I stopped into this Mobil while in Huntington the other day because I had a Mobil gift card. If I had seen the Citgo or Getty one block north I would have skipped this Mobil after seeing the prices.
Having left from Queens the same morning with gas prices self: 3:07 and full 3:17, I was shocked to see this full service only Mobil with prices of 3.33.
I needed gas and had the gift card so I just pulled in. 3 mafioso looking Russians walk up to the car and ask what grade. I said regular and gave him the card. One guy LIGHTS up a cigar right next to the guy pumping the gas. Because that’s not a fire hazard, and I don’t mind being blown, up, I don’t say anything. Then the third guy just stares at me. After spending about fifty five dollars in gas I do not tip the guy and he puts his hand in the window and says «where my tip?» I said no tip, very expensive. Before he could choke me to death I rolled up the window and left.
As I left to head toward Huntington Village, I noticed a Getty with gas for 3.16. I don’t understand how this place stays in business.
