Comfort Inn River’s Edge

Visiting cedar point for the weekend and this place is by far one of the best hotels in the area. Besides the noise people were making in the hallway and people slamming the door in the wee hours of the morning. Otherwise this place would of gotten 5 stars from me. I will definitely come back to this location next time!

Clean rooms. Nice patio by water to eat/​drink. Simple pool, no hot tub or weight room. Ask for water view room.

This place is pretty nice. I really can’t complain for for the price we paid compared to the other hotels that are lesser quality but a little bit closer to the park. This place had clean sheets, a clean bathroom, free breakfast and an indoor pool. the rooms are average sized… it gets a little crowded if you have 4 people in the 2 double bed room. It is somewhat annoying that they are double beds and not queen. the shower was clean and the water stayed hot for as long as we wanted it to. We did have an issue with the water escaping the shower and filling the bathroom floor. We put towels down to soak up the water and ultimately it wasn’t a big deal but we weren’t doing anything that should warrant water escaping the shower.
the pool was OK. No hot tub. The pool was not heated which was a slight disappointment. Breakfast was as decent as you expect free breakfast to be. Waffles, some hot food (eggs, sausage), donuts, bagels, bread, fruit and yogurt. We had a room near the lobby and sound was somewhat of a problem. We could pretty much hear every conversation going on in the hallways word for word. If you’re a light sleeper I would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor in the end of the hallway.
Overall, I’d say this place did it’s job for what we expected and what we paid. It’s right on the river so the views are nice and it’s about 15 min from Cedar Point.

My fiancée and I stayed here for one night in the summer of 2013. The staff were very nice and friendly and the area was beautiful. The cost was very affordable and we’d definitely stay there again if we were ever in the area. I think it was still undergoing some renovations, but you could already see the benefits of the improvements they’d made.
