Minimex Everywhere

BREAKFAST BURRITOS. I’m a regular patron of the smoke shop across the parking lot, so I’m generally aware of Minimex and how popular it is. Up until this past weekend, I had never actually gone to get food here. Sunday morning hit hard with the munchies and I couldn’t think of anything but a machaca breakfast burrito. I convinced my boyfriend to take us over and inspect these great reviews even further! I ordered and devoured a super fat and hearty machaca and egg burrito, while the guy also demolished a ham, bacon and potato burrito. I believe all the burritos comes with eggs and beans, except for those particular meats that my boyfriend got. I was happy with the price in relation to content, it was so satisfying! I rarely see my boyfriend have the belly for that much food so early in the morning, but he inhaled that monster. I also would like to thank the lovely lady taking orders at the register. She snuck in four little contains of a killer red salsa; seriously, I was sipping it between bites of machaca. I can’t wait to come back for more of their menu!

Did the ownership or kitchen change? The usual players we see we’re not there. We ordered the family meal again this week and it wasn’t the same. Carnitas was missing flavor and was much more fatty than in the past. Chips were stale. Rice smelled and tasted like vinegar. Salsa was lacking. I really hope this was a fluke cause we really enjoy this place.

I freaking love this place! The owners wonderful the food is great the California Burrito is the best with the side of a large horchata. It’s worth the price and so far is the best place I’ve been to and I have not complained once about their food order of service I suggest the spot for everyone you down by the beach and need some Mexican food, stop by Minimax and best believe you will leave satisfied and it will probably be your new favorite spot in Southern California

My go to spot for local Mexican food. Best California and breakfast burritos in town! The friendly staff and delicious food bring me back every time! Seriously, do yourself a favor and try the California burrito! The bomb!

Hands down the best service, food and with a smile. This is what I’m talking about people. Great service, great food, happy customers.
I was sick for the last two weeks and couldn’t find pozole soup any where. I’ve made it, and I know first hand its an all day deal, but the end result is amazing. I explained to the owner that I was a little dispointed that they don’t have pozole everyday/​weekend. So he said today Mrs. Liz we will make pozole, and it will be ready for you to eat tomorrow. Really? I was so happy i and couldn’t believe it. I got several calls the next day that my soup was ready and to bring a pot with me to pick it up. They made me so much that I had to bring my own pot to take it home in.
The employees that were off work that day were even texting me to make sure I knew it was ready and what to bring etc.
Awesome Awesome people great food and perfect local spot for my family and I too enjoy some authentic Mexican food.
Thanks again every one for making my week. #pozole

Today was my first time trying this place. The carne asada tacos were very good and flavorful. I just wish the tacos were bigger especially for the price they are. The rice was honestly one of my favorite Mexican rice I’ve ever had. I eat at a lot of different taquerias and this place is definitely going to be a new spot I will continue going. :)

Food is bomb here! Breakfast burritos, menudo, tacos and especially the salsa is soooo good! My kids said the breakfast burritos from here are their favorite now :) Highly recommend this place and the staff was super friendly too. Oh and they have homemade corn tortillas!

If only I could get past the horrible service. The bartender Lee, was very rude and standoffish. Maybe because I wasn’t with a group of guys. not sure. There’s plenty of bars on Main with way better service. I wouldn’t recommend this place

Probably some of the best Mexican food that you can get here in huntington beach. not in a super upbeat location. a great place to get lunch though, then just stop in next door at a bar called driftwood for a nice cold one.

Best kept secret in HB. We are absolutely in love with their food!!! I always order a wet burrito with green sauce. Best!!! My boyfriend and I fight over the salsa! And three burritos for $ 20? So awesome. Just ordered for dinner.

This place is quick and always delicious. The food always comes out piping hot and it’s always great portions. Everyone who works there is always friendly. I am a regular for the breakfast burrito. Add beans and sour cream and potatoes to your bacon egg and cheese burrito and you won’t regret it !!

Great Little place. Friendly owners and great food. Service was quick and restaurant was clean. I ordered the Chilaquiles and was not disappointed. Chips were still crisp and the portion was perfect. I plan to come back and try there other menu items. Will recommend to my friends.

Been coming to this place since 2011 and have always been satisfied with the quality and the taste of the food at this place.

My wife loves the California Burrito and so do I. We always love to eat here. It has a very laid back family vibe here. Don’t forget the $ 1 tacos on Tuesday after 3pm, they are soo Yummy!!! It’s a family owned business that makes homemade Mexican food that tastes great! The Pozole is great too! And yes they have Mexican Cokes in the glass bottles!!! I’m a customer for life!!!
