I would not recommend this place to anybody. My friend and I came in here on a Saturday evening and the place was completely empty, that should’ve been our first sign that this was not the move. We were not greeted when we walked in and finally when I came over and asked the lady for a simple mani pedi she rolled her eyes and walked over to start the water. When I put my feet in the water the water was boiling I asked the lady twice if she could lower the temperature and she didn’t even look up on the third time she turned the water to ice cold instead of just tweeking it a little. In the middle of this another lady comes and puts a bowl of water on my lap and tells me to put my fingers in it so she could start my nails. Obviously they were trying to rush my friend and I out of there even though nobody else was there and there were 5 technicians available. The lady did a hack job of my nails when filing, she never asked me what shape I wanted so she just started filing each nail into any and every shape possible, some were round some were square and others were questionable. Then she starts to put the polish on my nails. I brought my own nail polish because it was a new color that I wanted to try and couldn’t seem to find in any other salon. She proceeded to tell me that the color was too watery for her to use and that I needed to get a gel manicure in order for the color to show up on my nails. The color was a brand new bottle of dark grey Essie nail polish. When I told her it looked that way because she had only put one coat of color on my nails she proceeded to roll her eyes and put on another coat. In the middle of this coat she smudged two of my fingers due to the way she was holding them when I pointed this out to her she refused to fix it. Meanwhile while all of this is going on the girl has finished buffing my feet and was becoming impatient because she couldn’t start painting my toes until the other lady was done with my manicure. She kept asking me if I was sure I didn’t want to just get a gel manicure or put a different color on my toes. When I finally was finished getting both painted I went to sit and let them dry. Mind you this mani pedi only took about 20 minutes that includes dry time. I ended up sitting and letting my nails dry for another 30 minutes while I waited for my friend to get a full set. When my friend was done we both went to put our shoes on. When I pulled my sock on all of the paint on my thumb nail smudged almost completely off. When I brought this to the girls attention again she refused to fix it again. Also when my friend and I got home we both discovered that our toe nails were completely smudged despite me sitting and letting them dry for nearly an hour. Definitely would not come here again. The service was terrible. The environment was clean but there was no music playing the only sound that could be heard was the technicians talking in their language and the manager watching a foreign comedy and laughing(cackling) so loudly he frightened a little girl who had came in with her family while I was drying. I wish I was exaggerating. I wish I was lying. But this is honestly one of the worst nail experiences I’ve ever had. And to add injury to insult they tried to keep my nail polish when I went to reach for it the lady literally tried to snatch it back further damaging my already jacked up nails. The best way to some this service up is just horrifying. I will not be returning.

I honestly don’t understand what those other two reviews are talking about. I found this salon when I moved back to the area after several years in NYC. I have been coming here for over a year now, and even though I moved from Hyattsville into DC(last December) I still won’t go anywhere else. The prices are more than fair. Forty five dollars for a pedicure that includes a sugar scrub, mud mask with hot towels, a paraffin wax dip and a great massage. Have you ever found a pedicure that all inclusive any where else for that price? I looked, and I sure didn’t. I always call ahead and ask for an appointment so I never have to wait. Ask for Linda. She is the absolute best and takes amazing care of me every time I see her. They do take walk-ins, but if you want to be seen right away make sure to come early in the day or closer to when they close.

I should have listened to the other reviews. I waited with my feet in the water for over a half hour before deciding to leave. For their location, they have to do better

1) they have you wait for about 30mins with little to no communication. 2) 4 of my nails broke(acrylic) within 2 days. When I went to go back and get them fixed, the next day they broke again. 3) on the menu it says $ 5 to get nails removed. The dude says it’s $ 10. The devil is a liar. He tried to say gel color is extra. I DIDNTEVENHAVEGELPOLISHONMYNAILS! He really tried to get over. 4) They do not know how to execute a coffin nail. Please save your money and go elsewhere. It’s not worth the hassle.
