible to reach. Emails, telephone calls went completely unanswered before I sent off an unpleasant email voicing my frustration. Stephen called immediately and insisted that the issue was the sealant, and not the stone. He was very conciliatory and promised to call the new stone mason we had found to help him fix the issues. Unfortunately, he never called. When our stone mason came to fix the issues, we filled a gallon zip lock full of chips from our patio — something he said was completely ludicrous. I’m not sure who to believe but I know we paid a good deal for our patio, and that what we have is now universally seen as poor work. Friends who come to our house to see the patio are aghast at the condition of it, and can’t believe what it looks like. Despite getting it sealed and the flakes taken away, the patio continues to degrade. We now have chunks of it missing, for no apparent reason(meaning, we did not drop anything, or take a hammer to it). For me, the most disappointing part of our experience were not the defects in the patio — I understand that there are variations in stone, and we were definitely responsible for not immediately sealing the patio. What was very frustrating, however, was how hard it was to get a response or help from Stephen when we encountered problems. It was such a stark contrast to how he was before.
