Been many times but the salad bar is always needing to be failed it’s always bare. Other than the salad bar the place is great

Compared to other Ruby Tuesday stores, this one was disappointing. Salad bar was poorly serviced. Salad dishes were frankly coated with food bits – dirty, not just greasy and water spotted. Found a reasonable clean one out of five. What, no more garlic mashed either?! How bad can it get?

Not sure why all the bad reviews, Ruby Tuesdays has always been good and they do have a great salad bar. Atmosphere did seem to lack at a few restaurants locally but that seems to have gotten better over the last year or so. Get on their email list and coupons make it even better.

The two stars I give to Ruby Tuesdays are for the salad bar and the salad bar alone. The food is overpriced and does not taste good. Everything shows up frozen and they just heat it up like a lean cuisine. I only go to this restaurant when someone else is paying or if I want a good salad. The staff isn’t all that great either. I miss the old Ruby Tuesdays with the checkered table cloths and the ketchup bottles on the table. When they went for a new, fancier look a few years back, the quality of their food went down and the prices went up. Bring back the checkered table cloths!

I was so disappointed in my experience at Ruby Tuesday today at lunch 11:30 — 12:30. My date and I sat at a table in the bar area. We ordered water to drink and the salad bar so we were very low maintenance. Toward the end of our meal a young man came in with bags from Zaxby’s Chicken. Five to seven employees(including our waitress/bartended) huddled around the«Zaxby» table in the corner of the bar and feasted. They seemed like they were STARVING. Maybe they were but they should have taken a break instead of leaving their customers. We finally gave up on trying to pay. Luckily I had cash to leave on the table. As we were leaving there was a man at the door looking for someone to seat him. You could tell he had been there several minutes. I told him it was going to be a while because they were all in the corner of the bar eating. I can’t say the entire restaurant was abandoned but the bar and the front door were abandoned. This was a second chance we gave Ruby Tuesday. We used to eat there a couple of times a month but about a year ago we were sitting at a table in the bar area. First of all the bartender/waitress got our order by yelling at us over other tables. Then an employee was standing on the bar doing something with the light fixture. On her way down she used a barstool for support and it cracked and tilted. She just straightened the barstool and went about her business. The bar top was never wiped down where she had been standing on it. Also, a customer came in and sat in that stool. He didn’t completely fall but they chair gave and he was very embarrassed. I wish I would have complained at the time but we just didn’t have an interest in going back. Both visits were like a circus. There are no other restaurants in the immediate area so it is really a shame that this one couldn’t be taken seriously.

Pleasant ambiance with an upbeat Muzak selection of(half) popular rock from the last 40 years and(half) recent hits. Subdued, but not dim lighting, enough light to read a book at each booth(but not at the tables). Clean carpets and table tops. New chair and booth upholstery in 2014, booths show heavy wear after only a year. 4-top tables have heavy vinyl covers, but booths don’t. Thick, lint-free paper napkins and sharp steak knives. Flawless service late on a Saturday night. Salmon and grilled chicken both prepared perfectly. Salad bar still looked fresh and well-stocked at 10 pm. Nice selection of cheeses, ham, pasta and potato salads, as well as four different greens. I would rank it in the top 10% of salad bars nationwide. Baked potato 95% fluffy perfection. $ 12 plus tax & tip is a good price for a chicken breast, potato, and all you can eat salad bar. 94% rating(July 2014) from the Health Department is an excellent rating for a full-service restaurant with a self-serve salad bar. Family friendly to the point that it can be hard to have a quiet meal in the early evening. I can’t give it a first date recommendation for that reason, but it’s great for late nights since it has a full bar.

I ordered Tuesday-to-Go and when I arrived I waited 15min. in the car and no one ever came out. I got out in the rain and went inside to get my order. They said they did not notice me sitting in the To-Go parking space. When I got home the food was good but they gave us the wrong vegetables. I gave the Ruby-to-Go a second chance and once again after sitting in the To-Go spot for 10 min after I went inside to get my food. They searched for my order and after a few minutes and some running around they realized they gave my food to someone else. I had to wait while they prepared my meal again. I had a burger and the other person had a big pasta dish so it is hard to see how they could make that mistake. I bet she as upset when she got home. So bottom line, food is good if they can get it right but their Ruby-to-Go service needs to be monitored a little more closely.

Once a month my division goes out to lunch to celebrate those who have a birthday during that specific month. The birthday kids for March 2011 selected this Ruby Tuesday. As far as Ruby Tuesday goes, this is probably one of the better that I have been to. The service was great, especially when handling a group of about 10 people unexpectedly. The place was mostly empty, which was surprising considering this isn’t far from Redstone Arsenal Gate 1. I had the Avocado Turkey Burger, which I wasn’t impressed with. The avocado was awkwardly chunked off on top of the turkey patty and was relatively flavorless. The turkey patty itself was also lacking in flavor. The bun was nicely toasted. I had it with a side of sweet potato fries, which were also not impressive. Overall the meal was bland. So, why three stars then? They gave us all free cupcakes! Only three people were celebrating their birthday, but they gave us all free cupcakes. And let me say, the cupcakes were de – wait for it – licious. Delicious. Seriously, Ruby Tuesday makes a hell of a cupcake. Perfectly moist and soft with excellent frosting. I’m a fan. Cupcakes and good service bring this up from 2 to 3 stars.
