Bring the young folks to see this store. It is a prime example of what a hardware store looked like in grand-dad’s day. The Lewters have been operating this store since 1928. Before Lowe’s or Home Depot. Back when you could tell the hardware man your problem, and he could hand you the exact part you needed. Instead of getting a dumb look from a teenage Wal-Mart clerk who’s filling in from another department, leaving you to buy a whole new contraption. I find Lewters more interesting than Harrison Brothers. Lewters is still real. Harrison Brothers is now just a girly gift shop for tourist souvenirs.

I can’t believe it’s taken me three years to find this place. All the time I’ve wasted running around looking for stuff. It was all here the whole time. Nice folks, great store.

This place is awsome. Just like the good olé days before the big chains. Guys are there to help as soon as you walk in the store. You would be supprised at how much stuff they have. Good quality merchandise too. I bought some good quality Wind Chimes there that have been the envy of the neighborhood…
