They need to close this embarrasement of a store. Place is a mess and staff could care less about customer service.

One of the better normal discount stores on the cape. There is no Walmart, so this is as good as it gets. Clean with pleasant employees. Well stocked. Nice shopping plaza with Panera near airport. Lots of clothes. One of the nicer and larger kmarts I have been to. Lots of cash registers open multiple visits. Pretty good store.

Poor selection, dirty store. Tons of empty packages all over the place, seems like people are ripping the place off left and right. Employees always seem miserable and don’t want to help you. Bathrooms are disgusting and always smell. In fact, most of the store always smells. Don’t go in there during/after a rain storm, you’ll have water dripping on you from the ceiling. Some guy in regular clothes came up to a couple I was standing next to in an aisle and started interrogating them asking what they were doing? Said he was the«lost prevention manager». I guess it was some sort of tactic to stop shoplifting? Either way, doesn’t look good for business. The couple clearly didn’t do anything and it caused quite a scene.

This location is an absolute disaster. It was pretty warm outside and this place was cranking the heat like it was the dead of winter. I felt like I had run a marathon by the time I got back outside, not only because I was sweating bullets, but because it took forever to check out.

Such a bad experience! Inattentive associates on the floor, limited cash registers open, no sense of urgency, no customer service from manager but worst of all it was so uncomfortably hot inside the store! Ugh !

Dismal and rundown from the view outside, and it’s not much better inside. Your whole shopping experience will feel frazzled. Nothing is well stocked and there is no sense to how they organize the aisles, so get ready to walk around in circles like an idiot. The food selection is depressing — they only ever have about one carton of milk, inexplicably, every time. They sell the cheapest clothing on earth. I have to give them some stars because I bought my cheapest and most favorite pair of leggings here. Try not to interact with the cashiers too much, because they all seem like they want to die. This place is alright for shopping for housewares if you’re ready to venture into our reject sketchball version of K-mart.

Ugly, poorly stocked, dirty, and just unpleasant overall. All I wanted was a freaking futon. They have one there that basically hit the mark. Of course there isn’t a single salesperson anywhere to be found. We finally had to go to the counter and get one paged. Enter«Dan» aka the surliest mofo you’ll ever meet. We show him the futon and he glares at us for a minute before asking what kind of car we’re driving in a really nasty tone. We tell him when we see the futon boxed, we’ll know if it will fit in the car. He sighs dramatically and slumps off. By the time we got the futon, I had noticed a cheaper version on . Asked at checkout if we could get the online price. Answer: No. Bcs apparently a shitty Kmart in Hyannis is doing so great that basic customer service is no longer necessary. Here’s where we get our second star: the nice manager lady tells us we can order the futon online now for in-store pickup and just grab it. She says it will just take an hour or so to process the order. Awesome! We ordered online(Joe and I did all the work bcs nice manager lady literally said, «I don’t know how our computers work, I just always make someone else do the work.») and then we went out to kill a couple hours. The time was 6:30 pm. By 10pm, I still hadn’t gotten the confirmation email so we went back to Kmart where we discovered – via the same nice manager lady – that none of the employees had done shit with our order and now it was too late. So basically, we hung around Hyannis for 3 and a half hours while no one did anything they said they were going to do, even though this nice manager lady was there the whole time and seriously why didn’t it occur to her to page someone to process the damn order!!! Probably bcs she always has someone do her paging for her too. So we went home without a futon, and we were told to «call when the store opens at 7:30» to ask someone to process our order. Aka remind them to do the job they should have done 12 hours ago. Do you want me to call your employees to remind them when to show up for work too? If this was just one bad experience at an otherwise ok store, it would be different. But seriously, the whole store is so dirty and poorly stocked, and the merch all looks so grimy… Guys, it was just a bad experience, ok?

The stench of urine is overbearing in the parking lot. Overpriced, dirty and dated. I feel like I’m in an 80’s movie every time I step in here. It really needs to go

I stopped in here to buy come necessities. I hadn’t been to a Kmart in 15 years and this one didn’t make me want to return to one. However, there wasn’t a Target around, so this place had to do… The place seemed a bit outdated and the items a little overpriced compared to Target.

Grim, even by K-Mart standards. Because this one is onThe Cape, even K-Mart charges a lot more than in their other stores. Most grocery /cleaning items even more expensive than the better supermarkets like Stop & Shop. They survive because they’re there and thanks to unsuspecting tourists who need stuff!

Walking into this Kmart is like stepping back in time. Everything in the Capetown Plaza has changed around it, but Kmart is virtually the same on the inside as when I was a kid in the 80s and 90s; they even still have the toy and gumball dispensers in the entryway! Since the Cape is notoriously lacking a Target, I can understand the popularity of stores like Kmart and Ocean State Job Lot. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy anything here other than joke gifts, toiletries, and miscellaneous goods(uh, like batteries or car washing liquid?). It’s probably a good spot to buy toys for kids since they break them anyway. No offense to people that actually shop here… I know you are locals with no other choice. This would be an amazing spot for a Target.

Rude employees, no one knows what they are doing. Forgot to take off the security tag from one of the items I bought and made me look like I had stolen something. Had to check my receipt and made it a scene. Needless to say, everything checked out with no apology… Will not shop there ever again! They don’t deserve my money…

Shootout lockdowns don’t seem to be the norm here. The selection and prices seem to be standard for a store of this type, and the store was not too crowded. Also has a nice little«Internet café,» minus the«café» part. They did ask about Sears cards, but that’s not too strange considering Kmart and Sears are subsidiaries of the same company.

Back in February I stopped in to this KMart to pick up misc. house stuff… cleaning supplies, paper towels, etc… Unfortunately, I was caught in a store«lock down» after an accused shoplifter pulled a gun and started firing while running out the door… There were at least 5 plain-clothed«shoppers» that were chasing him… they turned out to be security… maybe shootings are par for the course here? Not what I expect on the Cape! With slight hesitation I went back this past weekend to pick up shampoo and more«stuff»… Happy to report that there were no shoplifters or shoot-outs… I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Strange thing though… when I was checking out the cashier asked me if I wanted to apply for a Sears card??? Hmm…
