I called a about a prescription on Monday Feb 12016 the guy that answered the phone I believe his name was chuck he I asked him why the prescription was so high because it was covered by my insurance before he began to get short with me and totally rude to the point that I had to hang up the phone before I used profanity on him this person needs to be reprimanded it this is the way Walgreens conduct their business I will get my prescriptions elsewhere.

I used to love this place but recently they changed staff in the pharmacy and it has become painfully slow. We have been using Walgreens for years and now will be moving to CVS down 685. Nobody has time for this mess!

Staff very friendly. Sometimes shorthanded which makes lines longer than normal. Best pharmacy in Hutto. I always see them at community events and charity events

I have got to get my prescriptions moved to CVS down the street. The pharmacy here is amazingly horrible. I die a little inside every time I get a refill. The wait times are stupid. You can’t ever get in and out of here in less than 30mn. Drive through you say? Good luck! The wait is just as long going through there. Nobody seems to be in any hurry to do anything. I always call ahead to make sure my prescription is made before I get there, but that doesn’t seem to help at all due to there always being a line of three or four people who apparently have to wait the prescribed 10 minutes each for some unknown reason. Everybody just kind of stands around in line and stares at the the employees walking around the pharmacy apparently doing a whole lot of nothing. Never mind that even once you get to the counter to check out, the pharmacy techs can’t even check you out! They always have to wait for the Pharmacist’s approval which hopefully will only delay you another 5 minutes of waiting for them. Holy crap Walgreens, you suck!

Horrible and slow is an understatement. Go to CVS on 685! The pharmacy takes literally 20 minutes to pick up a prescription at either the counter or the drive thru at any given time of the day. Not once, not twice but like the 5th time. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt the first three or four times I stood in line for what seemed like long enough to sit through a golf tournament on TV as perhaps they are just super swamped. Nahh, nobody gets in a hurry to work in this place for real. I might as well go to an emergency room doctor to refill prescriptions, the wait time would be about the same!

Decided to use drive up window. Still a little slow and the speaker box could use a little tuning so you don’t have the high pitch squeal when they first pick up the phone receiver to talk to you.

If you want passionate caring helpful service avoid this pharmacy. Not only did they refuse to fill my RX after talking to the doctor TWICE they told us to find a different pharmacy because they couldnt be troubled with talking to the doctor or filling the correct meds. They will never get business from us again. The HEB on gattis school is almost as close and much more helpful

Living in Hutto, I go to this Walgreens probably way more than I should, but it saves me from Wal-Mart and that is worth the higher prices paid here. As far as Walgreens go, this one is just fine in that they are usually stocked and there isn’t much of a wait in line. Marissa, who is usually working in cosmetics, is super helpful and goes out of her way to make sure you are getting the best deals available. That being said, my complaints here are you really need to keep an eye on what prices are posted and what your items ring up at. I can’t tell you how many times I get someone other than Marissa and the 2/$ 2 Delish Electrolyte waters ring up for $ 1.50/ea. The other gripe I have is they always seem to randomly have things obstructing the aisles at the busiest time of day… I don’t know what the deal is with this? Seriously, there have been huge stock carts just sitting in the main aisle way or just a mop and a bucket sitting in an aisle or just an overfilled cart sitting in the middle of an aisle… all of which are unattended!!! But, I get my Walgreens rewards and when they have their cosmetics sales, you can get some really good deals. So I guess I just need to continue to fend my way through their aisle-obstacle labyrinth and be content that Hutto even has a Walgreens. Sidenote: They have two Redbox Kiosks and for reasons I have yet to uncover, 3 electric car charging stations in the parking lot(I have yet to see an electric on any street in Hutto), but hey, it’s the thought that counts!

Clean location. Empty parking. Is it just me or do all Walgreens look the same? The only thing differentiating one Walgreens from another is one type(like this) is clean and stocked, or it’s trashed nasty ghetto like many in downtown. I don’t expect much in the way of service nowadays so for me it’s all about: «Can I get in/out with what I came in for quickly?» This location would qualify.

The thing I like about Walgreens is the convenient location. It doesn’t matter where you live, where you are coming from or where you are going, there is almost always a Walgreens on the way, and often you don’t even need to make a left turn to get there. I also like the selection. The location is very convenient, but you have a bit more options than a typical«convenience store» and the prices are typically better as well. The thing I don’t like so much about Walgreens is the store layout – where is the bread? The toothbrushes? I find myself wandering often when searching for anything not directly visible from the front. I’m also not a fan of their policy lately of requiring the track-your-every-move card in order to get a sale price on items. I was checking out and wanted to get some sale prices, so I forked over my precious personal information, except I found the clerk already had access to it… she was just confirming what Walgreens already knew about me. Since I’ve gotten a prescription filled at a(different location) Walgreens, the Hutto Walgreens knew my home address, phone number and my real date of birth(which not even my Facebook friends know, because there I lie about my DOB). Walgreens knows more about me than my Facebook friends. Too creepy. Still, I can’t get over that location(s). I’m sure I’ll be back anyway, Walgreen’s.
