I gave a three star because of the very little variety of food/pastries. Most were muffins and absolutely nothing savory. With a name like«Mi Tierra,» I thought they’d at least have like mini conchitas or churros or mexican/latin american cookies. Not the place to come if you’re hungry for food. As for the place itself, its nice and ample. I think they have the right idea, they just need to expand their variety…

I really don’t like giving 5 stars but this place never disappoints I go to this place at least once a week. Cubanito con leche is simply the best drink they have. Caramel frap with an add shot is great as well. I wish they open one up in downtown Downey soon

The best Frappés around if your tired of Starbucks try this place Horchata and the Mexican Chocolate ones are the best. Every time I come back to LA this is one of my first stops.

Good coffee, but very sweet. Similar to Starbucks but with a Hispanic kick. I enjoyed my drink

Waaay over priced. Ordered 2 soy lattes and it came out to $ 11.50. That’s more than Starbucks. What a rip off. For sure nerve coming back to this place.

Amazing coffee and amazing service. The location is very narrow, like most places at pacific. The café is open late which is nice. The balcony in the front was genius. Intact, I hope more restaurants here start doing this. Pastries were nearly empty, so I had to drive down to Monarca. The only thing I didn’t like is that for the amount of traffic this place gets coming in through the door, they are the worst when it comes to aesthetics. The floors are muddy(and it’s not even raining out), the door is real dusty and peoples rappers & receipts are everywhere. Nice staff over all. Very helpful and I love it that even though they’re clearly fluent in English, they still are willing to speak in Spanish.

Great drinks but the service sucks. They hire kids who have no sense of urgency. There’s traffic and no one moves quick enough to take care of the customers. They should have a floater so everyone stays in there stations. Ex employee of a coffee shop by the way lol

This place was not meant for true coffee lovers. If you want unique coffee drinks, it’s great, but if you want a regular cup of coffee, good luck. I wanted a basic café au lait, misto, coffee with steamed milk. They asked whether I meant a latte or an Americano. I said no, regular brewed coffee with steamed milk. After three girls came to the register, one girl took my payment. She gave me an Americano with steamed milk on the side. And it was steamed half and half. I honestly love the idea behind this place, but they need to get it together with basic drinks.

First time I can honestly say it’s much better than Starbucks. I would be coming back a lot. The mocha frappé is really good

Ice vanilla latte is delicious. The horchata latte gets alot of hype but I perfer the vanilla latte. It taste similar to the horchata but not as sweet.

It’s a beautiful day in Vernon, actually in LA, and I needed breakfast. Counselor would probably kill me for even thinking that a strawberry cheese Danish is considered breakfast, but I took a shot at it. So a co worker and I went in and had no clue what they offer. The girl in the front was very sweet. I was REALLLLY hoping that they make breakfast, like a croissant with eggs or something! But nope… Just pastries(which I love but I’m really trying to stay away from… Bleh!). So I got a Horchata Latte, which has an awesome yummy cinnamon taste to it, and a strawberry cheese Danish. The Danish was warmed up and seriously tasted really good! The staff was really helpful with choosing a drink that would be to my liking. They totally had a service with a smile. This coffee shop might be a little hole in the wall compared to big corporate shops but they have some cool drinks that make them unique. They have really nice employees that are patient and helpful. They make your drinks quickly and they have tasty pastries. The only reason I give them four stars vs five is cause the price on some of the pastries are way up there compared to competitors. Otherwise it’s cool spot to go check out!

The drinks are delicious and unique. Quaint space in HP. With lots of room to lounge around. Customer service could be better. The hostess who helped me out appeared to be in a funk as she explained the differences between a frappé and an ice blended drink. Also, WIFI would be a great addition to this venue.

This place is definitely better than Starbucks. Extremely delicious. The employees are always helpful. I highly recommend trying the Chocolate Mexicano Frappé. It contains Abuelita chocolate… I mean c’mon! Abuelita chocolate and coffee? Enough said!

I love their drinks I always get either rice and beans or horchata frappé… I have no problem with the products… but the employees… sheesh. Like when you drink coffee with friends you expect to have a good time. I go every Thursday with family and we got kicked because we were having too much fun… none of the customers complained. The employee just didn’t like us. We had to start going to a different location because it went down the drain once they changed the employees. This location in particular, in Huntington Park. Banned. Tierra mia is not banned. It’s too good.

Pros: Fast service can’t say their were friendly but they weren’t rude either. Anyway got my drink and taste perfect! Lots of space to sit you can choose couches or tables and chairs inside or outdoor in the shade. Great atmosphere large open space plays Spanish music while you enjoy your drink. Not overcrowded which I’m sure might not be great for business but for me I’m happy i can enjoy my drink in peace and not with all these people on their laptops and phones using the free wifi like at Starbucks. Happy this place hasn’t went all crazy popular yet Cons: once you walk inside you forget where you are but step outside and your back in the hood. HP not as bad in the day as at night but they put a really nice touch to this location inside and out. The other thing I would recommend is having the employees behind the counter have a little more personality and upbeat attitude it’s not that they were somber just felt like when ordering I was rushed and she didn’t seem interested in smiling or assisting me. This is the second location I’ve been too where the cashier seems uninterested in her job but oh well I love the drink

After my roommate told me about this place, I knew I had to come. Horchata is just about my favorite drink in the universe and to hear that it comes in a latte, frappé, or pastry form? I’m sold!!! Parking wasn’t that hard to find but I came during a weekday at like 1PM. It’s a quaint little area with lots of tables. I got the Horchata frappé and resisted to get one of the pastries because I knew I was getting lunch later. The drink was made really quickly and it was amazing! The horchata flavor is so prominent with a good balance of coffee. And it was blended so well! So smooth with no chunks of ice unlike Starbucks lol. They have so many other options that I would love to try! I wish there was a location closer to where I live/go to school but I would not mind driving to Huntington Park just to get this!

Their horchata frappé makes it worth the drive! I love their Mexican inspired drinks and pastries. If you order your hot lattes for in house, they make a beautiful design with the foam. Not cheap, though, expect about the same if not more than Starbucks prices. Very clean and with good outdoor seating with shade right on the Main Street of Huntington park.

I LOVE their cuban coffee, it has the right amount of caffeine i need in my life. The drive-thru gets very redonkulous at times so, if you have time to kill, please do wait in that 20 min. line. I still have yet to come study here to check out the place, it’s on my to do list. But the coffees are ok for me, I’ve tried their horchata frappé, lattes and what not and I just think it’s ok. I don’t understand why people hype the horchata drinks so much. They do carry a few items from Portos bakery here, so you can easily kill 2 birds w/one stone and get a few items from there as well.

Holy Moly Batman!!! Tierra Mia is my new coffee spot, move over Starbucks, you have nothing on Tierra Mia. The best Mexican chocolate coffee everrrrrr… The whole experience was very nostalgic for me, as I was drinking the coffee I was back in my grandmas kitchen and seeing her making me Mexican hot chocolate while having the Mexican music blasting in the background– the best childhood memories a gal can have! So, of course I’ve had this place bookmarked for a minute, my sister was the one who took her here since she had gone about 5 times that week, lol. She ordered the hot Mexican Mocha coffee, it’s made with Abuelita chocolate and coffee, the best! I opted for the Cubano since I wanted something with more coffee, let me tell you I was on one after that, a total caffeine high! We also shared the chocolate croissant, that was just a pillow of heavenly clouds in my mouth. The girls at the coffee shop were super helpful and super nice, I asked questions since I was a newbie, and they were very patient with me. One of the girls over heard our convo and chimed in on the chocolate that they use, I told her how it reminded me of my grandmother, and she was so sweet to let me know how they made their drinks. They have an horchata coffee and a rice and beans(horchata and coffee beans) coffee that I want to try.

I tried Tierra mia for the first time and let’s just say I found my new favorite coffee spot. Love at first sip … Love at first bite \(‘-’)/ Starbucks will always have a place in my heart, but it was about time to venture off to bigger and better things. Fraps, Fraps and more Fraps — Horchata — Chocolate Mexicano — Rice and Beans — Coco Loco — Café Corazon — Caramelo — Mocha The ice blended drinks sounded just as good as the Fraps — Coconut cream — Horchata cream — Mango — Strawberries & cream — Chocolate — Vanilla Fraps and ice blended drinks prices — $ 3.75 Small — $ 4.50 Medium — $ 4.95 Large I’m Asian so Obviously I Love me some rice. Horchata is made from rice water so I went with ordering a Horchata Frap. It was so DELICIOUS! I Loved it! Love. Love. Love. Being the fatty that I am, I added the tres leches muffin, which was just as AMAZING. It was so creamy and sweet. Just how I like it. Both the Frap and muffin were made to perfection. I Love trying new things and both were so different from anything I had ever had before. I’m so glad I discovered Tierra Mia. I have definitely been missing out. I can’t wait to go back and try the different items on the menu. Hopefully one of these days they open a location in Orange County.
