Belle Chevre

Belle Chèvre is French for «beautiful goat.» This cheese I really tastes like it is made from a beautiful goat!
I’ve heard about this brand of cheese on the news. It is handmade in Elkmont, Alabama and has won many awards. When I first heard that this cheese shop was coming to downtown Huntsville, I was excited. I had their cheese only once before on a pizza from Mellow Mushroom. It is on the corner of Clinton and Jefferson, though their storefront and parking is on Jefferson.
The cheese shop has all of their spreadable cheeses on the counter for sampling. I loved everyone except for fig. My personal favorite was the honey because I love sweet foods. They have cheese for almost any purpose. Pimento cheese, cinnamon cheese, breakfast cheeses, marinated cheeses! They also have Belle Chèvre merchandise available for purchase. They even have Belle Chèvre cheesecake! I really recommend visiting this store if you are in the downtown area. Their prices are reasonable for the creamy quality of the goat cheese.
