First time here today. I agree with previous reviewer that the owner is super nice. I found him endearing immediately and wish I could rate this higher. He’s native Greek and speaks Greek. There’s a sign that reads«We speak Greek», which I got a kick out of. Love cultural diversity in Huntsville. Owner explained the menu options to me, as written on the wall. My impression was, if this is a Greek place, why have an American menu? The name of the place is gyros and healthy fare, so yeah, I’ll have a double cheese burger and fries? Hmm. I felt a tad like Gordon Ramsey: pick one thing and stick to it. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro, sandwich only, for $ 4.99. That’s the least expensive gyro I’ve seen in town, and I understood why when I got it. It’s small, on very thin pita bread, and had about half the meat I expected. It lacked flavor, especially in the thin sauce. I was going to give this 3 stars, but came down with a bad aftertaste after I ate, and an upset stomach to boot. If I were the owner, I’d revamp the gyro and the menu. Charge more but make it right. Bigger pita, more meat, flavorful tzaziki, onions, and tomatoes. On a side note, the location in the food court of a nearly defunct mall has to hurt business. If I were the owner, I’d close up and reopen as a Greek food truck. He’d do oh-so-much better.

I love this place. The owner is incredibly nice and he remembers me and my mom every single time we come by to eat. The gyros are great — I’ve eaten quite a few gyros, and this one ranks up there as being one of the best — and the fries are also delicious. I’ve also had the falafal, but I always come back for the lamb gyro. The baklava is also very good, and the prices for everything are incredibly reasonable. Overall, the best place in the Madison Square Mall to eat, and one of the healthiest!
