Marriage? Commitment?
Ehhhhh…I’m pretty pessimistic when it comes to stuff like that. I’ve found that truly happy people are ones who live life freely, release positive energy into the world, have good intentions and focus on being better people. Marriage being irrelevant. And I guess it doesn’t hurt to mention that I haven’t seen marriage work for others in my life AT ALL. But I’m not here to convince. Just thinking out loud and writing my thoughts on Unilocal.
However, I will say that this day was a perfect one for the two people in love. A small cozy wedding with close friends and family, blue skies, not a cloud in sight…
And the first step taken toward forever, all at St. Mary’s. For the two of you, I’m your biggest cheerleader and I’m willing to believe. Here’s to a lifetime of:

A home away from home. I don’t live in H. B anymore but its worth the drive to come to this quaint little church. A very welcoming congregation to visitors and new comers.

I got away from the Church for many years and Church hopped alot when I moved here to HB in search of the warmth I found here, and I love it. Our Pastor is great, very motivated, funny and to the point. Lots of parish involvement, the parishioners are very friendly and helpful. Try it you’ll love it.

Such a cute little church. I used to come to the mass every Saturday. They used to have people kneel at the front for Holy Communion, and to receive the Communion by tongue only. This was also done for the Blood of Christ. I’m not sure if they still have it anymore. They remodeled the place but it still has that old-​fashioned feel to it.

I have been to many churches in my lifetime. This is one of the best small ambiance church. This is one of few church that still has LATIN mass at Noon. The priest is Vietnamese, funny, short with homily. The people are friendly, and especially kids friendly.
Homily: 4.5÷5 short to the point with few jokes throw in.
ambiance: ⁵⁄₅ small, cozy, clean. remind me of one of the old church in the 1950’s.
cleanlyness: 4.5÷5
parking: ⁴⁄₅ I went on a Sunday. Parking was around the corner on the street. no private parking lot. The earlier in the day you go to mass, the more chance of a parking space.
safety: ⁵⁄₅
overall: ⁵⁄₅ I really like this church. It has an almost surreal 1950’s atmosphere once you step inside the church. It has a classic pipe organ, wooden bench chairs, small families with little children. I feel like I am back in the day of my youth, going to church in a small town, knowing all your neighbors and chatting with them after service. In addition, there is a little coffee shop, just around the corner that is just very intimate and cozy for the little ones if they get restless.

I’ve been to a few Catholic parishes before moving to Huntington, and this is by far my favorite little church. I always appreciate the size of the crowd and how friendly the people are. Also, there’s an awesome little coffee shop right behind the church, which is perfect for after mass.
