CalCopa Massage School

CALCOPA gave me so much more than just an education…
I had already been nationally certified in 2002 but was unable to segue into massage during this time and my certification lapsed.
So upon making the decision to change careers in my 50’s, and in looking for my ‘2^nd round’ of education, it was important to find a school that not only supported my goals, but also fit my personality. In seeking to find this, I came upon CALCOPA. It started w/​a phone call and speaking w/​Sally, who definitely gave me great info and invited me to come and see the school. I met w/​Michelle and explained to her my situation, former schooling, etc… and she was extremely accommodating and had the same vision for myself that I did. I enrolled in their programs in Sept 2014 — Dec 2014, tested out of an additional class, did as many clinics that I could, all in order to finish before the new year. There were many days that I was overwhelmed w/​the curriculum, tests, deadlines, but Michelle & Emily always put things into perspective and guided us through it all. These 2 inspirational leaders never let us fail, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
So when I say CALCOPA gave me so much more than just an education… they challenged me to be my best, they course-​corrected me when I fell off track, AND they cultivated a confidence in me that I will carry into my new career of Massage Therapy.

After we finished this school we keep connection and we are acting as big family. I got lead a year ago from my CalCopa for job in The Spa I am working now. A month ago, my boss asked me if I know some good therapist as I am, and I asked Emily and Michele to send someone new graduated, and she got job. This school gives and teach us to be the best massage therapist. Thank you CalCopa.

I had previously attended another massage school in San Diego and had a wonderful learning experience while I was there, so after a couple of moves I was happy to find out about this school. I have mostly worked with Michelle, and she has always been very kind and accommodating. I am impressed that they welcomed me and didn’t really penalize me with extra fees or strip me of credits I had worked hard on at my other school. This is most certainly a school that models the integrity taught to the students. Something else that impresses me about this school is that it is a humble little place. The owners haven’t over-​extended themselves financially and provide a very basic place (read: tiny and older) to learn while still providing the students with an excellent education. A huge facility in a swanky location as provided by some of the bigger schools is nice-​, but I would most certainly pass that up to grow and learn with CalCopa. I plan to continue taking the last couple of classes I need before I start work as a therapist and I would recommend the school to someone serious about their future as a massage therapist.

WOW Look who on the front page… lol I LOVE CALCOPA, I became a Massage Therapist here and has lead me into a new career that I Love and enjoy. I just went back last week for a massage during clinic and I had Christal. I had a stiff and sore neck for 2 days after giving 15 massages @work and let me tell you I will keep coming back. Michelle, Emily and the Best of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and supportive and understandable. I am looking forward to taking additional classes when I can.

I haven’t studied at CalCopa but I have had some wonderful massages there. They offer massages from the students after the students have acheived a certain level of competence. The price is right, $ 40, and it’s always a great massage.

Studying massage therapy at CalCopa was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life! Michelle, Emily and the rest of the instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and supportive. The classes are really fun and you get plenty of hands-​on practice time. I know that I can rely on all the techniques I learned to give my clients the best massage experience possible and I can’t wait to take continuing education classes in the future. I would highly recommend CalCopa to anyone interested in becoming a massage therapist.
And the student massage clinic can’t be beat! I’ve received massages there that have been way better than some professional massages I’ve received because the CalCopa students really care! It is just a great experience overall!

I went to school at Cal Copa and have been a very successful therapist for more then 6 years now. you couldn’t ask for a better experience. I loved it there and still visit and take CEU’s there. I would recommend this school to anyone and do when given the opportunity. You won’t be sorry.
