I wish I’d looked at these reviews before booking. The room was comfortable(casita room), but lacked a casual seating area. Maybe we were unlucky and others units do. We played the golf course, and would fully recommend the course to anyone. Only(slight) complaint was the constant noise from maintenance and construction vehicles — we expected that the place would’ve been more tranquil. Our major complaint is this is NOT a resort. We have been to other golf resorts such as Bandon Dunes, and anticipated that a resort would have at least a restaurant and bar on site that did not close at 6pm. This would’ve been less of an issue if there were any other places to dine within walking distance. The«resort» is quite remote, and as we rented a casita(hotel room), it was not possible to cook in the room. I would play the course again if I was in the area, but definitely would stay elsewhere.

Not sure what all the complaints are about. This is a secluded resort is a very interesting and beautiful area of the Sand Hollow area of Hurricane. Dunes suite 2 – 101 was huge and well appointed most like nicer than most visitors own home. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you’d need to cook just about anything. Five of us slept very comfortable. There was absolutely no noise. It was almost too quite. Washer and dryer. Master bath with huge shower, separate tub, separate room for toilet, walk in closet, double sink and more. The check in process is laid back. This is like using your rich uncles golf resort condo. It very private. I’d come back in a heart beat. ½ way between Zion and St George. The place was cleaner then my own house(and we have a house keeper). Someone owns the unit(as indicated by the various closets marked«owners»). Yes, this is not a hotel, it’s better.

Make sure you know that this is not a resort/hotel before making reservation. Found it in and it was sold as a resort but I believe that these are rented out condos from owners. Room was dusty and dirty. Called the number on the paper given to us to call if we had questions to ask about getting an extra bed and was told that they had no idea what to do. They were the restaurant and we needed to call the pro shop??? So we called the Pro Shop and they said that they weren’t sure what to do but they would check. Long story short we eventually got a bed. If I was golfing I might be able to overlook that being as that the rooms are on the course but if your not golfing there then go somewhere else. There is basically no one there to help you.

We stayed in a Dunes Suite for the Ironman race in early May. It was a great price for the location(close to race start). The scenery is beautiful, the property is gorgeous, and the room was fantastic. However, the voice level is ridiculous. We can hear full conversations of neighbors indoors with windows closed, and the building literally shook and rattled just from the people above us walking around. As luck would have it, we had a huge family running around screaming until after midnight the night before our race. If you are going to stay here, book a top level room and walk quietly ;) your neighbors will thank you.

Very happy overall with our stay here. We did our research so we knew ahead of time that this is not a hotel with hotel amenities. We also knew about the noise issue in the casita rooms so we just dealt with it. It is also a good distance from shopping and restaurants but if you like solitude and incredible views from every direction, this is where you want to be. Our room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for 2 people. We had a kitchenette with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, etc. A trip to the local Walmart to stock up on coffee, breakfast food and snacks was all we needed to do. The sunsets were so beautiful and wow, I don’t think I’ve seen so many stars at night! For what you get here, this really is a hidden gem.

This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to golfing, boating, or really any of the great outdoor adventures that southern Utah has to offer. If I stay here again I will get one of the 2 or 3 bedroom options. I stayed in the one room queen bed option and it was nice but you can hear the neighbors conversations In the suite next to you. This isn’t a hotel so don’t expect to have your towels changed or your bed made. The golf course was great and gave us a discount to stay here. Close to st george but I’m going to give this 3 stars because hearing our neighbors in the other room isn’t ideal.

I’ve been here a few times and if you love golf, you will love Sand Hollow. We were just there for a wedding and I left a few items in one of the villas. They were kind enough to ship the items, including an iPad back to me within a week. They took very good care of us and I would highly recommend everyone checking this place out. It’s really unbelievable.
