My wife and I went for brunch on a Sunday. The good: service was very attentive. The bad: the food was«meh.» I got a waffle… super disappointing because clearly they just poured pancake batter into a waffle iron. You cannot do that if you want to serve waffles. It’s lazy as best… if I wanted pancakes, I’d get pancakes. My wife got a nutella/croissant french toast dish. Her comment? «Well, if you put Nutella on anything it tastes good.» Not a ringing endorsement. Hash browns were solid, though I think they may have been from frozen potatoes. Still, I enjoyed them. With all the options in Huntington for brunch… probably won’t go back.

My wife and I had tapas there tonight. They were 4 for 4 ! Flat bread pizette with pear, goat cheese, mozzarella and a balsamic drizzle was excellent. Steak rollatini stuffed with lobster and a garlic butter was melt in your mouth good. Mediterranean platter with crisp veggies, super crisp garlicky pita and 3 dips hit the spot. Meatballs with a super spicy cabbage were great. Ok. so I had 3 Innis &Gunn Scottish stouts to go with it all… a guy has to have a few good beers with dinner. No dessert, but only because the waiter didn’t ask. Place was not crowded but warm, friendly, and great piano music. I could actually talk and hear my wife without shouting.

This is now Blondee’s and a breakfast /lunch café. Cute place with well meaning staff. We were three gals meeting for a Saturday lunch. Bloody Mary had a metalllic tomato juice taste. One shared app of hummus and babaganoush, was ok. One salad, decent. One burger ordered medium, came well done, with not hot seasoned fries which were too bland. One omelette ordered soft and was also overlooked. It would be great if the food matched the great service. Probably will not return.

Now called BlonDee’s bistro, I thought I’d give this place a chance and was truly disappointed. Our server was very nice, but she was the only one for the entire restaurant when we came in. So naturally she couldn’t keep up with all the tables that were coming in. One thing i will say is they have a very large drink menu, and a few of them looked pretty tasty, It was about two in the afternoon when we ate here however so my group didnt try any. honestly everything on the menu sounded pretty amazing. I ordered the burger which sounded awesome and was so sad when it arrived. I had paid an extra dollar fifty each for avocado and a fried egg, I got one and a half slices of avocado, and my egg was ridiculously overcooked. Isn’t the point of the egg on the burger basically for the runny yolk as a condiment? The burger was well seasoned but also dry and overcooked, and a whole lot smaller than I would’ve imagined for what I was paying and the fries. Oh my god the fries were probably the worst fries I’ve ever had in a restaurant, dry, overcooked, and no flavor. My boyfriend got the Greek salad, which was ten dollars, had five ingredients, and the dressing was bad, my three other friends all got breakfast skillets and said everything was just ok. So moral if the story if you want an overpriced, just ok breakfast then definitely come here. But for lunch, I would just stay away.

This place has changed names to BlonDee’s. I admit I was never there when it was Two Blondes but all of the reviews appear to be before the name change. I have been here twice and really enjoyed it both times. The first time was in the early afternoon so it was a more breakfast/lunch menu. I got the burger with gruyère and avocado and it was very good. It came on a brioche roll and was cooked perfectly. Only issue was the roll was a bit big for the burger. About half wat trough I tore the top part of the bun in half and ate the rest, the ratio seemed a bit better at that point. My wife had the French toast with pumpkin and a sweetened Mascarpone cream drizzle with cinnamon and sugar. Claims it was the best French toast she ever had. Second time was dinner and they have a small plate menu as well as several entrees. I had the duck tacos and cheese plate, both were very good. My wife had the lamb chops which she really enjoyed and my son had the steak stuffed with lobster. All of the food we had was very good. Again, I have no idea what the place was like before it changed or how different, if at all, the menu is, but the food and service we thought was very good. I hope people will give it a shot, especially those who did not like it before to see if it had improved in their eyes since the change over.

This was my second time here, it was make or break. The first time I was impressed by the creativity of the menu items(amaretto cookie crusted french toast with peach sauce). I enjoyed the food. The service was quite bad, and my cappuccino was definitely not a proper cappuccino. BUT, I didn’t want to write it off just yet. Despite all the bad reviews on Unilocal,I decided to come back for breakfast again. Everybody loved it. The server was good(and cute), and what seemed to be a hard worker as well. I ordered the steak and eggs which came with a Gorgonzola cream sauce – Amazing. Absolutely delicious! Ok I was happy again, and all the guests I was with loved the place too. I would give it another star for egg-ceptional service and better cappuccinos. PS– A woman(owner?) greeted us both times and was very attentive.

Just in town for the day, and my friend took me here for breakfast. It’s a really cute place, and our waitress Kadija was so talkative and energetic, I really wanted to like this place, but the food just wasn’t very good. For the skillets, she recommended the Giambotta, which sounded great — eggs, potatoes, zucchini, red pepper and onion, but the potatoes tasted like the frozen, cubed variety, and the entire dish was really pretty bland. My friend got the Hash, and I tried a bite, and it was a little better. Very cute, but the food was just blah to me.

I just returned from Two Blondes and a Stove… like so many other reviewers I really wanted to like tit, it’s local and very pretty. This was a Friday morning. I went by myself and there was one other table occupied. The waitstaff seem uninterested in either serving or delivering food. They gossiped at the counter and when I wanted something I just called for it. Finally, I got tired of waiting for the bill and went to the counter to pay. I might as well gone into the kitchen and cooked my own food. This was my third visit and sorry to say, my last. What a shame.

I’m local and was glad to see another place to dine al fresco at lunch time, however, I have to say the experience was disappointing. Walked by and sat outside with my wife. We each had a salad that was bland and unexciting. The service was slow, although polite. We were not given set ups and I had to walk inside to get silverware after asking once when our food arrived(the waiter was busy and forgot). You get one chance to make a good impression. Granted, this was during the Fall Festival, so they may have been short staffed, but not a good first experience.

It’s sad I have to give 2 stars because I REALLY wanted to like this place. I saw the menu online and it looked so yummy. Went there with the hubby last Sunday. It was not busy by any means, and the customers in the restaurant were not being loud on purpose, just the acoustics of the place make it almost unbearable. I still had pretty high hopes because it was so cute inside and again, the menu looked divine! We ordered the Zsa Zsa Omelet(chorizo, peppers, cheese, etc.) and the Dolly french toast which claimed to be a bourbon sauce with pecans whipped cream and strawberries. My husband said the omelet was dry and lacked any real flavor. My french toast was almost laughable… The«bourbon» sauce was a bland maple syrup tasting sauce and the whipped cream and strawberries was a small dollop of whipped cream(we are talking maybe a tablespoon and a half) and one half of a strawberry cut it half and laid upon the whipped cream… BUMMER. Also, the french toast was your basic white bread. Sorry to say, I would rather go to Munday’s and have your basic diner menu food, because at least there, I am not getting charged $ 10 for french toast.

As I think about writing this review, I’m having guilt already. I really really want to like this restaurant. It’s cute, it’s local and the service is great. The fact of the matter is however that my meal was subpar at best. I dined here with my wife and daughter on a Sunday morning — we ordered an omelette, the harbor hash and pancakes for my daughter. There was one common theme amongst the food items — they were all bland. The best thing about my hash was the italian bread that was served with it — I’m not sure where they get their bread from, but it’s dynamite. The hash on the other hand was composed of shredded bits of corned beef(which had the consistency of a toothpick), over done potatoes and a couple of sunny side up eggs. While the eggs were nicely prepared, the lack of seasoning and over doneness of the other parts of the dish made it disappointing. On a positive note, they are very child friendly, the service really was top notch and it is very cute. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day. It’s definitely not inexpensive here though — these three dishes cost north of $ 40 with gratuity — pretty expensive for some eggs and pancakes. In my estimation, too high for what I was served.

First off, these negative reviews are totally bogus! This place oozes comfort and quality. I am a chef and I am picky about service and quality-this place rates top notch. Huntington is a great town w/so few GOOD lunch places(esp ones w/healthy options) AND to be able to sit outside to boot?! Doesn’t get better. I take my kids for breakfast, meet my girlfriends for lunch. Ive been several times and it never disappoints. The croissant pb nutella French toast is amaaaazing, my kids ask for them every weekend and the Thai lettuce wraps are a perfect lunch special! The owner is personable and always present-stayig on top of her staff and making sure customers are taken care of as they should be! This place is a winner, hands down, an absolute GEM of an addition to Huntington Village

My husband and I took our friend and her daughter here today. We all had checked out the menu and were really excited to try it out. The service was way too slow. I think there was only one waitress working. It took FOREVER for her to even come take our drink order, let alone take the rest of our order and bring us our food. Our friend has a nut allergy and asked if the Italian Pancakes had nuts in the them. The waitress didn’t know the answer and then disappeared for 10 minutes before returning and telling us that they did not. I ordered the Pesca Frenchie — Challah French toast encrusted with amaretto cookie crumbs topped with sweetened Mascarpone cream and roasted peach syrup. My husband ordered The Dolly Frenchie — Texas French toast topped with homemade Bourbon pecan pie topping, whipped cream and fresh strawberries. My husband’s french toast was just white bread french toast with syrup and pecans on it. We couldn’t taste the bourbon and didn’t see why it was called Texas and there was no mascarpone cream. My husband’s order and our friend’s daughter’s order came out first and it was a good 5 min before my friend’s order came out. It wasn’t until AFTER thye brought out the other orders that someone told me that they ran out of peach syrup and did I want anything else. I told them I’d forego the peach syrup and in it’s place put nutella and bananas on the amaretto cookie crumbs topped French toast with sweetened Mascarpone cream. After everyone in my party was done with their breakfast, they finally brought my new order out. What I got was dried out challah bread with cinnamon sugar on the outside, no amaretto anything, schmeared with nutella and two slices of bananas. I was not happy. The owner saw my displeasure and offered to bring me something else. I ordered the The Sara Jessica Pancakes — homemade buttermilk pancake with roasted apple pie filling. What I finally got after another 10 minutes of waiting was dried out pancakes with applesauce on top. In addition, if one wants forks or syrup — good luck — as it took us asking 3 times for syrup and twice for forks. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back here and don’t recommend that ANYONE try it out.

Went to 2 B’s with much anticipation as I have passed it while flying around the traffic circle right in front.(which by the way is not a people watching spot unless u want to watch distracted drivers and hope they don’t ruin your meal or worse). Onto the food and service: the staff is very focused on chatting with the customers while you might be waiting for a table or want some water. It took us 10 minutes before we were welcomed by a waiter and we watched the owner flit around from table to table checking in with her guests. We were first time visitors so we apparently didn’t rate a check in. The food was uninspired with small portions and not worth the 30 minute wait from the time we ordered. Their timing is very off as we saw that they consistently bring food to the tables in stages as in one person gets their food and then 5 or 10 minutes later the other person and then another 5 minutes later a side order may appear. Our table 3 of us got food while the 4th waited another 5 minutes or so. My husband had an omelet that had exactly 6 little pieces of sausage and about 8 pieces of chopped tomato. Go to Mundays or any good diner and you would feel more satisfied and not ripped off. My «Italian tuna» was a well salted ½ can of bumble bee chunk lite. As my husband likes to say when he hates a local place: I’m putting the kabash on this place. It’s usually gone in 6 months after that.

Poor quality of food and lousy service. Hit Toast instead. The omelette was small and awful. Their«home fries» are just potatoes they get frozen in a bag.

Restaurants come and go in Huntington… but if Two Blonds keeps up the level of service and quality of food as their inception, this will become an H-Town staple for breakfast and lunch. This is one of the few places that offers a diverse menu… keeping the clean eating foodies as happy as the indulgent foodies. Ingredients are so fresh — I had the egg white omelette with turkey(real turkey pieces, not processed or deli) and spinach(fresh, not overly wilted) and I wondered if they even used any butter to cook it! No greasy omelettes here! The pancakes were so fluffy and light with a just a touch of sweetness in the form of a strawberry/lemon jam and a dollop of mascarapone cream on the side. Fantastic. The coffee is hot, fresh and delicious and just the antidote for an early AM jolt. The restaurant itself is bright and inviting with touches of Southern sweetness. The service was perfect… not at all intrusive as some places can be but your coffee mug, mysteriously, never goes empty. Two Blonds has the potential to quickly become my go-to spot for breakfast, lunch, or brunch!
