So, in all honesty, the food was mediocre. What upset me was the fact that I found a hair in my food; my first plate. I don’t like hair in my food and I lost my appetite, so I wanted to wait for the waitress to come back so that I could ask for a refund. 20 minutes later, the waitress finally checks up on me, and refuses to refund me because I was there for more than half an hour, and so does the manager. 20 minutes out of the 39 minutes I was there were spent waiting on her. Should I have gotten my lazy butt up and gotten her? Maybe! But I spent 12 $ on a half a plate of food.

Yes, good buffet, lots of choices, from boiled shrimp & sushi to pick your own stir fry. I thought the food was okay but not great. When I was leaving I notice the sign listing 3 times food was refreshed, shoot, we had last bit of 3:00, food was replaced @ 6:30. Wish I had waited 20 minutes but we really didn’t have that luxury since driving to Dallas @ night. I think soup would be best choice since the longer it cooks the better, the egg dropped look great but I had the sweet & sour, it lacked flavor & needed more zing. Both waiter & hostess were personable but the front person who takes your money wasn’t welcoming at all, no hello, here’s our buffet, how are you, thank you, nothing, but taking the $. I think it would be 4 stars if we had started the buffet @ 6:40 right after 3rd round of fresh food, but not 5 star until front man improves his people’s skills.

Excellent selection, bourbon chicken is flavorful. Teriyaki chicken smoked char shui style is good. General Tsao pork batter holds up and is crunchy good. Green beans okay could use a groung beef garlic accent. Steamed rice is too moist but I like it better than dried, loose versions elsewhere. Chow mein is ordinary. Crawfish is frozen China version. Should not serve if Louisiana crawdads are out of season. Baked Fish is good. I’ll eat here again when in Huntsville.

Stopped her on the way to Galveston. It was outstanding. One of the best Chinese buffet I have been to. There was a very good variety of foods. It was hot and it was tasty. My wife and mother-in-law, both of whom are Chines, also, loved it. The price was a little higher than other Chinese lunch buffets, but it was worth it. THey have sushi and a hibachi(Mongolian wok) included with the buffet.

A lot of the negative reviews of this buffet are unfair. It’s a Asian Food buffet, not an order-from-a-menu, special occasion restaurant. As far as Asian Food buffets go, this is one of the better ones that I’ve eaten. The price is not cheap but is reasonable. The selection is wide and well presented. The only real negative for me is that they charge extra if you want soda, tea or coffee. Most others include any beverage in the buffet cost. Oh, and parking is bad. This place could benefit from a better location. The best(for me anyway) is that they offer banana pudding for dessert; an East Texas staple.

Wow, not going back here again… just as Amber S. says, people seem to like this place and talk it up, but they clearly don’t know what they are talking about. The food is average, and the biggest problem is that it’s not hot. Which means it’s probably also not fresh. It’s also expensive. Over $ 9 for a Chinese buffet at lunch? I’ll be down the street at Double Daves where I get more for less if you are looking for me.

OK, seriously, everyone raves about how good this place is. Once was too much, but I endured it a second time to make sure. The service was OK, but the food, awful. I can buy better asian in the frozen food section of Wal-Mart.

Although I have not been to Grand Buffet in ages, I always recommend it to friends and family visiting Huntsville, TX — Apparently there is a virus going around Huntsville and I wanted to get some soup to help combat it — I normally rant and rave about meat dishes and never soups and salads — well, there’s always a place for a ‘first’ — I ordered the House Special Soup with chicken, pork, chicken, shrimp and vegetables — it was quite evident that the vegetables were fresh and had not been bloating around in the broth all day and night long — the bell peppers, onions, celery, carrots broccoli had a bit of a crunch to them and the mushrooms were perfect, firm and flavorful — everything was in a delectable broth — after having the soup, I began to sweat and my throat started to clear — well, I will not wait for another virus to strike before I return to Grand Buffet — I will return first for the soup and then I’ll attack the buffet!

This place is terrible and too big for its strip center location, too much traffic in the parking lot coming and going from taco bell, little caesers, walmart, the liquor store, burger king, starbucks the hair and nails shops, and Kroger. The food is limited, and it smells bad, the wait staff is rude and inattentive, you have to pay first before you enter since it is a buffet. Honestly this place would be better selling out and becoming a ryans or a lubys, those are better places to eat.

I visited the restaurant. The price of buffet was reasonable. It was $ 10. My favorite was Teppan yaki or Hibachi. I mean, I can put veggies and meats on a plate. The cook made some delicious foods. Other foods were Okay. I like here.

Took family here for a dinner. We were starving! So we picked this place to check out. It is perfect for groups of people to come and select out of the Buffet. Maybe just by your self or as a couple too. Not romantic but hey its great for«I’M HUNGARYMOMENT» Tehehhehehe For family of 3 it was a total of $ 34.07 and that includes refillable free drinks served to you. They come and pick up your empty plates off the edge of your table and no worry to move them as you go up for seconds on the buffet. I see them come and put fresh food out every so often and wipe and clean the buffet areas. The food is kept hot and steamingly nice! They seat you and ask for your drink selection and your on your way to get up out of your seat to pick from: baked fish, clams with cheese on it, oriental noodles, fried rice, spicy chicken, orange chicken, beef mongolian, mushrooms with sauce, reg rice, potato wedges, shrimp egg rolls, spring rolls, egg noodle soup, enchiladas, salad bar, fruit such as cantaloupe, watermelon, banana pudding, chocolate pudding, cookies, cakes, and more. I think I am quite full! It’s not the BEST place but it is an A-ok great place to have a chat across the table with family and friends to sit back and relax a little while eating. I also see they are expanding to have a Hibachi Grill and Sushi Bar!

Average chinese buffet, honestly really nothing special. They have a lack of interesting dishes and the dishes they do have are all pretty much a let down.

If you’re starving, then this place will do. There is a lot of variety. I was disappointed because I thought this would be a purely Chinese Buffet but it’s actually quite varied. The food was OK. Depending on what you got. This place is good for a bite with friends if you have time to kill in Huntsville.

Best Chinese-American food Buffet in Huntsville. You have to pay first, then get seated. Guess they had people walk and/or share.
