We called Baystate Wildlife Management at 11:30pm for bat removal. We’d already had our Worcester based building management use their own team the day before to no avail. They were at our apartment within an hour and a half, from north of Boston, and had the bat neutralized within 30 min for a reasonable $ 350 fee. We elected to have them bring the bat to the state facility for testing($ 150) although you can bring it to your city for free — the plus is expedited handling and a 24 hour rabies testing turnaround, which we chose for peace of mind. They were very polite and I’d use them again without reservations.

Baystate came out to my new house for a squirrel problem. Guy was there 20 minutesto quote job. I cut a check for the work $ 700, I think. A another guy from Baystate came out to do the work. That guy installed one-way door at hole in soffit to get squirrel out and some wire mesh on two other gaps. That guy was there 20 minutes and it was the sloppiest work I have seen. The birds went around his mesh and got back to nest making and the squirrel went to the right of the mesh of the one-way door because he did not install enough coverage and destroyed the soffit causing more damage. I called Baystate to come out and install a trap Thursday morning they never came Thursday, Friday they never came when I called guy said we were last on our list for the day. I said I’m all set you’re fired. Not satisfied with work or timely response. Guy copped attitude and said he would still charge me $ 150 to my credit card which he did for 20 minute consult and 20 minutes of sloppy work seriously? Note: never pay by credit card, pay by check because you can cancel a check easily. I would not recommend Baystate. I also paid some good money for a carpenter to fix the damaged soffit.
