I have piercings, and I can always count on hot topic to have awesome jewelry sales. I went there about a week ago to buy(my first) a septum ring for my job(I wanted a black one, so that when I flip it in my nose, it’s not silver) I was unsure where the septum piercings were and an awesome young lady named Carlee helped me out! She too had a septum piercing, and I even got to ask her a few questions which she answered for me. I ended up being a goofball and noticed I bought some jewelry that had the same colors as the other ones I bought, and as soon as she payed me out I had to ask her to return them, so I could get a new pair, and she did it effortlessly and told me it was no problem! GOCARLEE!

When we went here recently we must have popped into a staff meeting(or the regional manager was there) because there were a ton of employees huddled together.(Plus the store looked suspiciously overly organized and clean for some reason). I think Hot Topic is getting kind of old at this point… When Hot Topic first came out it was such a big deal(OMG, it’s like a dark Gadzooks before it went lame with girl only clothing). Now, it’s slowing transitioning into a pop store and less about what they were originally about(Is that a Justin Bieber shirt I see??) BTW Hot Topic… I might like the movie that you’re selling the shirt of, but I don’t want to be a walking billboard either(Be more creative!!!) It’s even hard to find something that I(or my girlfriend) would purchase anymore(ok… maybe I’d buy the Dead Kennedy’s shirt) so we normally just browse more then shop. Anyhow, I hope Hot Topic can figure out a way to keep itself from going down the same path as Gadzooks while being able to embrace new business models like , or even because I seem to find much cooler shirts at these websites then any Hot Topic store.
