Won’t be returning here. Dirty floors, sticky tables. Check in at the front desk was not polite. Half of the restaurant was empty, yet they had a 20 – 30 minute wait. We sat down and waited awhile before we were even greeted. Then the drinks arrived with no carbonation. The table next to us was complaining about something to the manager. Not a good experience at all.

Tried this place for Happy Hour and it happened to be on Taco Tuesday. Food is great, really yummy tacos and flat bread, but if you are having drinks, stick with beer or wine, the mixed drinks at Happy Hour are not gonna make you happy.

Came here for breakfast before a day at Huntington Beach and it did not disappoint! Our server Brooke was able to give us a rundown of all of her favorites, many of which we ordered. I had the French toast and holy moly it. was. INCREDIBLE. Might be the best French toast I’ve ever had. Also tried a bit of the eggs Benedict and it was also delicious. Another plus– we sat on the patio and were able to watch some Olympic sand volleyball players practice while we were eating, which was pretty cool in itself. Would love to come back for lunch and dinner and try more of their food!

Nice location with a nice view and outdoor patio but that’s about it. The food is pretty average but it’s worse when considering the prices. BBQ rib appetizer is very tender but all you taste is sauce and no meat. I am always suspicous of places that try to cover the natural flavors of the ingredients with sauces. Chowder was decent though might have had too much flour. Service was friendly and atmosphere was pleasant though the music was a bit loud. I don’t think I’d come back.

I made a reservation for 13, and because life happens, we had 7 show up. I know that this can be frustrating for the restaurant. and they gave us the best seat in the house. They didn’t give us any grief for this, and were very much accommodating the whole time! The food was delicious. It was my husband’s birthday, so hey also gave him a card and a s’more sundae! Loved the personal touch!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed walking to the pier on the weekend and many time have eaten at Sandy’s and we usually get really good service. They failed this weekend. We just ordered 2 hamburger but it seems like it took extra long for our food. Another couple came in after us ate and left before we got our food. Waiter took my boyfriend empty beer glass away without asking if he wanted another. My ice tea didn’t get refilled until I flagged a manager down. Although the food is decent and the view is great there are many other restaurants on Main Street to go to. Maybe with better service.

Food not up to par. Yes the location is awesome with great views, however the food just wasn’t doing it for me nor anyone else I took. I’ve been here twice and with even giving Sandy’s a second chance, i’m still not thrilled. For the price, you would think the food would be awesome but it wasn’t the case here. During my first visit, my better half and I ordered the Fish Tacos for lunch, one of their signature dishes. We figured we were playing it safe but the tacos just weren’t all that. The fish wasn’t very seasoned, they were small, basic & topped off with Pico de Gallo with a side of over cooked tortilla strips. I felt pretty stupid paying $ 14+ for two fish tacos I could have gotten from a food truck for less than half the price. To top this off, we both had stomach aches later on that day. Not completely blaming it on these tacos but it was the only thing we had to eat that day… Who knows. I decided to return with my parents visiting in town so they could have dinner on the beach. A list of the items we ordered was the BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Shrimp Pasta Ballarine, Prime Flat Iron Steak and the Fish & Chips. The positive: My dad loved the ribs and wanted more. The negative: Everything else was bland and regretful. My Shrimp Pasta Ballarine was pasta covered with a thick sauce that was a bit over powering with it’s flavors that were not working together. I was unable to finish it. The Fish & Chips were something you would see at a fast food restaurant and the Prime Flat Iron Steak was a waste. Overcooked and blah.(We are from Texas, so we know our steaks). I felt so horrible that they didn’t like the food and even more horrible to pay their prices for crap food. It’s honestly a shame that Sandy’s food was so basic. The location is killer and the atmosphere is great. They really do a good job with the ambiance and décor. The service was great both times and the happy hour drinks were on point. I hope that more attention can be given to the food taste and quality so that us restaurant fans don’t have to rate poorly. Sorry Sandy’s, it’s a thumbs down for me.

Had a vendor from Switzerland a distributor here for drinks after dinner. This was my first time here. We had a few beers each and the ambience was great. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices for the area. Will definitely be back again.

The atmosphere is good. Nice beach view. And the food was awesome. You must try the fish tacos! Make sure you grab a good IPA to go with it. The fish and chips are so fresh. I would definatly come here again.

Very slow service, not very busy for such bad service. Food: cornbread was the best part. The ceviche was sloppy. I ordered the fish and chips, the batter wasn’t fully cooked and very oily. They overcooked the asparagus. My friends both got the fish tacos and said they were subpar. Also they attempted a coconut mojito and failed miserably. The best part of the restaurant is that it’s by the beach so convenience is nice but otherwise could be vastly improved.

You can Valet park at the restaurant for three hours for $ 7 and have the delicious food at Sandys and then walk of the calories at the Beach. The food is super tasty and the service is fast and friendly. I loved the veggie Burger gives you a complete fill and energy to last till the next day. We also had the fish Tacos and the regular burger along with corn bread. The food is fantastic. We love the Bill as they charged us the happy hour rates so we all will plan another visit next weekend.

We popped in for Sunday brunch and were quickly seated in the bar area. Wonderful– no wait! I ordered an extra spicy Bloody Mary and settled on some Fish Tacos. Now, this girl loves her some Bloody Marys and although I may not be an expert, I can confidently say that I know good ones from bad ones. This particular one was not good. I was pleased when it arrived to see fresh dill – something I don’t see often in Bloody’s. But one sip later and I was bummed. It was completely watery(was it poured from a premade pitcher with ice in it??) and was utterly flavorless. We let our server know about it and he didn’t offer any solutions or offer to have it remade. Since I knew I was already paying for it, I asked him to bring extra Worcestershire, tabasco and celery salt so I could add it in myself. Talk about DIY Bloody Mary. As for my Fish Tacos – they were average. The fish was on the drier side but the cilantro cream sauce on the side was lovely! All in all, it was really a MEH experience for me. Definitely not worth the $ 30 I spent.

SANDY’S SUREKNOWSHOWTOTHROW A BIRTHDAYPARTY! Sandy’s was celebrating it’s 6th anniversary today 4-22-2016 and decided to have a huge party for its patrons and even the mayor of Huntington Beach was invited. Wow what a great and awesome party at a great location with a lovely view of the pier and a great variety of appetizers such as kalua pork sliders, deviled eggs, cheese toast, seafood fritters, pork belly, fire grilled hamburger sliders with delicious toppings and a few more that i can’t remember the names, all being served non stop by a very hard working and very friendly staff. Drinks were being served freely including champagne and several great brands of beer such as stone’s pataskala red ipa. There was a great rock band entertaining and playing popular oldies but goodies. As part of the festivities patrons had an option to buy a 10 dollar punch card that needed 5 punches at varies food and drink stations. The sixth punch entered you into a drawing for great dinner prizes, merchandise and the card can later be redeemed as a 25 dollar coupon toward your next dinner. what a fantastic win win deal! I think proceeds of the punch card went to the junior life guard program. Thank you Sandy’s management for inviting us to this very happy celebration and thank you Sandy’s staff for the great service we had a great time and will see you soon to enjoy more of your great food and ambiance! Already looking forward to your next birthday!!!

So I visited Sandy’s this past Friday while on vacation. My cousin lives near Huntington Beach and she runs in that area. She always wanted to try it so we stopped by for lunch. Cute restaurant and people are really friendly. We ordered the fried green beans appetizer. So delicious! I ordered the carnita tacos and she ordered the steak &boursin flatbread. We also had a tequila margarita on the side. All of the food was wonderful! The only downfall was that our server was kind of slow. However, it’s a wonderful place and you should visit if you’re around that area. Sit near the window if possible. Such a beautiful view of the liveliness of Huntington Beach.

One of my favorite places to eat in Huntington Beach. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is always relaxing and fun. Valet parking makes it convenient, it’s only $ 7. The Jidori Chicken salad is great!!! If you’re looking to try something different for breakfast, the sweet potato chorizo hash is delish. Another must have… the cornbread is fantastic!

Came here with my wife on a Sunday before our beach stroll. Walking in, we knew the view is going to be good, but service is going to be subpar. Our experience confirms it. We chose his place because there is a long wait at Duke’s while Sandy can sit us right away. The food we ordered were decent. We ordered Seafood cocktail. The presentation is really nice and the taste refreshing. Turkey sandwich. The sandwich is on the dry side and taste bland. Tuna sandwich. The best tasting option out of the three. Now the service is definitely something to complain about. It takes 40 minutes between the appetizer and the main dish and the place is only 75% full. The waiter that served us was not attentive, asked us if we are doing okay but looking away. We asked for ketchup and that never came. Couple with most staff lack smiles make this a less than average dining experience.

This is not your typical beachside sand shack. What this is however, is the ONLY restaurant offering this quality of food on the boardwalk and sand. Love having light lunch here on the patio during the weekday and watching the volley ball matches being played while enjoying a cold beverage. Dinner here isn’t bad either. I’ve had lunch and dinner here more times than I can count. Here are my suggestions:(tailored to my particular tastes) Appetizer dishes I like — ceviche is great and so are the scallops. The scallops are actually very well thought out with a nice surprise combination when served. Always get their skillet corn bread. They serve it with a sriracha butter that is very tasty. No preferences on any of their salads all are great but none are worth writing about. Main meals: Fish tacos’s — excellent Steak and wedge — awesome but maybe share it Burgers: the jalapeño is good but if you want a burger experience head up the street to slayers 50⁄50 Reservations are accepted and they have shared valet parking with Dukes upstairs.
