ASR Affordable Scattered Remains

If I was able to give no stars at all I would! We were shocked to find many hidden and undisclosed fees charged to our account AFTER we made the agreed upon fee. When my mom confronted the owner about it he was very snarky and demeaning about his response. Like we were stupid not to expect any additional fees. We should have followed our gut feeling when we called the first day to get information and it was hard to get a word in to ask our questions, he made it more about him and his company rather Than our personal experience or ceremony we wanted. When I wanted to meet to talk through details or ask any questions he said there was no need for a meeting and we should tell him the day of the service (a few minutes before) what we were expecting. This was not comforting or assuring at all. In a sense, it was meant to be that he turned out to be dishonest –forcing us to go with another company. Less than a week before the schedule service, he told my grieving mother that he probably didn’t have the boat and time available that we originally booked probably because she was disputing the hidden fees. I strongly advise the cremation society of Laguna to stop recommending this company to your patrons as it significantly hurts its reputation.
Needless to say we got a refund and went with another company who was absolutely perfect! The price was better … No hidden «fees» at all, they listened to us, offered more than this company at a better price and were so pleasant to work with. It was disappointing to have to deal with this during such a difficult time but I’m glad it happened so we were able get a better experience out of it in the end… with a different company :)

We at Cremation Society of Laguna have used ASR for years to handle our unwitnessed scatterings and we couldn’t ask for better service. Additionally, we have referred numerous families to ASR for witnessed scatterings and we receive tremendous reviews about the experience.
