Ramaneh Cafe

First time here tonight with a few friends!
I’m not from around the area so I found this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot.
Overall the experience was pretty awesome!
The atmosphere is super chill. Really cool if you wanna just kick back and smoke.
We got a couple of sets:
1 with a pineapple bowl that had a fruit mix and the other had white gummy and strawberry.
Cons:
I wish there was a bigger shisha selection. All of it was al fakher with a few fumari flavors (white gummy, mint chocolate chill, lemon mint, spiced chai).
Pineapple bowl was cut a tad crooked so it kept sliding a bit.
Music was playing but I wish it was a little louder.
Don’t check IDs (which is not necessarily a con but for legal reasons it might be)
Pros:
Couches were comfy!
Big ups on the customer service. The staff were all attentive and were more than happy to help. Shoutout to the guy in the red hoodie! Took care of us from start to finish and was able to answer all of my questions!
Also liked how they had clay bowls. Some places don’t and trust it definitely makes a difference. Consistent coal changes and the coals didn’t ash a lot.
The fruit mix that was made in the pineapple bowl was pretty good. They also have ice tips!
Four starts was due to the small shisha selection but overall I would definitely recommend this place!

This is the best café/​Hookha/​food place ever, the environment is great and the staff are very friendly. The out side seating is really nice and comfortable. This is my perfect spot from now! Perfect just to go with your wife/​date and have some good quit time.

Worst hookah I have ever had in my life time. Fine nice staff… Even though it was all of the family members and not the actual staff. Waited 10 minutes to be greeted even now there was one other table in the entire place that had a customer smoking hookah. After getting a table at a empty hookah bar it took them another 10 minutes to ask us for our order… Another 25 minutes to get our hookah and it was not the right hookah, died after 15 minutes waited another 20 minutes to get new hookahs… And another 5 minutes to get coals which came off of the other customers hookah who just left. Last time I am coming here. The only reason I give this place 2 stars, it’s because they gave us the hookahs for free at the end. Oh one more thing, after we ordered our hookah the kid tried to take our menus back… Brah we trying to order food but nah good doing «business» with you, if that’s what you call this.

THE BEST HOOKAH LOUNGE IN CALIFORNIA! Great service and great hookah, food is also great! Try the sujok sand which, Omar the owner is also very nice and always checks up on us! Me and my wife will be back forsure!

Cool place for hookah. but definitely not the best I’ve ever had. The couches provide a really comfortable seating arrangement and it’s a good place for groups or even to go alone. The hookahs are good but have gotten harsh for me quickly a few times. Overall, I would come back and still do. The service is good. all the guys are super friendly.

Loved this place. It’s definitely a hidden gem. Very relaxing and cool. Their food is also very delicious. Great prices too! Will be back.

This place is the bomb! Easily the best hookah in town. Great ambiance and atmosphere. I like the chill and calm environment, it’s not overpowering like other places with loud music. You can actually sit down here and relax and talk to friends. I always come here after work, and they always take care of me here.

Not a fan of hookah nor did I intend on going here, but my unintentional contact with the café was hilariously unprofessional. I parked in front and walked away looking for the Speakeasy. I was stopped about 30 yards down by the employee. He asked me to move my car because it was a handicap parking spot. I apologized because I didn’t see any posted signs. He then told me there wasn’t any posted signs, but the owner gets mad when someone parks in his spot… I gave no trouble because I didn’t care, I happily moved my car two spots down. The comedian then invited me to come in after dinner to try his hookah bar! Best service ever… not! PS on our way back to the car it seems the owner had parked in his spot. I’m glad we moved the car or he would have been mad.

Excellent service! Hookahs are great and a good place to kick back and relax. Staff is super friendly. Would definately recommend it to friends.

Nice little hidden gem. The hookahs were clean and service was great. The crowd is mixed and ambiance perfect to chill out and relax smoking your shisha and drinking hot tea.

As I was in desperate need to get a lot of work done, I figured a relaxing afternoon hookah session was in order to force myself to sit down and get everything done. I found this place and decided to give it a shot because (1) they’re open earlier than most other places, and (2) it’s close to home.
First, they use Nakhla and Al Fahker shisha, the OG brands. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of all the modern sweet flavors (Starbuzz et al) that taste like fruit punch. I want the hookah to taste and feel like it should. (hah. that sounded… off…). Anyway, I ordered Orange/​Citrus Mint mix, and it was just stellar. Highly recommend.
The hookah didn’t have any strange flavors/​aftertaste. I noticed they use washable rubber hookah hoses. I’m not sure if they actually wash or not, but I will say that the hose didn’t carry any peculiar flavors from sessions past. Didn’t taste soapy or ashy or old or anything. A huge plus.
I also ordered a pot of black tea with mint leaves — wonderful compliment to any hookah!
This may be my hookah choice from now on.

We love this place. Awesome seating in the open air and nice flavors!!! We go there once a week. The place is very different than any hooka lounge. The people are a lot more mellow and chill. Ambiance is very suitable even for a date. They serve all flavors. And smoking is only allowed outside. Bad thing is their food menu is very limited!!! But the hooka and the outside seating make up for it… Right in the old village plaza

I came across this place when I was eating at the old Germany town. We came back to try it one night and it turned out to be pretty great.
I’ve been to A LOT of hookah bars in my time and it is very easy to mess one up. But this place did not disappoint.
On the inside it’s a café, and they have a pretty big drink selection. And on the plus side, all of the drinks we were able to try came out tasting great. They brought them out hot and quick, and we didn’t have any complaints about them.
They put the hookah part on the outside to separate the 2 scenes. Not the best if you are trying to make those perfect smoke rings or tornados, but good enough. The brought the hookah out and the coals shortly after. They came by a couple times to check in on us and replace the coals. I love the service here.
If you are new to the area or looking for a hookah place just for the night, this is the spot to go.

Great place, across the street from GoldenWest college. Hookah and a great atmosphere to study. Wifi & a variety of music. Hookah is top notch and the service is great!!!

This is probably my favorite place to hookah in the oc. Not only are prices reasonable but the setting itself is so relaxing and nice at night. You can hookah outside while sitting on some small couches and view the white Christmas lights hanging outside. It’s very cute and nice. It’s located in old world Huntington Beach right next to bella terra. The only downside about this place is that everytime that I’ve been here, it seems like the only people who go here are family friends of the owner or workers whom are all older Persian men. So it can be a little awkward when you’re the only asian person. Even though they’re really nice people it just doesn’t feel as inviting or comfortable. Oh ya and they only play Persian music videos lol but I don’t mind that at all. Still love this place.

I’m pretty much a regular. it’s a very chill spot where i can sit and talk to friends. There is a blend of ethnic music with hip hop, edm, top 40. they have tvs if you want to watch sports. prices are reasonable. great place just to relax.

This place is a little tricky to find if you’re not familiar with the layout of Old World. It’s also a little creepy at night when there aren’t many people around, eeep!
Ramaneh is directly across the street from Costco, situated right on Center Drive… you can see their outdoor patio from the street.
I arrived at Ramaneh on a Friday night around 9pm and there was already a good number of people hanging out and smoking hookah on the outdoor patio. I’m not a fan of hookah lounges that are club like so this is already a plus in my book because Ramaneh is not like that at all. I also liked that they had a covered patio, and the air circulation was great. Most enclosed hookah places usually give me a headache when all the overwhelming artificial smells add up. They have a couple flat screen tvs and background music playing, but very low, so you can still have conversations with your company instead of having to tell over at each other.
We were seated out on the patio in front of the tvs. The flavor we ended up trying was tropical peach, I didn’t want anything too strong, sweet, or overwhelming so they recommended the peach and it was nice and subtle. Not too sweet with a hint of the peach. The lounge chairs are comfy with big plush pillows, there are also booths out on the patio as well. A couple tables inside (but nobody wanted to sit inside). They also have only one unisex restroom. The prices are extremely reasonable as well!

I got the lychee guava hookah with mint. And it was really good, and service was superb, really good with coals and the worker was very attentive and happy to help and answer any questions or needs.
The hookah was good as well and enjoyed it a lot, i sat outside and even though it was cold outside with their heaters on it was just right and I stayed warm perfectly fine, I would definitely come back and recommend this place to everyone! I also got the hot tea pot and it was perfect for sharing and kept me warm too. Definitely satisfied, and they have great deals for the week days too. Monday is all day hookah for 10 $, and they have a college night on Thursdays and something on Wednesdays too for $ 10 hookahs so that’s awesome!

This place is a great find. It has a very relaxing vibe on the patio where you can enjoy the weather and your hookah. Many flavors available and the pricing is pretty standard like the other OC hookah spots.
The guy working there was super cool and gave us a stamp card. I also had a homemade middle eastern dessert and it was good. Services is what makes this place so cool, the guy at the counter (short guy with a bike, sorry bro forgot your name) checked on us frequently and always made sure we had coal.
I will surely return.

What I love about Rmaneh is that it’s a blend of a café to sit on your laptop and a hookah bar. It doesn’t have that annoying club atmosphere that many café/​hookah places try to emulate. It’s atmosphere has it’s own genuine personality, and it’s located a really classy village.
Would come back here again with friends!
