The flavor is pretty good at Dee Dee’s. I do like their jalapeño kolaches. However the one and only time I’ve been here the kolaches and donut holes were given to us either cold or just barely lukewarm despite us asking for them to be heated up. If I splurge on donuts/kolaches, I want nice hot and fresh ones. For instance if you order plain glazed donuts at Shipleys they’ll go to the back and grab some that are straight out of the fryer. I wouldn’t mind waiting a little bit for that! One other thing to note is that this place does have a drive thru. If you’re inside and you hear a loud doorbell, that’s what that is. I suppose it’s convenient if you can’t get out of the car for some reason. Overall it’s a decent place, how wrong can you go with donuts? We usually hit Dee Dee’s leaving Riverside after a long weekend so it’s really good on the go.
