we rented a car and drove from brooklyn to go to walking co and red wing shoes. both stores screwed me on orthotics. walking company sold me a half size to small and didnt admit it until an email where they lied and said i didnt want the correct size in the store when i was there… lies!!! npw i have mailed them back but they wont mail the correct item until they get the wrong one they sold me back. bad customer service

Last week we drove 25 miles to Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station to shop at The Walking Company for clogs. Went there specifically to take advantage of the specialized accurate sizing they brag about. Maybe I’d get a pair of shoes that finally fit? They also claim to carry a wide range of brands geared to service people who must be on their feet.
What a disappointment. Nothing more than a very expensive Foot Locker. Not worth the trip. Limited stock. Very few brands. Extremely bored clerks. The ‘special accurate sizing’ is a fancy schmancy digital scale and an old-​fashioned sizing tool. When they didn’t have what I needed they pointed to their computer saying they could place an order for home delivery. Did I say extremely bored clerks? I was really hoping to find a new style and needed to try them on before buying.
Forget it! My Zappo’s order of my known reliable style arrived two days later. And people wonder why brick and mortar stores are dying.
