Tonight, I was asked on a date after I finished a paper. I chose Denny’s for our first date, because I am a bit of a night owl. I asked for a t-bone breakfast and told the waitress I would like it medium rare. I asked her to please tell the cook to cut into the steak, if needed. I told her it’s a maximum of one and a half minutes on each side. I begged her not to bring me a well done steak. I am so specific because I have had problems in the past when ordering a medium rare steak here. My date ordered a medium sirloin steak. They brought both steaks well done. I have always been treated like I am the one in the wrong when I ask for them to bring a medium rare steak once they have served me a well done steak. The manager, Shanice, came out to inform us that the cook, Johnathon, refused to cook another steak, because I have«been there before and had the same problem». I will say, however, that Shanice was by far the most professional manager, aside from(I believe) the GM, that I have dealt with to date at this location. I don’t mean to imply that that is saying much, just that she is better than the rest. I worked on papers and projects for 19 hours today. I don’t get a lot of opportunities to go on dates and I have not eaten all day. My appetite is ruined and so is our first date. I find it extremely disappointing and offensive that the cost of a steak is more important to this establishment than ensuring that a) the cook is prepared to cook a steak the way a customer would like it and b) the occasion which a customer is celebrating is cherished. Forever, our first date will be a memory in which we were considered a problem. Moreover, the only other customer present was also offended. I know this because he said he wouldn’t eat in an establishment that treats their customers this way, threw his napkin down, and left. Additionally, I realized that she called the police. That was a bit offensive, as well, because I am not an unreasonable person. This was an absolute failure and I hope this is the last time one of your guests ever leaves this establishment as dismally disappointed as we were.

It was late evening when our two adults and two kids arrived for dinner. Only about 6 other tables were in use. It took 25 minutes for a waitress to take our drink order. We placed our food order at the same time. 20 minutes later we got our drinks. The manager said she had 4 servers but only one cook. OK, so why the wait on drinks? 15 minutes later we got our food. Never once were our drinks refilled or even offered. We never received a single straw for our drinks even when asked for them. The table tops were sticky. The bathroom was clean but no paper towels. The blinds were dusty, only noticed because of the excessive time waiting I became super bored. Wish I could give less than one star. Do not eat here if you are on a schedule. Or if your afraid of germs.

The slowest Dennys I’ve ever visited. Came in Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was relatively empty, yet no one came over to our table to take our order or to bring any water to the table. After 10 minutes of watching servers walk past our table I decided to take my business elsewhere.

While the staff seems to try, it’s clear that Denny’s upper management values saving money by understaffing over customer service. 2 waitstaff were working the entire restaurant during the late service in a COLLEGE town. Very disappointing. Step it up Denny’s

This place is too dirty for me. The blinds are loaded with dust. The outside of the booths have stuff dripping down and they are sticky. This place needs to shut down for a day and the workers need to all pitch in and clean this joint up!

When an elderly couple came in the door, I observed the manager take the lady by the arm and walk them to a table! In addition, he greeted us and checked on us twice. This is all during their busy Sunday morning rush. Our waitress, Alicia, took very good care of us. Kept my sweet tea full which is pretty much all it takes to keep me happy. ;-) It is a given that Denny’s food is always good. Five stars.

We have been in this Dennys and the food is excellent. Could stand a little sprucing up, lightening up. Could use a good air freshner that has a food scent. it has a musty smell.

Arrived at 11:30am, left at 1:20. Restaurant only had about 6 other tables… not sure what the deal was but I could have made it home to Dallas in the time it took to eat here. When the food finally arrived after about 50 minutes after ordering we had to ask three times to get my nephew’s soup. It finally took another waitress to get it to us. Would NOT eat here again.

If I could give a negative star rating I would. Ordered our food and waited… and waited…20 minutes later asked how our food order was and the waitress asked the cook and he said«I don’t have any tickets»…so we got up and left. Other people were also waiting and no one had food… assume the same problem applied. You would have thought that someone would have checked on our order, the cook was walking back and forth and saw us sitting at table… Anyway, won’t be back… recommend going to IHOP next door. Much better service.

I will have to give up on going here any time other than the middle of the day. The service at this place is like Jekyll and Hyde, during the day it is just fine, but terrible at night. Went in around 3:30 am. I was the only customer. It was so cold in the restaurant that I was uncomfortable(I am a big guy and never cold), but was told that they could not adjust the temperature because it «had just been fixed». What?! I should have left then. The food was good, but all the staff disappeared after I received it. And I mean disappeared. Apparently, I was the only person in the building. Literally. There were five employees on duty when I came in– 2 servers, a busboy, a cook, and a manager– but by the time I had taken two bites of my food, they were no where to be found. I had planned on sitting for a while and working, but the cold and my empty drink made me decide to leave after twenty minutes. I could not find anyone to cash me out. I even yelled into the kitchen… no one. I was just about to leave what I thought would be enough money(I never received a check), when one of the servers came in from smoking outside. I was about to express how upset I was, when the manager and my server walked up discussing a stabbing that apparently happened in the parking lot earlier that night! I was angry, and I looked it. Yet no one even asked how my experience was. I figured if the manager was going to stand within five feet of me without wondering if everything was okay(especially with the look on my face), there was nothing I would be able to say about it that he would understand. There is bad service, there is neglectful service. Then there is leaving your only customer by themselves in a freezing restaurant for 15 minutes while you smoke.

Not the best dennys I have ever been to but it gets the job done. The décor is better than most. They remodeled not long ago but the service can be terrible. Lately its been bad. I frequent this dennys because I recently moved to huntsville. Breakfast only! That’s my dennys rule, could save your life.
