Great park! Clean trails, lots of open space & field for running around. The lake is gorgeous and has a dock w a bench for fishing, and a couple of tiny doggie beaches. There’s a really nice covered pavilion, picnic tables, and a great basketball court. Excited about this discovery!

Cute park but kind of weird that a park that is surrounded by homes has so few playscape options for kids. Previous reviewers were right– what’s up with that bizarre cement slide?

I literally just stumbled upon this park while driving lol It’s in a nice area, the development looks new. It’s kind of odd that they put a cement slide there… looks kind of dangerous but kids seem to like it. Lots of people fishing and lots of ducks… my dogs enjoyed it ;)

Bring some bread for the ducks, they’re very friendly. The walk around the lake is a long one. Not sure who thought a cement slide would be good for the kids, though!

Very nice little community park! Especially nice after a nice rain and the lake is full. Great running circumvents the lake and if you get there in the early morning there are some nice waterfowl(ducks/cranes) and birdwatching!

It is my mission is to keep as much of my business in Hutto as possible. Although a public park is not technically a «business», I’m fairly certain my taxes went into building the damn thing so I should use it. Plus, I’m training for another half-marathon and am looking for a spot that isn’t 40 minutes away. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Town Lake! Hutto Town Lake is a pleasant trail. One loop around the lake is mile and is half concrete/half trail. It’s not very wide so there is a bit of jockeying for space with joggers going in opposite directions, especially if both of you have dogs. There is a cut-through near the beginning of the trail if you need to divert your path, which is helpful. There is a park of children to play, benches if you want to have a picnic, and plenty of parking. I generally access the park via FM685. You can see it from the trail, but there’s not a direct way to get to the park from there. Winding though the neighborhood is a bit of a pain. Is it the best, most interesting trail I’ve ever run? No. Is it nice to have a local option? Yes.
