I went into the store tonight to buy some shampoo and conditioner and while I waited at the counter to pay, the ladies working just stood their talking about e-mails and guys. I finally just left after waiting a few minutes. They have terrible customer service!

Mad props to Brianna… she is the best! I was referred to her by my co-worker/friend a few years ago and have been going to Pure Beauty since! What I really appreciate about her is that she always makes great recommendations on what styles would work for me. She is very creative in her cuts, which I really like! If you’re in need of a funky cut, she is the answer to your prayers! Everytime I visit, I trust her to do her magic and sure enough, she surprises me each time! LOVEIT! She is also really great at color! I USED to get color done, but recently, I’ve been keepin’ it real w/my true color! :) But this girl is the master in color too. I’ve gotten practically every color of the rainbow done to my hair and she does something magical to keep the colors stay in! A word of advise… make sure you call far in advance, to ensure you get an appointment w/Brianna! You won’t regret it!

I always go here to pick up my OPI nail polish(it’s the best). They always have the latest selection of colors. They also have an array of products from Murad, Bliss, Fresh, etc etc etc. I recently got eyelash extensions by Brianna which I love. She was really sweet and quick! She even does the first touch up for free :)

I experienced the same problem with PureBeauty that Tonia did. I purchased a couple of makeup items that were on clearance and got them home only to find fingerprints in them once I opened them up. EEK. So I brought them back right away(with my receipt) and explained what happened. They explained there were NO refunds/exchanges on clearance items. But it was used/tested! Sick! I bitched and complained until they«made an exception» and gave me store credit. It’s not my fault they have trashy customers who stick their fingers in the makeup and I shouldn’t have to pay the price for it! They had a big beautiful display of testers too so I don’t know why anyone would mess up the sale merchandise.

Pure Beauty is Pure S**T It doesn’t even deserve 1 Star, I would give it several Negative Stars, if that were an option. Let me just chronicle my misfortune: 1) I bought a product in their So. Cal store(Huntington Bch), opened it only to find the product was already opened. 2) I went back to the store I purchased it from and the sales person gave me a hard time for exchanging it. All I wanted was an unopened/new bottle! She said, «oh it’s just packaging, all you need to do is wipe it off…» — I was in disbelief! How could she not see anything wrong with selling a clearly used/opened bottle? After me persisting. she finally did the exchange. However, it took her 20 min. to complete the transaction, but wait… it gets even better! 3) I brought the bottle back home to discover she put the same DAMAGED product back in the bag! However, now I am no longer in So. Calif. and can’t take it back to the original store I bought it from! 4) I had to take time out of my busy work day to troll around the city looking for another store to exchange the product for the 2nd time. When I finally found one(not conveniently located), I was welcomed with the rudest salesperson. Wait, there’s more to this… 5) I forgot to mention earlier, NOTE: YOUCANNOTEXCHANGE A PRODUCT, REGARDLESSOFWHETHERITISDAMAGEDORNOT — NOEXCEPTIONS. Your only option is to Return it and Repurchase it! NOEVENEXCHANGE, exist in this pit! 6) So get this… I had to repurchase the same product, but since they cannot transact an even exchange… I was forced to repurchase it at a higher price b/c their registers cannot adjust for Sales Tax differences between cities. 7) Throughout this whole ordeal, the salesperson was incredibly rude and provided the best example of disservice. All she could say to me was, «well, it’s more expensive here…» She completely disregarded and trivialized the fact that one of their stores sold me a damaged product, only gave me back the same item after I exchanged it – or more accurately, returned and repurchased! 8) I have about 5 different transactions on my credit card over something as simple as a bottle of toner! The first salesperson ran my card 2x’s for return, then repurchase. The 2nd salesperson from store #2(Embarcadero), returned, then repurchased, then by the time this all happened… I was so fed-up with this store/company that I just returned the product all together. I would rather pay a higher price at another store to save myself the unnecessary stress! I refuse to ever contribute a cent to this company’s profits!!! Never! This was the most unbelievable retail experience. I can attest, having encountered both stores, I can confidently say… I am sure all their stores are trained the same — to provide the greatest disservice to their customers! I ended up buying the product from Sephora in the end.

Fabulous for picking up last minute gifts. Which is exactly what I did for one of my best gf’s BDay last month. Best part, she loved it which was a box set of assorted girly products & comes w/a free extra bubble bath lotion(limited time only). Seems like they specialize in hair products since half the store’s shelves were devoted to that department. The other half: cosmetics. There’s even a hair & makeup salon in the back for additional service. The sweet salesgirl was really helpful. She even wrapped the present at no extra charge. I dig the clean, organized, well stocked, fun & interesting variety of beauty items too. Thankfully they accept credit cards. Call for hours of operations, appointments or whatever name brand lines they carry. Extra cool: located in a plaza full of good lunch eateries & a Hallmark Store’s around the corner for more gift ideas & BDay cards. =)
