So much for trying to keep my business local. Lousy experience. Lond story short: June 30: ‘Liz’ quoted me a 5 – 7 week yime frame for a 5 section, std stockade install… fine. ½ deposit sent. Fence finally installed Oct 29 after I confront the company twice. Proactive status calls would have been appreciated. Oct. 29: I return from a business trip. Fence is finally installed satisfactorily and looks good. I receive a surly voicemail from ‘Liz’ that«my little project is all set». Who needs that attitude for $ 1600?! I not recommend this company at all. They got 2 stars for the quality of the fence and install. No one needs to put up with companies like this.

Tony’s was kind of a crap shoot for me as I couldn’t find any references for them, good or bad. They were just a fence company I happened to drive by all the time and when I needed a fence I figured I’d use them. I like working with local businesses when possible. I later mentioned them to my brother who is a structural engineer, and he had actually heard of them and said they had an excellent reputation. I am glad to be giving them their first Unilocal review, and I must say I am very happy with the work they did. The estimator came out to my house right away and helped me figure out what would work best for my backyard. I was on a tight schedule which they easily accommodated. Then they sent out a couple of hard working guys and in a day and a half they completed a job that looks so much better than I was expecting. I cannot really comment on value as I know nothing about fence pricing(unusual for me as I tend to research everything to death), but I felt comfortable paying what they asked. One option I had looked into was the Home Depot DIY approach, and I might have saved a few bucks there but I suspect it would have taken me a long time to do a lesser job. I recommend them without reservation, my experience with them was entirely positive.
