I did not purchase my Sugar Belle cupcake from the cupcake truck. Instead, I went to their new shop on Jordan Lane and purchased my cupcake there. I purchased the chocolate salted caramel, and oh my gosh, it was the best cupcake I have ever tasted. It wasn’t too rich or too sweet so that it made me feel sick or weighted down afterwards, and it was the perfect mixture of salty and sweet. I love cupcakes, and I have eaten cupcakes at cupcake shops aplenty, but this cupcake was absolutely delicious. If I had to say one not-great thing(I’m not saying«bad» because there is nothing«bad» about the place) about Sugar Belle, it would simply be that they don’t seem to have a TON of choices on the menu. This could be because they don’t have enough business or exposure just yet, and making tons of cupcakes that don’t sell simply because no one knows about your business would be a complete waste of money. However, I devoured my cupcake, and my friend, who got the peanut butter chocolate, let me try a bite of his, and it was really good too.(Not as good as my salted caramel one, though. :-).) So, who really needs options when the salted caramel one is so delicious??! :-) Seriously though. I will definitely be going back in the future.

Forget GiGis! Sugar Belle has the best sip cakes in town! The ingredients are fresh and bold. They have classic options for cupcake traditionalists and innovative combinations for those who like to mix it up. In addition to having a mostly fixed truck location downtown, they roll out for events. They are closed when the weather is bad, which has made some of my gloomy days even gloomier. I can’t blame them, I wouldn’t want to be stuck in a trailer in the rain with slow business! The cupcakes are small, but when you get great tasting food, you don’t need over sized portions. The cake to icing ratio is phenomenal. I’ve never had a single cupcake here that wasn’t impressive. They make great seasonal options and on St. Patrick’s Day then even made Lily Flagg Car Bombs to sell outside of Straight to Ale! I waited for a long time for food trucks to come to Huntsville, and Sugar Belle is doing it right!

The cupcakes are way too small for the price. They’re just regular cupcakes with«daring toppings.» They’re edible, nothing out of this world but decent. It doesn’t justify $ 3 for one or $ 5 for two. I’m all for local food trucks, so good luck to you! Last I’ve seen them, they park across from Below the Radar around lunch time on weekdays.

I love the idea of the truck and the easy access to purchase just one perfectly portioned sweet treat. Though, my experience left much to be desired. I had the chocolate salted caramel. The cake was crumbly and fairly dry with an oiliness in what seemed to be an attempt to make the cake appear more moist. The icing was too dense, too sugary, and too sweet for my personal preference. If the cake had been better, I would have been saddened that the icing overpowered it. As is the trend so it was expected, the price is too high for a cupcake, much less a subpar cupcake.

Loved the truck! The cupcake I had was amazing! The chocolate salted caramel was so good! Price was a little high for 2 cupcakes but it was understandable and worth it!
