Beautiful indoor space. The reviews are spot on! This place feels more like a spa child & parent oasis than an indoor play space. LOVEIT! Highly recommend on any cold day, rainy day, hot day… Actually, pretty fun just about ANY day!

It’s an intimate space that allows for imaginative play. It’s a fantastic alternative to the loud music, gym type playspaces.

As a mother and a former pre-k teacher, I wish there were more places like the Sandbox. A really nice alternative to the loud, germ infested bouncy-house type places that seem to flood Long Island. The owners obviously wanted to create a clean, calming play space where young kids(geared towards the 5 and under crowd) can use their imagination and learn through constructive play. My daughters were kept busy with even the simplest of toys there. Would definitely recommend it as a healthy and fun environment for today’s over-stimulated children.

Love the Sandbox Playspace, surprised it’s not already on Unilocal. It’s a friendly, inviting, no-judgement space for little kids to play, with plenty of high-quality toys. The toys are thoughtfully chosen, many of them unpainted wood. Many play spaces that I have been to have loud garish colors, with gym equipment and ball pits, which make you wonder about the last time they were cleaned. Sandbox is the opposite — a calm, nurturing space, where calm kids can enjoy themselves(with padding so that the energetic kids can have fun, too). Adults are free, and child admission is inexpensive. Multi-packs are available, as is membership. On a rainy day, it’s a go-to place if you have small kids. They have classes and events — check out their web site for details. Just note that the only parking is on the street, and only on one side of Gibson, which is typical of Huntington Village. If you live on the north(east?) side of Gibson near Sandbox, I feel for you. If you can’t find parking, you may want to park on Lake Place instead. Oh, and it’s close to Southdown Coffee, which is my most recent obsession.
