every morning the same guys who give fictional tickets as funding the local courts need your funds, and the goons celebrate and eat here . with there white bikes . during morning commute they lay in wait around your local bushes and sit next to u while they eat here. so i dont anymore. they are out of control . the food and service is great. i missit there.

Service is not great that is one of the main problem, doesn’t matter where you sit, bar or dining room they forget you! They never come back to see if you need anything no refills nothing, you have top flag someone down! Food not bad! I was here a couple of weeks ago server played with a dog on the patio and then wanted to take our order never washing her hands that was soo gross, we asked for another server, I thought they had to follow health laws!!!

Compared to the bigger chain diner style restaurants I definitely prefer Woodys. Always very consistently good service. All the typical diner fare food choices. Good quality. Something for everyone. They serve breakfast all day which is usually how I end up here, wanting a late day breakfast. This location is newer, larger and more open than the others I have been to.

This has been my go-to diner in HB since it opened. The menu is large, and the food quality is consistently high. The service is pretty good, overall, but the restaurant is a little dirty in some areas. Prices are good, though, and I think it’s worth the trip for any meal. Breakfast is especially good.

The Food is really good, but the service last night was ridiculous!!! The waitresses were very kind & supportive of the poor management of the«fill in» manager. We had a party of 12 to celebrate my son’s birthday. The manager last night said, Taco Tuesday is only available in the bar area– Understandable. It was 7pm, the bar was packed full & barely anyone was sitting in the restaurant area. We continually asked the manager if she could make an exception ONLY because there was no where to sit everyone in the bar. INSTEAD she made us wait ANHOUR to seat us in the patio when it finally cleared!!! IF we knew it would have taken that long, we would have eaten some where more accommodating for a party of 12. It’s not that we were asking for the impossible!!! With proper management, we had eaten there several weeks ago for Taco Tuesday. We had a party of 4& we were KINDLY seated in a booth next to the bar because the bar was packed full. WARNING: If you have a large party, call ahead to make sure you do not have a manager that needs lessons in customer service!!!

A friend and I stopped in for lunch today and were both impressed by the Woody’s team and experience. Neither of us had ever dined here or at any of their other outlets. We were seated prompltly by a nice young lady who also was ready to take our beverage orders as soon as we were seated. The menu is quite large, with at least three pages devoted to breakfast items. They also have a sizable sandwich menu, lots of other items, and many burger choices. My friend ordered the turkey club with the beer batter thin fries, and I had an avacado bacon burger with their onion rings. The service team was friendly and attentive, kudos to the managers for hiring, training and keeping this team. They are pleasant and efficient, clearly dedicated to ensuring patrons are served well. Food was delicious, quality of the food elements of the sandwiches was high, my friend said it was the best turkey club sandwich he’d ever had, and I’d give my burger a definite A. We meet a couple times a month for a working lunch, and our Woody’s experience today has now convinced us that this is our new luncheon meeting place. Good job, guys!

This is a four-star establishment, I had a bad experience here yesterday and had to drop the rating to three-stars, but you should come in here whenever you can — great place. I’ve been in here a few times now. The food is always good, the service is great. The menu isn’t anything fancy, it’s a Woody’s, but somehow the food is just perfect. I like to come in here after a movie or a game and get some fries and a shake. And yes, of course they serve milkshakes proper style, with the metal mixer container on the side, the same way America has been serving shakes for probably 100 years now — it’s romantic, I love it. They also totally nail the fries every time… the perfect thickness and length, cooked for just the right length of time, not too much salt, not too little — make sure you get some fries while you’re here. — However — it would be okay with me if Sara H. were let go, what a rude little person! It went down like this(1.15.16): At the bar, out of ten available seats, only two of them are occupied with patrons, the restaurant is not busy, the staff is not busy. me:(saddles up to an open seat at the bar) Sara:(clears some bottles from the bar) Can I get you a drink? me: No thanks, I’m just gonna get a milkshake. Sara: Okay, any food with that? me:(as the menu is flipped through) Uhh… no, just a milkshake. Sara:(pauses for a moment) Oh, okay, well that’s okay too. [WTF? What does that mean? I know it’s okay to order a milkshake, why wouldn’t it be?] Ten minutes pass. I have to ask Sara if she put the order in. She goes around the corner and produces an already finished chocolate milkshake. If the place were busy I wouldn’t have minded, but when the restaurant is empty, I shouldn’t have to remind the server to get the order. The milkshake is a work of art, it is fantastic, I wept a little. Sara:(as she sets down the shake) Can I get you some food now? me: No, just the shake. I work on my milkshake for a few minutes. The universe ceases to exist. I am the milkshake. I understand now why it brings all the boys to the yard. Sara comes back a few minutes later and stands in front of me… Sara:(in a passive-aggressive tone) Are you sure you’re not hungry? me:(handing Sara my card) No, close me out. All humor aside, and forgetting the zen of the shake, this is terrible service, and is not okay. Woody’s management, address this with your server.

We were in a hurry on a Friday night. They got us seated right away, the server was right there to get our order. We told her of our rush and she suggested items that would come out of the kitchen quickly. Sure enough, we got our food fast, and it was delicious! Highly recommended!

So I came here with my family for a play date and it was my first time at this location. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the super friendly staff, since I was there with 6 children it was a little chaotic but the server was so patient and nice. When it comes to the food, I had the sampler plate appetizer which was actually a pretty healthy portion of food and it was so good that not a crumb was left. For the entrée, I’m an old fashioned guy and just enjoy a classic BLT, it’s pretty easy to mess up such a simple sandwich but they got it right. The lettuce was fresh and so crisp, the tomatoes were actually very sweet and they use thick cut bacon and a very generous amount all on toasted bread to hold in all the delicious joy that is a perfect sandwich. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Great food! I will definitely be back to try the breakfast. Very clean restaurant. Friendly and fast service. I felt it was a little pricey for what it was, but other than that good experience.

Just ate here. Got the ultimate grilled cheese. Let’s just say I’ve had much better regular grilled cheese. For the price I would rate it a 3 out of 10. Instead of fries I asked for hash browns because I love hash browns. They were good but not good enough to get me to come back for them. Petes Grill on Brookhurst has MUCH better hash browns for far less price. However I will be coming back and giving this place another try because their customer service. Everyone was very very nice and attentive from the get go. They did not have a problem with my substitution nor did they make a fuss about it. After getting my food I asked for hot sauce but they don’t have to go hot sauce so the very nice girl went and made one for me with a little cup. That is the type of service I expect everywhere and the type of service that will bring me back. I hope the food is a lot better next time. Maybe I need to get a signature item.

Service bad, food worse. Eat plants or black top, maybe even dirt instead. Bartender too busy talking about last nights party with her drunk friends to place our order, they forget our salad, toast so burnt I’m going to use it as a door mat at home…

One of those awesome places that you can have breakfast even at 10:00 p. m!!! Staff was friendly and the food was pretty good. I didn’t order a breakfast plate for I just liked the idea of it. I ended up ordering just the regular hot dog with beer battered fries! Those kind of fries are a must! Nice and crispy! The décor is pretty cool, it’s that kind of American car diner feeling to it.

I love the breakfast here! It’s fantastic and always very tasty. I don’t think a restaurants stars should be based on whether or not they have wifi; that’s ridiculous . But the breakfast is always great and customer service has always been fantastic as well!

I try a new place that I like and I keep going back until I get sick of it. Well, this is one of those places. When it opened at least 3 years ago, my wife and I would come here at least once a week and then we kind of got sick of it and never went back. We finally went back to it this past weekend. We were looking for a place to eat breakfast, but our usual place was too crowded so we decided to try Woody’s again since it’s been over a year since we last visited. I forgot how nice everyone is here. The staff is always friendly. It only took us 10 minutes before we got seated and we ordered. The menu hasn’t varied too much from a few years ago, but my wife got the Eggs Florentine. And I got nachos, since it was almost lunch time. She loved her dish and the nachos were good too. During our time there our waitress had a lot of tables to serve, but always managed to check on us. Overall, the service is really good. The food is above average. I’m going to have to put this back on my «goto» list again… but this time go in moderation!

Great place for breakfast! If it had WIFI, I’d visit every day. Had the California omelette special today, which was awesome and a good deal. Servers are always attentive, friendly and fun. Also has a pretty fun happy hour and full bar, though I’ve only been a couple times(no WIFI). If only there was a way to let the owners know they would draw many more people and get higher Unilocal ratings if they would just add WIFI… Mostly love for the place anyhow.

I couldn’t get the grungy feel of the Woody’s off Warner out of my head, but a friend suggested this location and I thought I’d try it out. Super impressed with how this one looks. If you’re going to gorge yourself with diner food sometimes it’s nice to not be in a run down«diner» feel of a building which makes you feel double gross. There is ample indoor seating space and two dog friendly patios on both sides. Big A+ for being dog friendly and having an outdoor patio. Food was pretty darn good. I had a teriyaki pineapple chicken burger with onion rings. They don’t just do diner food but salads, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, extensive dinner options etc. I must say service is sub par. Walking in not one person greeted me even though I was just standing there waiting to be seated for a minute or two. I get that servers jobs aren’t to seat but I don’t understand how a simple hello could hurt them as they walk by. It was kind of an awkward start, and our server didn’t seem to want to be there but luckily we didn’t need her for anything besides the minimum effort that she gave. P.s they serve breakfast all day and they have a full bar.

Whoa Dan H! A 5 star update for a family resto? From the guy that wouldn’t sit in a dining room full of kids even if he were dressed as Santa Claus? Yep, and here’s why. Great efficient service with a smile. And not just from the bartendresses/waitresses, but even from the buss staff, and gasp, the managers too. The two main managers, Elaine and Christy, constantly roam the floor and bar backing up the staff, and making sure the patrons are happy. With constant smiles yet. In this biz that is often a challenge, but these two are more than up for it. Shocking, but I always sit at the bar, or at the high-tops directly in front of the bar. Several flats with the current games of interest on, or they will get them on within minutes upon request. Hear that Market Broiler? The regular bartendresses, Michelle, Sarah, and Nicole, are all incredible at their jobs, and also are smiling sweetly through their chaotic duties. This place does get really busy at times. Ms. Liz works the weekend morning shifts, and some other random times, and is also a joy to have as your btender/server They always remember my additions and subtractions of my regular menu choices. And I have settled on a few items that I regularly enjoy. The Greek salad is surprisingly good for a diner. I get the half, easy peperoncinis and dressing, and heavy on the feta. With encouragement from the lovely Chanell, we kicked it up a notch by substituting grilled shrimp for chicken. Excellent idea, and only an extra $ 3 or so. The roasted turkey dinner is also worthy if you are very hungry, and the veggie eggplant and roasted peppers sandwich is a great healthy option. All of the breakfast items I have tried have been awesome, esp the Longboard veggie omelet. My customized version is hold the cheeses that comes with, and substitute feta, and add avo. Splash on a copious amount of Tapatío, and you will surely break fast for the rest of the day. There is one huge recent negative though. They now measure the wine pours by using those dreaded little one serving carafes. I bitched about it long and hard, but was put in my place, by you guessed it, a smiling Elaine. Damn it!
