I have to be honest… I wasn’t happy with my experience here. Nothing against the employees, everyone was so friendly and nice. Great people. I just wasn’t happy with my hair. Granite I came in with a disaster of faded out red– and red is very hard to get out of your hair. I asked for highlights and lowlights, ash brown weaved in between blond highlights and it came out horrible. Plus the bleach destroyed my hair and the stylist had to cut like 5 inches of my hair off. I’m super unhappy. So bummed I basically lost all of my hair over this. And to top it off I had to fix it after the stylist did what she did. That just makes it worse. My hair is so damaged and short now :/​I wish I never came to this salon. My hair is ruined. So sad.

Sandy is ridiculous. God forbid you come in here dressed nicely. She attempted to overcharge me after asking me how much I paid for my last haircut. I’m not sure why or how that’s even relevant, but I answered her question anyway. She then told me she’d have to charge me at least $ 20. I agreed. Maybe I was too compliant, because she followed up with how she now had to charge me over $ 20. Still ok. As I sit in her chair, she arbitrarily decides on a price and tells me that cutting my hair would run me «AT LEAST $ 45.» How’d we go from $ 20 to $ 45? And «AT LEAST» meaning she could charge me an even higher rate? You’re too funny, Sandy.
If I pay $ 15 more I can get my hair done at a Carlton hair salon…

I’ve always wanted to colour my hair but somehow Sandy would never approve any crazy hair colour. lol. But this time around I insisted on getting a blonde hair. Not brown, not light brown or copper etc but really blonde hair. After browsing the internet for weeks, I decided on a style and showed the picture to Sandy. As usual she was worried it would be too blonde to me but I assured that’s what I really wanted. Something explosive. Something wild. Something bold. After a few round and layers of colouring, she did it.
It sure wasn’t easy since I have a long and lots of hair and they are very thick too. Sandy was worried they would come out red and I was too but luckily everything turns out great. I love my hair colour. Thanks Sandy!

First, I want to point out that I added Shear Wonder business on Unilocal.I did so because 1) I was surprised it wasn’t already listed 2) It should be considered for someone looking for a good hair cut. So if anyone is wondering if my review is biased, it may only seem so because Sandy is really my go-​to person for my hair.
I’ve been getting my hair cut by Sandy for the past 5 years and I’ve really liked the final product every time. I also recently wanted to do something different and got my hair permed by her around August. I told her I just wanted loose wavy curls and she did just that. (photo of final product attached)
