I was traveling thru the area and stopped at McCormicks for breakfast. The dark green color and four leaf clovers welcomed me. First I noticed the homemade bakery items. I started with a cherry turnover. Delicious. Fresh out of the oven today. Served warm. I ordered the country sausage and biscuits. The menu said it was their own recipe. It was amazing. The hum of the patrons sharing their worldly views and the old school waitresses who work hard to keep this busy place organized provide an atmosphere that is becoming a piece of American history. «You doing ok over here sweetheart? How can I leave anything but a big tip with that level of customer service? All the food is homemade. The stand alone parking lot has space for RVs. The bathrooms were newly updated and very clean. If you find yourself in Hutchinson Minnesota, take a moment to eat at McCormicks.

Bland cafeteria food at best. Server asked how my food was, and I said not very good, they simply said «that’s too bad» and walked away. Which is what I tell everybody to do with restaurant, just walk away.

I had a really god dinner here last week. Our server, Linda I believe, was super nice and made great recommendations. The menu is nothing special but I totally recommend getting pie. Linda gave a stellar review of the strawberry white chocolate pie. Holy smokes! It was sooooooo good! Next time I might just come in for a couple pieces pie.
