We love this place! The staff is always super nice, and the food comes out quickly. My daughter and I eat here often, but I would feel comfortable going by myself. We’ve had sushi, noodles and the Bento box so far. Probably one of the best restaurants in Huntsville. Will continue to visit as long as we live here.

I brought my mom here tonight because my husband is out of town. We love the peaceful ambiance and friendly waitstaff.
My mom went with the large peach sake! So cold and delicious! I had a glass of Cab served cold! We started with a soup and salad from our Bento Box. The salad is served with the house ginger dressing which is some of the best I’ve ever had! Then we had the gyoza! One serving comes with 6! It is pan fried which gives it a nice texture!
Then our bento box came out! Served with beef, fried rice, a crab puff, 2 spring rolls, and 2 dipping sauces! All for only $ 8.99!
I also have to brag on the waitress! She is the only one waiting on tables and making the sushi!!! She is very attentive and always kind!

Don’t waste your money in this restaurant. The food and the service worth zero star. The waitress didn’t say any word to us, just raise her chin and throw the menu to us. At first I feel really sorry for her for being disabled, until she said sweet nice words to white guys on the next table. Then during the whole lunch time, she wasn’t around to take care of us. But in the end, she stood and stared at us when we wrote tips. With such terrible service, the beef is also hard to chew. It is the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Don’t go there. Big NO NO.

I usually love this place, if just for the owner and her family– such sweet people. They run lunch specials which are very affordable and pretty good. The sushi is good, not great (I mean, we’re not right on the water, after all), but the sauces are pretty good.

Unfortunately they are understaffed & I wouldn’t go for a dine in meal if you’re in a hurry.

This was a nice surprise find for a local Huntsville restaurant. I’ve eaten at most of the restaurants here and I have to say the majority of them are not worth their prices. However, this place surprised me not only with their prices yet with their great food and variety on their menu. It’s fresh and some of the best Japanese food I’ve eaten. I would give it 5 stars yet I think their one draw back is the place needs a thorough cleaning over such as the glass partitioning and polishing the wood etc. Other than that it’s a 5 star place to eat! Oh! Their bento boxes ROCK!

The service was good but the price did not match the quality. We had three rolls, the Hawaiian, Tiger Eye, and Rainbow. The tiger eye was good but the Hawaiian and Rainbow had way too much rice. The rainbow was especially disappointing because it had a lot less fish than the menu picture and it was $ 13!

If you love sushi and in college (or broke) then this is the place for you! Cheap sushi and will fill you up. I always get the Hawaiian roll or Bearkat roll with an order of edamame beans. Absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly. Small quaint place. Sushi is just really, really great.

Bear in mind, this is a budget restaurant. You can’t have expectations of some 4 star joint. That being said; this is a great place, with awesome lunch specials. I recommend it. I’ve had several sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken, and curry chicken.

My family, friends, and I eat here all of the time. It is a small business run by a small family. Everyone there is extremely friendly. The food is outstanding and always fresh. I love this place! :)

This is the only sushi I will eat in a 200 mile radius– yes it’s just THAT good. I can honestly say, I eat here at least once a month! Prices are excellent. The owners are such nice people and it’s great for everyone of all ages!

I eat here once a week, just about. The only dish here I thought was unpleasant was their char grilled salmon, but other than that, the sushi and hibatchi food has been really good.

Delicious. Sushi is great, Hibachi beef is amazing. I also love the Hibachi veggie plate. Good prices. Good Saki selection and a moderate selection of bottled beer. We love this place. CHEAP CHEAP lunch specials!!! Closed on Sunday :(

Being seated and served by a 10 year kid is not my idea of fine dining. When I eat sushi I have questions… What is fresh today? What do you recommend? This kid couldn’t answer anything. I don’t blame the kid, I do blame the owner however. The food was not great. By the way the kid was serving us sake which I’m sure is illegal. I do not recommend this place to anyone expecting decent sushi and service.

I was hesitated to try this only Japanese place in because i doubt for its freshness in this small town.
but one day I was really craving for Japanese so I gave it a try. it was ok.
i ordered hibachi chicken lunch and tuna tuna roll. the sushi roll is not fresh looking, but taste alright. at the quality that’s just ok to feed my craving.
the hibachi chicken, however, was the saltiest I have ever eaten in my entire life. it might have just been that one plate, but man, I could feel my kidney failing on me when I swallow it.
I won’t give up on this place tho, after all it’s an ok place and only Japanese so far, I gotta rely on it for a while. maybe a few more try.

We chose the Chicken Teriyaki and the house salad. Was very nice atmosphere and pleasant. We would take friends and family here.
The food was very fresh and service was polite and decent timing to serve. Nice size fountain cups to enjoy and the refills where given decently timing.
It is not a place to serve a huge party but decent to bring a couple of people to eat some great food. Price is decent for the amount given.
Near down town Huntsville and S.H.S.U. You could go for a walk if you like walking and enjoy the other shops around. Especially some Antique shops about a few blocks away.
Parking in the parking lot was a bit crowded and small. Other than that come on in and get seated to eat some Chicken Teriyaki or Sushi at the Sushi Bar.
I felt like I was in Tokyo! Well… it was close enough~

I agree with the previous reviewer — one of the best places to eat in Huntsville. Food is great, with the exception of the fact that they put way too much sauce on top of their specialty sushi rolls. But they are good and reasonably priced. Totally okay to go here if you’re not a sushi fan, too — fried rice, yakisoba noodles, and bento boxes are on the menu too.
Service is good, but it’s not a quick run-​in-​run-​out place. They don’t have that many people working there and large parties may have to wait a while to get the bill or get orders.

This is one of the only decent restaurants in Huntsville! The service is good, the food is great and reasonably priced, the servings are large, and the drinks are cheap. I have no complaints at all.
