If only I could give no stars. This piece of junk truck parks outside of my apartment every weekend. I have to listen to children crying, adults yelling, smell disgusting food, and have trash scattered all over my back yard. The guy who owns this holds his spot with a crappy car that sounds like it should explode on start up. I can forget getting any sleep with this loud truck and car parked outside my window. They also find it nessesary to block an emergency access drive to my apartment building. I can only hope that one day your joke of a so called business gets shut down. Move your delapitated car and taco truck!

Came here with my boyfriend on a Wednesday afternoon around 12:30−1. It wasn’t crowded at all and we received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. The service is pretty good. The woman taking orders was very nice, and offered every customer a complimentary cup of pineapple juice. My boyfriend and I split 10 tacos for $ 5. We went with carne asada(4), carnitas(4) and chicharron tacos(2). The carne asada and the carnitas were okay – nothing too memorable – but the chicharron tacos really packed all the flavor. The quality of the food, in combination with the price($.50/taco) makes it an obvious 5-star joint.

I’ve been going to El Chavito for 2 years now but this is my first time going to this truck on Sycamore. You can’t beat these tacos. They’re two for a dollar! One of the cheapest meals you’ll have unless you’re cooking for yourself. But they’re not just cheap, they’re great and well worth their price. My favorites are chicharron and carnitas. Chicharron is the most underrated meat they have so give that a shot. I’ve also had carne asada, and pollo which are pretty good as well. They have a wide variety of meats so there’s definitely something for everybody. They also have tortas and burritos that are cheap as well but I’m definitely a taco person when I come here. The service has always been really friendly and you can ask for some pineapple juice with comes free for your order.

favorite taco truck ever!!! tacos are $ 0.50 and they make it so quickly! My favorite is lengua but tbh I like all of them. This place gives out free pineapple juice too! The truck changes locations on weekdays and weekends, so make sure to be careful! On the truck it says: Monday-Friday: 9am-7pm at cypress and oak Sat — Sun: 9am-7pm at queens and barton

Why wait for Taco Tuesdays when you can get 2 street tacos for $ 1.00 at this lonchera in Huntington Beach? The 2x$ 1 price is stable here unlike at the original El Chavito truck where I’ve seen the price fluctuate from $ 0.50 to $ 0.80 to $ 0.60 over the past year. You still get free pineapple water while waiting in line. In addition, the crowd is significantly smaller at this location. There were only 5 customers surrounding the truck during lunch time. I ordered 6 street tacos and received my to-go order within 2 minutes, neatly wrapped up in plastic with all the fixings including radish, jalapeño pepper, and lime. Talk about fast service! What makes this taco truck so appealing is not the meat or tortilla quality as much as the value. The tortillas appeared to be store-bought and weren’t greasy at all. The meats that I ordered — asada, carnitas, lengua — were ordinary tasting although they were not flavorless(lengua had the most rich flavor). The meats were chopped up into small pieces, overall nothing special. But there’s something satisfying about spending only $ 3 for a tray loaded with tacos to fulfill an occasional craving. For those with small appetites, 4 tacos should be filling, who can say no to a $ 2 lunch? This is the only place I’ve come across that offers 2x$ 1 in the daytime, the other options for 2x$ 1 are either only open on Tuesdays or late night in Boyle Heights. Between this location and the original El Chavito HQ at the intersection of Slater and Morgan, I would revisit this one. The prices are slightly lower here, and the salsas have impressive depth of flavor, especially the salsa verde which is bright, has a smoky note, and contains a lot of heat.

Best tacos for the money on Earth by far!!! I always stop here when I’m in the area whether or not I’m hungry. Service is always friendly and I prefer the green salsa. They will give you a fried jalapeño at no extra charge upon request. Do you have a dollar? If so stop by and treat yourself to two tacos you’ll see what I mean…

My favorite taco place for their sauces! The green and red sauce are awesome, and they always give me a lot of meat. This is the only taco truck that I’ve gone to so far that serves radishes. And the price is unbeatable! 2 for $ 1 what’s not to love! And the large horchata is only $ 2 :)

They’ve added a 2nd truck to their fleet! Weekday lunch hours, they are located near the corner of Ash Ln and Cypress Dr. in Huntington Beach. The nearest large intersection is Beach and Warner. Its tucked a couple blocks off of Beach and Warner and I found this place merely by word of mouth. Saturday and Sunday they are at 17308 Queens Lane, Huntington Beach, CA. Tacos have been $ 0.50, not to be confused with their price increase at their other truck/location is selling for $ 0.60 or $ 0.80…but its 2 for $ 1 at Ash and Cypress! Decent horchatas are $ 1 for 16oz and $ 2 for 32oz. Basic tacos, no frills, but for the price, the value can not be beat. Double wrapped with a corn tortilla, choice of meat. They ask if you want everything. «Everything» includes onion, cilantro, and sauce. The quality and taste are decent, certainly couldn’t find a cheaper lunch anywhere else! If you order to-go they will include the radish, limes, and chili pepper in a saran wrapped styrofoam container. This was awesome because it didn’t make my car smell like a taco truck itself! I had my whole entire order done in 1 minute even with a line of about 4 people. This truck is awesome, hands down!
