Cinque Terre Ristorante Italiano

Last Sunday, February 21^st, was the first time that we went to Cinque Terre. We had a reservation for seven adults to celebrate three birthdays. WOW, what a surprise! Erin, our wait server and Anthony, the bartender greeted us at the door. They were charming and hospitable without overdoing it. The bar was fully stocked with every liquor we ordered, which isn’t always the case in most restaurants. Our family has many excellent cooks, including myself. We ordered a variety of dishes and each of us thought ours was the best. This restaurant is a culinary gem. I can’t wait to go back.

This place is special! After visiting cinque terre in Italy I was in search of something on Long Island and stumbled across this place on Unilocal.We stopped here for lunch on a Monday. The dining room is beautiful. Spotlessly clean too! When we arrived the host was super nice and let me look at the lunch menu. My husband and I were seated aNd immediately given water. There was a nice specials menu to choose from too. Our waiter was consistently excellent the entire meal. We ordered cocktails (hey don’t judge, we took the day off!) and then decided to share the meat platter, a salad and pasta. The meat platter was a great value-​salami, prosciutto, (it was sweet, not salty or fatty-​delectable) three different cheeses, olives, roasted peppers; it was all spectacular-​Especially the cured meats. The salad was fresh and cold! Finally the paparadalle-​it was so delicate and so delicious. Also-​the chef split everything for us which was a wonderful surprise! The waiter offered us cappuccino/​espresso and we ordered-​both were phenomenal and served with some fantastically baked biscotti. Crispy and just the right amount of sweet. It was an outstanding meal with beautiful music playing, incredible service and food that brought us back to magical cinque terre. Five stars for the romantic atmosphere, magnificent meal, great service and overall experience. Finally-​the cherry on top was the owner (anthony) came out to thank us for visiting!

Being a fan of Verona Restaurant, we were looking forward to trying this restaurant.
Inside there are several Rooms, Kinda like a small wedding hall. The big chandeliers and the high hat lights made for a very bright dining room. And the lack of any music made for an awkward setting. Room had bad acoustics, so you could hear everyones conversation, kinda loud, even with no music. The prices also were fairly high, Manhattan prices…
House Vodka and Soda $ 11, Stoli O, $ 12…
Stuffed Veal Chop at $ 42, was good but they could have put a little more love int the plating, rough cut carrots and broccoli (catering hall look).
We didn’t mind waiting for food, almost an hour for apps, but our neighboring table waited
1 ½ hrs for apps, and then the entrees came out right after.
The combination of all would not bring us back.

Love this beautiful restaurant! It definitely deserves 5 stars! Anthony is just amazing… he just makes you feel so comfortable and invited. I enjoyed an evening with friends here tonight and am looking very forward to celebrating my granddaughters first birthday here as well. It was the first restaurant my daughter and I visited and we just fell in love!

This restaurant is a must! Fresh, homemade pasta are delicious. The restaurant is beautiful, but not pretentious or trendy. The bartender will make you feel like you are at home, so enjoy A cocktail or glass of wine at the bar before sitting down for dinner. I had the whole Bronzino, and ate every morsel.

I went here on Saturday night for my husband’s birthday and it was a wonderful evening. The place is extremely elegant (but not stuffy at all), and looks exquisite for the holidays. Our waiter was great as was the service all around, and the food is terrific. The place was not as crowded as it should have been for a Saturday night, and it definitely warrants the attention. It’s not ‘a scene’ and I fear that may be why Long Islanders are not flocking — but they should. Cinque Terre takes you back to a proper dining experience but with moderate prices and makes for a memorable evening. They also gave us complimentary after dinner drinks and a dessert. Many places lack in that department of customer appreciateion but this place really values their customers and it shows throughout the entire experience. Please try it just once and I guarantee you’ll want to go back.

We had our engagement party here and it was amazing. The food was fabulous and so was the service. They worked with us on pricing and did not try to take advantage (I was a chef in another life… lol…I know when that happens.) The space was very elegant and my guests raved. We liked them so much that when my bridal shower came up we decided to have them cater it because… why risk a new place when we know this place is great. Typically, I think catered food doesn’t hold up but they did a great job! I would definitely suggest them, they take pride in their work, it comes through.

Before we went I read the reviews here. They were either 5 stars or 1. To me that us a caution but it was a special occasion and everyone wanted to try it. I won’t be back.
The dining room was dimly lit by several chandeliers high to the ceiling and did not have a comfortable feeling. There were other rooms empty. As we walked in I wondered why the parking lot was empty. It filled up a little as the night went on but never got to 50%. Strange for a Saturday night. If you go an extra 10 minutes to Huntington village you can’t have dinner without reservations until 10.
I had the tripe appetizer and it was cooked correctly but the sauce was canned Hunts or Del Monte tomato sauce. I’m an amateur cook so I saw that right away. Or if I’m wrong, it tasted that way, look and consistency. All the others had salads and they were all chopped, a surprise.
My entrée was the risotto and it was tasty but it wasn’t made with arborio rice. Again, if I’m incorrect, that’s the way it looked and chewed. The others had veal and they loved it.
Unusual for me to have dessert but I tried the gelato, vanilla. It was clearly Breyers. No question. The others commented their coffee was cold, mine wasn’t cold, I had espresso but it was too thin for me with a half inch of lemon peel.
Everyone was very polite and helpful but overly so, trying very hard to please. It took 20 minutes to get the check after asking various people a few times. They knew something was wrong with the tried and true offer of a cordial to occupy our time but we refused and the waitress was surprised. I noticed others around us having them so it wasn’t just us.
On Long Island there are many great restaurants. There’s no reason to spend big and get medium.

So I have been here 5 times already. Two times for birthday dinners, two times for dinner with my sister and once for my Parents 50^th anniversary party. The food here is amazing, outdone only by the staff and the phenomenal service they provide. From the owner to the busboys, everyone is professional yet friendly. Very rarely do I heed the recommendations of a waiter, but George will never steer you wrong. Cannot wait to go back!

Cinque Terre, translated means ‘Five Lands’ named after the five fishing villages located on the north west portion of the coast Italy along the Italian Riviera.
Diners are greeted warmly at the door, and service throughout your meal is exceptional. If you listen carefully you can hear Italian banter between the waitstaff which makes the food taste extra special.
From fish to pasta, salad and dessert– everything is very good. Entrees are served with a well stocked bread basket, important to the company I dine with.
The food is made with love. The portions are generous but not overdone and the ingredients are very fresh. In addition to a well curated menu, the kitchen will make any traditional Italian American dish you request. Love this type of attention and therefore I am giving this restaurant a well deserved 5 stars.
This is just one of those all around great restaurants to bring your entire family, have a catered event or a quiet romantic dinner.

was here for a rehearsal dinner, terrific service from everyone, but our waitress Erin was really outstanding!

The food was outstanding. The service was first class. Everything was first class. I ate the best Eggplant Rollotini I have ever eatin. My wife ate Veal Marsala that she loved. I recommend this resturant to all.

First discovered this place from the Unilocal Cocktail event. It was a great location for a huge event, and was impressed by the multiple rooms and beautiful elegant décor. When we met the owner, he told us about Ladies Night on Wednesdays so we decided to go back this week! (That’s the point of these events right? Find out about new places… Unilocal you accomplished your mission!).
The owner greeted us at the door, very friendly and was happy to see we came back. From 4(?)-8pm at the bar, Ladies Night = half off drinks, and free plate of food samples (Hellllzz yes… they knew the way to my heart thus why I came back). There were 3 of us, so we each had a sample of lasagna, meatball, and the rice ball. Delicious!!! Great little snack to go with our drinks (2 for 1 bay breezes… came out to be about 10 $ for both). General meal prices seemed on the pricey side, so we just had drinks here. For a small crowd at a classy bar, I thought when the DJ music started around 7pm it didn’t really fit the scene (would have been better maybe a little later). However, I don’t mind upbeat music so didn’t bother me. Hopefully will be back soon, and I hope more people find out about this location! Worth checking out.
**Edit — I forgot to add, that this area has terrible service /​no Wifi. Not sure if that’s Verizon’s fault and people have better luck with a different phone. But my texts, Unilocal check-​in etc didn’t go through while I was here.

We just returned from a delicious meal at Cinque Terre. This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. The wait staff was attentive. The food was wonderful. I ordered the cold antipasto for some meats and cheeses. I also had a salad, in which the apples were prepared deliciously. The pappardelle bolognese is something I will order again.
There were good options on the menu, but I have dietary constraints and would like a few other tame options. I believe the chef would accommodate a request, but I try not to do that. All in all, I definitely plan to return with friends who can explore the full menu in ways I cannot. I think they will like it too.

Everything there is amazing, Torres is the guy who sings Friday nights, what a voice he has… This place is soo beautiful, there is no reason not to go there… LOVE IT…

Beautiful restaurant with a mouthwatering menu and comprehensive wine list. There are five large dining rooms (like the five towns in Italy that the restaurant is named after) one of which has a ballroom. It’s the perfect place to host a private party, or to gather with girlfriends in the lounge and take advantage of the live guitar music on Saturday nights. I recommend the lobster ravioli!

Had one of the best italian meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was incredibly personal and quick. Great atmosphere, and even better portions! Would definitely recommend it to anyone. This place is a gem and I’m surprised more people don’t know about it.
