RIPOFFALERT! Their bar prices are HIGHER than any restaurant in Bella Terra! The smallest buckets you have ever seen and priced at $ 9.99 for a well drink! The ONLY time I will come here is for takeout with a group-on or some discount. Their food is decent but they will absolutely GOUGE you on their bar prices. I was looking for the GOLD in my drink! Holy smokes!

It was ok for a chain, had it not been for the Groupon I purchased I wouldn’t have gone to be honest. Staff was friendly and service was good.

I’m giving this place 4 stars… but we came on a slow Monday evening. We were seated at the tables by the bar. Julio, our waiter was very nice and attentive. Loved the antipasti chopped salad and garlic bread. The baked ziti was pretty bland but then again I wasn’t expecting much from a chain restaurant. So not going to deduct stars for that. Overall it was a good experience and a decent meal was had!

THELEMONBASILMOJITO!!! And the Seafood Linguine… that’s all that needs to be said until I try their linguine and clams later this month! I’ve been to several Buca locations due to company parties and what not, but I’ve been going to the Huntington Beach Buca for years with personal friends, and it is consistently good!

Begging for bread. Mashed potatoes were spoiled tasting. Had to send them back. Calamari appetizer came last. Hundreds of dollars spent. The service needs a once over. **UPDATE a Mr Richatd P Erik Jr(Divisionsl Vice President) from the company contacted me via email. Wanted me to phone him with my experience. I wrote him an email detailing my exact experience, as I don’t have time to sit on the phone with this person. Never heard back from him and this was on Jan. 11th! I work in customer service and in my position we do our best to exceed customer expectations not the case with this establishment. It’s no wonder they only have 3 stars.

Every time I’ve been here, I’ve gotten my food to go and I only come when there’s some deal or I have a gift card. I joined the eclub and they sent me a coupon for a free small pasta. My mom also joined so she sent me her coupon too so I picked up two small pastas. I got the baked ziti and fettuccine Alfredo. The small is actually a pretty large portion. The baked ziti was pretty plain tasting, I had to add pepper flakes and parmesan to make it more bearable. The Alfredo was also subpar. It wasn’t seasoned at all and I had to add lots of salt and pepper. I think each of these dishes cost between $ 15 – 20 and I got them both for free so meh. Can’t complain too much. I’ve also tried the linguine frutti di mare($ 40 something for a large, fed 6) which was linguine with a tomato sauce and seafood. Honestly, I can make all these pastas at home and mine would taste better. Not really worth it to eat here

Went in on a busy Sunday night, and waited an hour and a half to be seated. As you’re walking up the flight of stairs it stinks like old moldy food. The staircase probably had one too many dishes of food dropped on it and management can’t seem to get their carpet cleaned. Our server came off as rude and was chewing gum loudly the whole time. She not only forgot to give us napkins or utensils but never offered us any drink refills. The food was mediocre and overpriced. Service was awful and food was even worse, never coming here again.

Not much to say about this place. THEFOOD– Disgusting, if you actually like the food here somethings wrong with you. Seriously though, that sh*t was nasty! I just can’t… I can’t describe how the food taste because I had no idea what f*ck I was eating. In all seriousness, the food was DISGUSTING. Sorry, I just can’t get over how nasty that crap was. I couldn’t wait until I got home to wash The taste out of my mouth with a beer. THEWAIT– Came here for dinner on a Sunday night without reservations so the wait was about an hour, which was expected so I was okay with that. **while waiting I saw some tall old guy, who I think was the manager, petting one of the of the staff members hair which I thought was weird… But whatever, that had nothing to do with me eating so I didn’t care. OURSERVER — she sucked… I wouldn’t mind if the food was good, but the food was DISGUSTING, If you couldn’t already tell. That’s it, that’s all I have to say about our waitress. #NeverAgain

We will never return here unfortunately. Service is not great and flavor of the food is mediocre at best. The quality of the food is subpar and not nearly worth what they are charging. We waited for quite a while to even be greeted at our table and be served our drinks. I feel terrible and we paid that kind of money for the food we were served and drove out of our way to come here. I felt like we were eating microwave frozen dinners from a box. We were so hungry when we got here and our night has been shot. So disappointing

A taste of Italy. It’s a good place for family style dining. Came here tonight with a large group of 20 for a Birthday party. Luckily they accepted same day reservations and upon arrival we we’re all seated right away. For a Sunday, the restaurant was extremely busy and every table was occupied. As soon as our party was seated, we were given menus and drink orders were taken. We placed our orders shortly. Our orders included Spaghetti and Meatballs, Seafood Diablo, Chicken fettuccine, pepperoni pizza, chicken parmigiana and chicken rigatoni. Everything comes in small or large family size which is good for a party of two or four. The food is decent but nothing worth bragging about. Service wasn’t too great either as they forgot some of our orders or we had to keep asking for drink refills. Buca is just average for me.

First off, this place was only 5-star because of DANA, our server. GREATJOBDANA!!! He was on point with everything we ordered. Even though he was the only server during the time we came in, he was QUICK with our order. COURTEOUSANDATTENTIVE as if we were the only people there. Can’t say enough about him. Because it still wouldn’t be enough! He’s there Monday– Friday, day shift. Food was great. Good size portions and exactly as we ordered. Also by the way he’s an excellent mixologist with TONS of experience.

This update is regarding service only. Recent visits have me thinking never to visit or waste my time here again. The service at this location is becoming real crappy. Previous visits seated in the bar area. Employee(s) too chatty with us and other guests. After a nice chat, they forget your drinks, appetizers and salads. Prior visit, no appetizers! They forgot. I’m not here to become your friend, I’m here to eat dammit! THISVISIT; Our hostess was very pleasant. we were seated as requested, at a table in the bar area. Our server after a lengthy(10 minute) chat with the table behind us, finally came to take our drink order. Drinks came out as expected. Then, the wait began. 10, 20 minutes went by and she returned to take our order. We placed our order which included a family style salad. Another 15, 18 minutes and the salad appeared. After finishing the salad another 10, 15, 25 minute elapsed. Then, nothing. just sitting there staring at each other wondering.… At about the 25 minute point, I approached the hostess. Explained our situation. She was quite apologetic and sent someone to get our server who was chatting with other employees.15 minutes elapsed. As this location was now nearing closing time, we approached the hostess and once again explained our situation. Offered to pay for what we had and said we just wanted to leave. As we’re explaining this, the manager(a medium build black gentleman) was standing there at the register well within earshot listening to the whole thing. Didn’t say a thing. Our server finally appeared to ring us up in the to go area. She needed that managers approval for the transaction. Neither of them said a word. Just allowed us to leave paying for our drinks and a salad. I reached out to corporate and was met with a rapid response. They told me someone from the location would be in contact regarding the issue. Nearly two weeks elapsed. Nothing. I replied to the initial email from corporate about this. A couple days later, someone from the store calls and leaves a message. At this point, I’m figuring there’s no need to contact that manager back. If he’s that bad at customer service, I have no reason to feel as though speaking to him, will make any difference. This has been the usual for this location lately. This was the straw that broke the camels back. Unfortunately since this is the closest location to my home, I don’t see visiting any Bucca again. There are far too many really good Italian eateries around to deal with this. HEYBUCCA! Get it together!

I have been to Buca di Beppo a few times now, and after my most recent visit which was last Saturday, it will most definitely be my last. I came here to have an after Christmas dinner with some friends. The reason I’m giving it one star is a result of food poisoning. Had I not had gotten food poisoning, I think I would give them three stars. However, their amazing staff does not deserve anything less than five stars. Especially our server, she was great! I appreciated her and the other servers that checked in on us for the duration of our meal. Even though our server was great, there is nothing that makes me want to come back. So I’m not going to sit here and give a detailed synopsis of the food, but I will list what we did order: — Bucca Trio Platter — Spicy Arrabbiata Pizza — Spaghetti with Meatballs — Shrimp Fra Diavolo — Cesar Salad So basically one of these dishes if not all made us sick. Thanks again Bucca, you will for sure NOT see me ever.

What an accommodating restaurant! We made reservations for the pope room for my friends big 3 – 0 and had some last minute additions. They quickly brought out another table/chairs/table cover and there was plenty of room. Since it was a large party, we did a prefixed menu($ 33ish) that included bread starter, 3 different types of salads, 2 pasta dishes, veal parmigiana, 2 different desserts, and a nonalcoholic drink. Everyone was very full and we had tons of leftovers. I would come again to celebrate something but not likely for a regular meal. favorites: walnut apple salad(if you like sweet), tiramisu, canolis The pastas all kind of tasted the same after awhile. The veal parm is great as leftovers but kind of greasy. staff: 5 stars. food: 4 stars. bday freebie: they bring out a candle and sing for you. they offer a complimentary photo postcard as a keepsake. other photos are avail for purchase. parking: gets crowded since lot is shared with 24hr fitness.

Overall as expected with the food, the linguini Frutti De Mare(seafood pasta) great flavor, Stuffed Chicken with Prosciutto was slightly over cooked but still juicy, baked ziti is still one of our favorites. But the highlights of our meal was the Fried Calamari & the Bianca(delicious white cheese pizza on a thin crust), my kids just loved it. Family style eating is always great portions and this was the first time at a «kitchen table». The experience was loud, but different. Major benefit was there was always someone there if you needed something. Very friendly team, see you again soon. Warning, your eyes may get bigger than your mouth resulting in leftovers, immobility & food coma. Enjoy!

Family style Italian food that delivers a great atmosphere(if there are not really loud kids that don’t behave behind you) Service was 2⁄5 stars, our waiter was around to refill drinks and get our order at first but when 2 more tables came in she was overwhelmed and we never got refills and took us 20 min to get our check Atmosphere: 5/5, it feels like a clutter Fu** in here but while you eat your huge dinners the walls are a great way to distract you and start some pretty cool conversations. Food: 5/5, although I am not a Italian food lover I came here and was surprisingly satisfied. Our spicy pizza was absolutely delicious and filling and the spicy chicken. Pasta was pretty good too. Although the service sucked I will not bring down the good times and good food we encountered here at Bucca De Peppo.
