One of the worst meals I have had. Beer in plastic cups; late appetizers; worst stir fry I ever had and a surly waitress. Will never return.

My family loves going to the bluewater grille whenever they’re in Hyannis! The owner, Tim, makes everyone feel welcome and makes sure the service is great. Tonight was my dad’s birthday and Tim brought out a special dessert despite being busy with other things. The food is awesome too, I get the buffalo tenders every time! Overall a great restaurant, 100% recommend

Pros: Great location. Good views. Cons: Food. Pricing. Service. Our food came out no joke about 4 minutes after we ordered. Wife’s mussels were extremely sandy. She pointed this out to the waitress and manager and they basically acted like she didn’t know what she was talking about including«well, they grow in the sand.» My ‘Cubano’ wrap was basically a panini pressed spiral ham with some cheese. No real pork, pickles, or mustard. I asked for extra pickles and was upcharged for them. A few more pros: the Cape Cod potato chips, my beer, I had a chair to sit in.

Worst place I’ve ever eaten. Food pretty much inedible. Caesar salad had enough dressing for 5 salads. Clam strips horrific. Pretzels microwaved beyond recognition. Really really bad.

If you like«Sysco» this place is great. The cod sandwich and the shrimp dinner is priced local and executed out of a frozen bag from a truck.

Great location. That’s about the best part of this place. The waiter wasn’t great. He told us that coffee was free refills and then proceeded to charge for two. When we asked about it he said that he never advised of free refills and played the«I don’t speak English» card. 7 person party-ordered drinks, apps, and lobster meals. Expensive prices. Waiter forgot to bring out one lobster entrée leaving one of us without food for 10 minutes. Unfortunately 18% gratuity was included but wasn’t warranted. That lobster meal ended up giving our friend a stomach issue/potential food poisoning. None of us will ever go back here. There are pleanty of other dining options in the area. My suggestion is to choose something else.

Good out door patio setup and even has some nice couches to sit on and enjoy a cold drink. I went here twice on vacation– the first time during the day around 3 and the second time for dinner. Drinks are reasonably priced($ 4 – 5 for beer and $ 9-$ 12 for mixed drinks). During the day I got a $ 9 sangria– the size was decent, served in a plastic cup, and I sat on the couches and drank it with my boyfriend who had a beer. The second time I came was for dinner and I ordered the same sangria. This time it came in a tiny glass filled with mostly ice. I was not pleased to pay $ 9 for this. I also ordered a buffalo chicken wrap which was ok– not amazing but it was fine, came with cape cod chips, and cost about $ 12. Overall, the small drink thing really annoyed me because I basically paid $ 9 for ice. Consistency is key and the same drink was served to me completely differently within a two day period. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return here and would probably try a place with a four star or five star review, like Spankys.

A visit to the Cape is never complete without stopping by The Bluewater Grille. Unlike all the other restaurants on the strip, they offer free parking(in the Harbor Inn lot). Great date idea: Head on over the Bluewater Grille to order dinner and drinks. After dinner, order a bottle of wine and hang out by the bonfire. For the daring, show up early and go for a swim in the Harbor Inn pool and change in the hotel’s bathroom before dinner.

I visited Hyannis this past weekend with my family. Saturday night we were looking for a good restaraunt with great seafood. We were told by the hotel staff to try a restaraunt that was about ten minutes down the road. When we arrived at 7:15pm there was an over a hour wait. We decided to try another place down the street that had no wait at all. We should have know something was up that there was no wait on a Saturday night. Our first impression of the Bluewater Grill was it was a nice outdoor restaraunt with a beautiful view. There were teak wood tables with large gas lantern heaters between tables. The table we were seated at was in the rear of the patio. Our table was not near any heater. Our waiter was an absolute sweeheart, very attentive and friendly. As the meal went on the tempertaure dropped and became pretty windy. We had my nine month old niece with us and our parents. My sister asked the waiter if we may have a heater because it was becoming quite chilly for the baby and my parents. Mind you there were three gas heaters up against the wall near our table that were not lit. The waiter mentioned to us that he needed to inform the owner because he is the only one that can light them. The waiter then proceeded to the owner to put in our request. He then yelled at his employee and completed ignored our request. The temperature was about 60 – 65 degrees and windy. The employees that were serving tables were warming up at the heaters that were located at the other tables. After another 20 minutes my sister asked again if he was going to light the heater for us and the waiter informed us that unfortuanly the owner had declined our request. Declined our request? We were a party of six adults and one child, we ordered appetizers, main courses and alcoholic beverages. Which by the way was NOTHING special, the worst clam chowder I have ever had! We were paying customers that wanted a heater like all the other tables in the restaraunt to keep our parents and a nine month old baby warm. I don’t believe we were being unreasonable. I would NEVER return to this place! The owner is a pompous, rude individual who should not be in the restaraunt buisness.

This place has an excellent atmosphere and is right across the street from the water, and there is usualy no wait(for a reason)…the positives pretty much end there… The menu has barely any seafood which is bizarre being that it is across from the water and in cape cod. the menu choices that are there are pretty limited and expensive. If you want better food and prices with just as good atmosphere go to spankys clam shop across the steeet… food is awsome there.

Amazing location, great food, and our favorite waitress of possibility all time. Thank you Alisa! We sat inside near the window, overlooking the beautiful waterfront and ferry landing. Drinks were promptly served and we browsed the menu while we waited for the rest of our party to arrive. Our server, Alisa, was the kindest, most attentive and polite addition to an already very enjoyable meal. Our drinks were never empty, she promptly bused any used plates, replaced our silverware between courses. We loved her attention to detail and polite conversation. –Ordered the buffalo tenders to share — delicious, lightly breaded tenders with a spicy buffalo sauce. –Scallops Carbonara — OMG! YUM! What a delicious dish. Seared, plump, tender scallops sat high atop creamy, tasty carbonara penne. The perfect amount of sauce so as not too overwhelm the rest of the dish. –Wild Mushroom Rav — what a treat! Perfectly sculpted raviolis stuffed with creamy, earthy wild mushrooms. –Lobster Caesar salad — TONS of fresh chunks of lobster. The portion was huge and crisp. Perfect way to enjoy lobster without being weighed down by the decadence. –Arugula salad with seared shrimp — the shrimp were fat and juicy, seared to perfection. The salad was a beautiful creation, chock full of sundried tomatoes, goat cheese, etc.

We were greeted by a friendly smile and seated promptly. The atmosphere was fun and the view was outstanding. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgable of the menu. Her suggestions were on the money. The owner/manager, Tim, was friendly and genuinely cared about his patrons and their satisfaction. The food and drinks exceeded our expectations.

Great location across from the harbor. Excellent layout-outdoor patio seating and open air indoor seating and bar. Fairly priced and delicious food-had the fried cod sandwich, grilled chicken Caesar salad, mussels. To bring it all home very professional and attentive service. A humble, yet clearly focused owner. This is a hidden gem and Hyannis’ best restaurant.

FABLOCATION! Go for DRINKS&VIEW! The Patio is large & spacious. It has a real Loungey feel to it. Very much like Europe. Half of the lounge is open air. The other half is a covered Bar in a rectangular format so relatively spacious. The BIGDRAW is the Firepits, comfy couches & adirondack chairs to lounge in. Food: Meh Service: Not bad ENJOY!

Service gets one star and food gets one star. Sucked to hear the manager tell my waitress another party is her highest priority, sinking he was a friend, thus making her ignore me. I also witnessed a fight between the manager and another employee right in front of my seat at the bar. Bar is so close to the hotel pool I got splashed. It was like piling teeth to get my bill. And the food was ok, and that’s a pretty generous adjective. The bacon was mush, the scallops were sandy, and the pasta was over cooked. Not returning here again, even if I stay at the hotel again.

This place is gorgeous. The stone patio is beautiful and the view is very relaxing. Everything is open and new with a very trendy feel. 5 stars for atmosphere. Diner grade food. Okay, but not worth the high prices. McDonalds food at Ruth’s Chris pricing. Go there if every other place is too full…

Breakfast Buffet was very cold, salty, and had few options. We stayed at the Hotel so we figured we might as well try it(who doesn’t love a buffet on vacation) but certainly not worth the $ 12. The drinks were ok but a bit pricy nothing too bad $ 7, $ 8 which wasn’t a huge issue. If your not staying at the Hotel, find another bar.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Food and service was excellent. Love the view of the ocean, boats & ferry. The fire pits added that extra coziness
