PriceRite of Hyde Park

Great store my interactions with staff are always friendly and helpful. Clean store, items orderly but sometimes items may move to a different spot or isle especially if its a special purchase/​featured item. They have a lot of great brand names items at around 25−50% off from Shaws and Stop and Shop like Talenti Gelato is $ 3.49 pint at Price Rite and $ 5.99 at Stop shop! Price rite doesn’t accept coupons because the food is already discounted. They don’t carry nearly any specialty or high end items but I wouldn’t expect them too, in other words they don’t cater to special diets but a great store to save some money.

This Price Rite location is great (not that I’ve even been to any of the chian’s locations already… probably because this is closest to me– 20 minutes). The prices are amazing, the store is new and clean, and they have very friendly cashiers. Bring canvas bags or your own paper bags, and be prepared to wait in a 10 – 15 minute line, at least, for all the great deals. AND there is probably the BEST Dollar Tree location I’ve ever shopped right next door!!!

No complaints honestly… food is always fresh, service with a smile (they got rid of the bad seeds… as with any spot you’ve got to clean house) whenever I go I always get what I need and I’m in and out. Yes at times the lines are long but hey, a little patience and you’re good. Actually headed there to pick up Sunday dinner…

Good place to shop if you want to save money, theydon’t carry everthing and the lines are always very long. They always have the best prices for Easter Flowers!

I really like this store. The prices are great, the store is clean, and the employee’s are super friendly. I have experienced no attitudes. Not with employees or customers. Very refreshing shopping experience for once. I am glad to see a decent store where you can get a lot for your dollar and the quality of the food is high. Much much better than sav a lot and all other stores in the Boston area and I do mean all of them.
When they first opened I went there to shop and I noticed a couple of «scouts» (sav a lot, tropical foods) checking out their prices. Their prices can’t be beat. I even like them better than Market Basket.
Bring your own bags and if you forget the bags are 0.10. They are very sturdy and reusable. I absolutely love the place. I am glad that they opened up a store in Boston and I don’t have to go outside of Boston to shop there.
Try to go early in the AM on a weekday (a day off) to avoid the long lines, and first pick at the fruit and produce.
I will shop nowhere else now. This is My spot.

I went out exploring in the ‘Pan and found Price Rite. The slogan is something along the line of «cut your grocery bill in half» and when I walked in, I thought that the reason they say that is because of the Price Rite brand, which is significantly cheaper than, say, name brands.
What was unexpectedly awesome about the Price Rite, though, was the following:
–name brand items for cheap; seriously: and they’re not expired, or dented, or bruised, or anything else. It’s dangerous, though, because you end up putting things in your basket you might not necessarily need – like Heinz sweet relish – it was 69 cents – the hell?! Now I have to figure out what to make with it
–healthy foods that are also low prices; Chobani in the hood?! Holla! And it’s only .99?! I also noticed that Weight Watchers meals were 1.99 normally, so you don’t have to do like I do and wait ’til it goes on sale at Shaw’s
–wide aisles that are easy to navigate – I was there on a Sunday and it wasn’t a mob scene
Final thoughts: bring your own bags; I think they’re able to keep costs down because you bag your own groceries; might as well go the extra mile and help the environment, too. Checking out was quick, no wait, though if you get cash back, they have to call the manager to approve your receipt (because you always have to be reminded that this IS the hood), ample parking (there are three spots for fuel efficient vehicles – I have a feeling that those spots might be empty, um, forever, but you never know)…overall, Price Rite is going into my regular rotation. It’s not that far away, and the savings make the trip worth it.

This grocery chain has gone down! The last 4 times that I shopped there, the lines were long. The store was empty so why are the lines so long. There was a guy in front of me with no more than 7 small items. Why was I line for 20 minutes. I am not over exaggerating! The cashiers are extremely slow! I refuse to be a loyal shopper! If they have a great sale, I will get the sale items and that is it. What happened Price Rite?
