I went there with family & friends on 2⁄19. Warmer weather meant a rather long line. After a 15 minute wait, we finally got to the window to order. There was just this one blonde teenager working. I ordered a cup of coffee chocolate chip ice cream; she handed me a cup of chocolate chip. I asked if it was coffee chocolate chip, and she acted offended that she had to start over on my order that SHE messed up.(Yes, our granddaughter had ordered a chocolate chip sugar cone just before me, but I clearly ordered a cup of COFFEE chocolate chip.) After giving me attitude, she went over to the freezers full of ice cream, only to return and tell me that they were out of coffee chocolate chip.(Really?) So I decided to try a Butterfinger Blast. Big mistake! It turned out to be softened vanilla ice cream with a sprinkle of crumbled Butterfinger on top. It clearly was not blended together as shown in the pictures. I expected something similar to a DQ Blizzard. Will go elsewhere next time. There are plenty of choices on the area, so Brusters needs to step it up.

This the best ice cream that I have ever eaten in my life and yes I’m older. We have eaten ice cream at a lot of creameries and not creameries and this blows them out of the water. This is a must stop every time we come to Huntsville. Which is about 1 time a month. I think it’s perfect in every way and well worth the price. We have never had any problems with slow service or them not being courteous to us. We like to try something new every time we visit. They are very nice about it.

We have gone here for years. Not often but a few times every summer. The last two times we’ve been, it had been just plain bad. The service is ridiculously slow and the ice cream isn’t as good as it used to be. When I say slow, from the time you get out of your car until you actually have ice cream in you hand, at least 30 minutes. That’s with just 2 or 3 people ahead of you in line. The young lady that severed us confirmed to me 3 different times that they do accept tips. All that’s said, the ice cream wasn’t very good.

I got a taste for some ice cream this weekend and decided to visit. I got the medium sized Sea Salt Caramel w/Toffee cup and my girlfriend got a small White Turtle cup. Both were delicious and we felt we got our money’s worth. The service was fast and friendly. I definitely will be back once more often now that it’s warming up.

The only complaint I have about Bruster’s is that I didn’t know what to get! All the flavors sounded so delicious I had such a hard time choosing. Ended up going with Chocolate Lover’s Trash and was not disappointed… but I want to go back and try the rest. My mouth is watering just thinking about it… Thumbs up for a drive-thru service, homemade ice cream AND cones, cake offerings, and a bunch of tables to enjoy.

Every time I go here, the service is TERRIBLE. The ice cream is too sweet(no, really). There are better places. So why do I go back? Last night, there were three people in the store. One was serving, the other two cleaning. OK, it was close to closing time(10 on Sunday night), but come ON — five minutes for the three people in front of us to get their ice cream? Don’t customers come first? Fortunately, they REALLY wanted to turn off the lights, so our stuff came a little more expeditiously. The sundaes tasted like candy. My M&M flurry-thing was supposed to taste like candy, but it was even sweeter than that. I had to go home and brush my teeth three times. I dunno. I’ll probably go back, because it’s on the way home from the movies. But I wish there was a Dairy Queen.

Awesome ice cream. A must visit if you are in the area. Recommendation: get your ice cream in a cup as it melts so quickly!

Bruster’s is the manufacturer of approximately half my childhood memories concerning ice cream. as the nearest one to my home in CO was in Enid, OK, it was a pretty great day when i got to get ice cream there. Upon discovering the Jones Valley location, you can safely assume that I geeked the heck out and dragged my friend there to convert her, which i did very successfully. So here’s the skinny: ice cream, contrary to what Cold Stone, Marble Slab, and Maggie Moo’s would tell you, DOESNOTHAVETOHAVEBUTTERFATCONTENTTHATGIVESYOU A HEARTATTACKBYTHINKINGABOUTIT. There, I said it. This ice cream is milky, and in my world that’s a beautiful thing. It’s smooth and silky with a really nice mouth feel that is simply saturated with whatever flavor you pick, and the flavor is what works the magic, not the heavy butterfat content that conjures«buttery» and«creamy.» In other words, this is how your grandparents made ice cream back when they had to use the old-fashioned bucket freezer, a ton of salt, and a hand-churn to make it. It’s a very simple, not too burdensome ice cream base with literally dozens of flavors to choose from, cone options galore, and they openly and proudly flaunt the art of the sundae. my personal favorite is the brownie sundae, but i have been known to indulge in a sugar cone with twix ice cream. that’s right, you read it just fine. screw you oreos and M&Ms, other candy bars are moving in on your turf and they taste GOOD! My friend had a fruity cheesecake flavor, and she agreed that the ice cream was light enough so that she really enjoyed the cheesy chunks and the contrast of textures and flavors. Like the other review notes, portions are huge, so go with your sweetie and split something… or bring a kid with a hollow leg and let them go run around for a few hours after. as for ambiance, this location is smaller than others and has a walk-up and a drive-thru, so you’re left on your own for finding a spot to stuff your face. the only time that’s tricky is in the heat of summer or in the dead of winter(unless you’re from CO or other cold places… i crave ice cream when it snows). SOPLEASE, do yourself a favor and take the time to go a little bit out of your way. Marvel at the menu. Order something amazing. Support a little old American-made business that holds on to a big piece of our past. And enjoy! Two five-star reviews are not going to set you wrong, right? Right.

Like ice cream? You’ve gotta check out Brewster’s. They’ve got benches and picnic tables outside for you to enjoy your goodies and a drive through if you’re on the run. There’s a ton of flavors to choose from. I’m partial to the Key Lime Pie, Coffee Oreo, and the Toffee Coffee. Portions are HUGE. I usually stick with a single sugar cone or a small sundae. If I’m hitting the drive through they make a tasty chocolate float. Kids under 42(?) inches get a free kiddie cone. Skip dinner on Thursdays and show up for B.Y.O.B.(Bring Your Own Banana) night. Bring your own Banana on a Thursday and you’ll get half off a banana split. Ask for a punch card — get 10 punches and you’ll get a free cone.
