We were greeted by an unfriendly hostess followed by an unfriendly waiter. Kinda like we were an inconvenience to them. The restaurant was empty. We should have known why. The food was terrible. Chicken like rubber. Burritos cool and tastless. We ate here couple years ago. Nothing has changed. Pass on this one. Howvdo they stay in business?

I love Sonora’s. They have amazing food and excellent service! Every time I come here, I leave happy and stuffed. Juan and his family make sure that you have enough chips and salsa, and make you feel at home. My family has been going to Sonora’s since they first opened, and each time we have fabulous food and service.
My personal favorites are the tacos al pastor and chicken fajitas… they are full of flavor and awesome!

Being from out west, I find it hard to find authentic Mexican food in Minnesota. Who knew it was in Hutchinson?!
I will note, however, the atmosphere is a little grungy. I’d give the looks of the place one star, but the food is a five!

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch, early supper and we were pleasantly suprised. Food and service was fantastic and the prices can’t be beat. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Hutchinson.

It was my birthday and with family in town we needed a place to grab some dinner… I’ve been meaning to try Sonora’s for months, and figured this was the perfect time to do it. It was a Tuesday night, so it was pretty quiet, and we got a nice big booth in the corner. We got some delicious queso for our chips and I ordered the streak burrito supreme.
Positives:
–Really good and authentic Mexican food. I’ve eaten at a lot of Mexican places, and this one certainly ranks right up there. Everyone else loved their food.
–Fantastic portions and prices. My meal was $ 9 and I was quite full, plus you get the standard all you can torilla chips.
–Family-owned atmosphere. The husband and wife that own the restaurant were the two running it that night, and I love that setup.
Negatives:
–Nothing comes to mind…
Definitely a great downtown food stop — check out Sonora’s!
