Family Dental Center of Hutto

I have seen both Dr. Jean and Dr. Mark Feldman.
Dr. Mark is extremely personable and the staff very friendly. I felt very comfortable being around all of them. That being said, when Dr. Mark did some fillings for me, I felt nervous because his hands shake. He didn’t do a very good job smoothing down the filling, which eventually chipped. Dr. Jean corrected the filling and smoothed it down, making it feel like my tooth did before (and not like I had a big lump sticking to the back of my tooth).
The practice plays Christian music all the time. For some this is going to be a positive, for others a negative. I’d prefer if they didn’t play music that alienated some of their patients, but that’s just me. However, I was extremely offended by some of Dr. Jean’s extremely strong political opinions, which she shared with me. Not exactly appropriate conversation to be having with a patient, and being that she had a needle in my mouth at the time, I wasn’t in a position to argue.
I’ve had bad luck with fillings here. For some reason they always seem to chip or come out and I’ve had almost as many appointments getting them fixed as I have getting them put in in the first place. I don’t know if that’s because I’m just hard on my teeth or what. I do grind, but the fillings I got ten years ago have been fine. I will say, the staff is very kind and they’re willing to work with you. The last time I was in, they offered to set up a payment plan with me if I needed it to pay for the work I was getting done. I was extremely appreciative of that.
I have very mixed feelings about this practice. I was loyal to them for a long time because they treated me kindly, but I feel like the dentistry itself wasn’t top notch, and I can no longer stand having extremely conservative, extremely right wing views thrust at me every time I visit, so I’m forced to find another dentist.

Both Dr. Feldmans are great and the staff is very knowledgable while also being vey personable. I have had routine cleanings and major dental work at this location. All my experiences at this dental center have been VERY pleasant!

After having several VERY bad experiences with another dentist in Hutto, I came to this dentist. The dentist and staff did everything to make my kids comfortable, and went as slow as necessary to put them at ease considering the trauma they had been through with the other dentist. I can not say enough good things about this practice. They are professional, courteous, thoughtful, and compassionate. They have done their best to do the least invasive measures possible, even when doing so earned them a lot less money. I did however, earn them my trust, which in the end is a lot more valuable.
When my children’s old dentist sent over paper copies of xrays, which were worthless, this office took more, at no charge, since insurance would not cover a new set. They were more concerned about getting the job done right that just the almighty dollar. My family of seven will now be using this office exclusively. I recommend you do the same for your family, they are just amazing at this office!
