Great place for breakfast. You have to try their fried rice with bbq pork and 2 sunny side eggs on top. They will also make this with brown rice. I will be back to try all their other specialties.

Omg! So do you ever wish you can go back to The Dole Plantation in Hawaii!? Or Disneyland enchanted Tiki room vendor to get a pineapple Whip or float?! Well there’s no need to wish again! These girls rock out and do the cutest float ever. Consisting of whip and fresh pineapple juice! Try it! It’s just the same! Love them! At about $ 3.50 -$ 4.50 depending on just a whip or float! Make sure you tip them! They add a cherry and little umbrella to set the mood.

This was our first time at Dough’s, we tried their Malasadas and they were great, can’t wait to go back and try their other products. We also went next door and got some shaved ice at Hula girls. One stop for Great food and Desert.

Casual Hawaiian restaurant located in a shopping center so there’s lots of parking. The restaurant is also connected to a shaved ice place, so it’s convenient if you want some after you eat. We got the loco moco and all meat fried rice, both had tons of flavor! It’s one of the best loco mocos I’ve had that’s not in Hawaii. Also got the piña colada malasada, which was good and not too sweet. Its a drive for me but I would definitely come back.

My friend and I drive here from as far as Victorville to eat here as it reminds him of spending the summer in HI with his grandparents. We tried 3 – 4 different items and well, it’s just become the tradition. Now we come here weekly! The owner is as sweet as her malasadas!

Really great Hawaiian food in HB. I have tried other places locally and was let down by the flavor. Dough Dough’s is legit, and the portions are very generous. Highly recommend the kahlua pork, and the teriyaki chicken & beef. Two thumbs up.

This’ll be short and sweet. The food? Great. I got a mix plate of Kalua pork and chicken katsu. Good flavor and katsu was juicy and good crunch. The main problem? The wait. From walking in the door and ordering, to first bite, was nearly 35 minutes. I had almost drank all my Hawaiian sun by the time I got my food. Maybe a fluke? It’s worth going back to see if it’ll happen again, the food is worth it. The staff needs work with attentiveness; other than that the food is fantastic. It’s a shame it takes so long to get in front of you. If service improves; it’ll update with a star or two. Maybe they’re just on island time.

I had been looking forward to trying Dough Dough’s for a while. They had offered a coupon for a free menu item with the purchase of another. When I attempted to use this offer, I was informed that they are no longer accepting the coupon(which doesn’t expire until 12/30/2016). They are not obligated to offer coupons to customers, but refusing to honor an unexpired coupon is at the very least a poor business practice, if not a violation of a contract. Coupons are used as a marketing with the hope that good service and quality will lead to repeat business. Wasting a potential customer’s time by leading them to a business without honoring an offer is unethical. They should probably get one star, but I’ll give them an extra one for their diverse menu. In their response to my review, Dough Dough’s claimed they never authorized Entertainment Book’s coupon. This is the only business with which I’ve had any issues while trying to use an Entertainment Book offer. They would be opening themselves up to huge litigation issues by producing coupons that were unauthorized.

Came here because we saw good reviews on Unilocal and we love Hawaiian food so we decided to give it shot. We order 2 teriyaki chicken plate and 1 Portuguese sausage plate and malasada. When we came home and opened our dinner up it honestly looked so sad. The chicken barely had any sauce and looked dry it wasn’t as moist and tender as I would like. The the Portuguese sausages looked like 5 pieces made it on there. The reason why I gave it 3 stars was because of the malasada, now those would be the only reason I’d come back and the service was good. Idk but Unilocal steered me in the wrong direction this time.

Went to Hawaii recently and went on a hunt to find food and malasadas in the area. This is the next best thing here! The service is very welcoming and I love the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. The food is very simple, yet tasty. I gotta come back to try more dishes and shaved ice!

Pretty terrible. I tried a Kalua burger, Portuguese sausage Misubi, and a mix plate lunch. The Musubi was a ton of rice to almost no meat. For the price, very disappointed. The Kalua burger was dry, patty was overcooked, and there was a total lack of any real flavor. Finally, the mixed plate. Another totally dry and overcooked patty with thick flavorless gravy. The teriyaki beef has some flavor but the meat itself was dry and stringy. Got a maladada as well. The dough itself was okay, but nothing to write home about. The filling, pinacolada in this case, tasted so incredibly artificial. I can’t get the flavor out of my mouth. The woman at the counter was pleasant but also gave off the impression that she did not want to be there. As mediocre as the food was, it took way too long for it to be prepared for carry out. Definitely will not be coming back here again.

What a find! We just drove into the parking lot and saw this place in the back corner. We eat a lot of Hawaiian & Asian food since we are Pacific Islanders. The food here was excellent and service was A++. The young man with long hair was very attentive and made sure our drinks were full. We went home with a lot of leftovers because the serving portions were large. Also got 2 orders of mini malasadas to go. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

Came here for brunch. I got the Portuguese Sausage plate with eggs and rice and my friend got the Loco Moco. Both our dishes had way too much rice(mine had very little Portuguese Sausage and two scoops of rice). Loco Moco also had a lot of rice but at it did have a hearty hamburger on top.

The food is amazing. I got the eggs and Portuguese sausage and it was really tasty and authentic. We drove from the San Gabriel valley to try the malasadas but were bummed to hear that the dough wasn’t ready! Luckily we had all day so we didn’t mind when they told us to come back in a couple hours. We did and boy were they worth the wait. They gave them to us piping hot and on the house for the trouble. Great service and great food!

Cheating on my gf(keto), I went in for some curry. The menu on the wall doesn’t have all of their food options and I almost left before seeing the printed menus. I ordered the chicken curry and dipped next door to drop off my dry cleaning. The service: The owner was very nice, but also a little salty. I asked if their chicken curry was covered in panko and she corrected me and told me that would be «Katsu Curry». I’m Asian, lady, I know the difference, but every restaurant has their own definitions. The food: Everything was fresh! The curry was a little too mild for my taste. I would have made it with a little more salt and curry paste. Rice was perfect. And the macaroni/potato salad was lack luster. Really had no flavor. Why the 4 stars? Because it was piping hot, fresh, and the amount of food for the price was pretty good.

I’ve dined here a few times and most recently ordered the loco moco. I requested to have the patty medium-rare, as the last time it was too dry and tough. This time, it was just as dry, as if there was zero fat content and was well done again! Even my girlfriend’s dog had a hard time chewing threw the leftover patty. The other visits were good, though, as we had fried rice and curry stew. Just stay far away from their loco moco, unless you feel like losing your teeth.

OK, so I’m all about second chances. and when I first tried it here in 2014, it was a new restaurant. I work at a large company down the street and my boss is having a huge meeting in a few weeks. He «asked» if we could have teriyaki chicken for lunch, so I decided to look up this local place again. Read more recent reviews and I was shocked to see it has a way better overall rating than I originally gave them, SO… against my better judgement, I went again to try it out today for lunch. — No customers at noon till 12:24 when I left(one person came in, looked at the menu & left) — Owners sitting in a booth chatting — Very immature girl at the counter(not any fault here, but when you go in, you’d like to see some life and maybe a smile, but she was so young, I understand) — Mac salad was better than last time. They added peas and salt. — Teri chicken was good because I don’t like mine too saucy. Good flavor here. — Plate lunches are on the expensive side + you pay extra for a lot of things. — When you see a photo of sliced cabbage under your teri chix, you expect to see the same thing. Understand that when the chicken is hot, it wilts the cabbage, but it’s a very unattractive presentation when it’s unedible.(maybe for to-go orders, put it on the side or something) — Fried rice is fine. Like the added touch of black pepper. Since I forgot to ask if I could substitute fried for white, I asked for a side of fried, but she told me they didn’t have a «side» of fried and she pointed to some breakfast entrée that comes with fried rice. SMH. So, I asked her if I should have asked to change my white to fried(for $ 2 extra). She had to ask the cook. I felt bad because he gave her an attitude. Almost rolled his eyes at the girl when she asked him. I’m assuming that he could have just used the two scoops of white rice he already had on my plate to make the fried(without attitude), but I ended up with two scoops of white AND some fried. — Malasadas STILLNASTY. Thick, heavy &10 times worse than a bad donut. She was sticking a pick in each one to make sure they were done.(saw complaints on Unilocal about this), but shouldn’t Malasadas be LIGHTANDAIRY? I purposely immediately sat in my car and ate one while it was still hot. Still, not a fan. Before getting my food, I’m already thinking in my head… «Maybe I won’t be using this place for the catering» and I’m sorry, I’m still not ready to use this place for catering and be responsible for the reviews from our employees & customers. Sad. I really wanted to like this place. There are so many places to eat. Not sure I’ll be back.

Not really sure what is happening at this restaurant but everything seems to be falling apart. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. The girl working at the counter asked if our meal was for here or to go. We told her for here. she told us to take a seat and she would be with us. There was only one table available and it was dirty. So we sat at the table for 15 minutes before she came by to take our order, with the dirty glasses and flatware still on the table. We asked her if she could clean our table and then the attitude started. She begrudgingly cleaned the table then took our order. Our water came ten minutes later, then the diet soda, and 15 minutes later came the lemons for our water. Nothing seemed to flow smoothly. So one order came out first, which was the combo including chicken, pork, rice and macaroni salad. Then my poke order came out. Kinda weird they put the poke on warm rice and the poke was way too salty. We split entrees so I had some of the chicken and pork. The chicken was delicious as was the signature kahlua pork. The waitress was clearly having trouble doing basic things. She would bring one thing at a time rather than bringing multiple things at once to save time. I have always enjoyed eating here and their signature are tasty, but there is some serious attitudes that need to change. I’ll just give this place a break and check back down the road.

The bad news is, a few things went wrong during this visit. The good news is, food was good despite the errors. Too bad the errors outweighed the experience. Hope that makes sense. Sunday morning, they were extremely busy. Didn’t get greeted for a few minutes. Didn’t get seated for another few minutes. Finally got seats along the wall bar that borders Hula Girls Shave Ice but didn’t place an order until 10 minutes after that. Food took 20 minutes to come out –___– And they actually misdelivered my husband’s Mix Plate to the 2 gentlemen seated beside us(who by the way, HADNOIDEA why they had an extra plate, so they started picking at the Portuguese sausage). When I looked over(10 + mins after they brought us malasadas, my plate & some fried rice) it dawned on me, that the servers dropped off our order to the other guys. They had to make my husband’s plate again(add 10 + mins more!!!). —-You would think they wouldn’t charge us for that 2nd Mix Plate at all, instead they charged the other guys and us. But ended up fixing the other dudes’ bill and ONLYAFTER I asked if they would make a change to our bill did someone in the back authorize the server to deduct the malasadas –__– gee thanks for saving us a whopping(?) four dollars :[ for your mistake! — - Malasadas were decent, hot, soft and yummy. Got ‘em plain with no filling, powdered with cinnamon and cane sugar. Fried rice was okay, they charge($ 4) to add Spam after you already choose one meat for your rice. That is more than a can of Spam at the grocery store –___– My mix plate with hamburger steak and kalua pork was pretty good. Mac salad was average. My husband practically killed 75% of the fried rice since they took forever to misdeliver and remake the order. He ate it the next day though and said it was good –__– The waiter apologized but management didn’t. My thoughts upon departing this place were mixed and I’m not sure I’d go back. Even contemplated giving them a 1 star if it weren’t for some of their food.

Meh, not all that impressed. Stopped into the Hula Shave Ice after the beach and Dough Doughs was conveniently located in the same dining room. We decided to grab a couple of plates to take home for an early dinner. The most disappointing part — no beans in the chili. Usually I ask, but usually I don’t have to ask at a Hawaiian restaurant. I definitely would have ordered something else. It lacked chili flavoring too, instead tasting more like bland spaghetti sauce. Parents ordered the mix plate with Teri chicken and Kalua pork with bacon fried rice($ 2 extra charge) and they said it was nothing special. Both meats were dry and the rice was eh. Mom was so upset that the Mac salad had peas. Also ordered a small malasada order with ½ powdered sugar and ½ cinnamon sugar. Those were pretty tasty when hot. Sad to say, if you are looking for a plate lunch, you may be better with a larger chain like the Loft or L&L.
