I drive a manual transmission, which my wife didn’t want to learn.
So I signed her up at A1.
After seven hours of lessons with 2 of the A1’s instructors and using A1’s car for the DMV test.
Long story short, she FAILED the DMV test.
I would have rather they told her she wasn’t ready yet then put her through the stress and embarrass. $ 450.00= Nothing!
They told her «I» should of taken her out for more driving… Apparently, they weren’t listening to me anyway!

My instructor was Jim and for some strange reason I absolutely loved this guy. I Only Had Him For Three Days 2HOURS Per And Man Were His Jokes Bad And Did He talk. But he helped me out alot, got me out of my comfort zone and broke the ice pretty fast. Anyways. Five stars for Jim and Jackie. Jackie mainly because she got me every appointment I wanted. Thanks guys!

Horrible customer service. Please don’t use this service. They want you to take your lessons months apart since they don’t have enough instructors to service their customers. They like to over charge for simple things. Instructors always run late and are given the wrong pick up address.

Awful place! don’t use them. They took my money and then said they didn’t service my area. I called twice to schedule my son’s training and they said that they were with a student. which was a lie. The women argued with me telling me that I didn’t call before… then they said they didn’t service my area because of TRAFFIC. What a horrible driving school. They can’t even handle driving in traffic.

OMG they were great! I called — I paid — I had appointments for my daughter immediately. They came to the house (always on time and Saturdays) to pick up my daughter to teach her how to drive. She completed the course and paperwork got her permit. She is a confident driver. Like clockwork. This business has got it down to a science! They answer their phone — answer your questions quickly — and get the job done. Very much appreciate the professionalism.

Abraham, my instructor, was nice and well spoken. He could clearly illustrate his instructions and was very receptive to my questions. He gave me a good summary on what to expect for the driving test and I easily passed. Also, this was the best priced school I could find in Huntington Beach. I would highly recommend this behind the wheel to any of my friends.

Christy Malek was my instructor and helped me to pass my test with confidence :) I found my test easy and that was because I knew what I was doing and I was more than confident in the way Christy had taught me. She taught me how to be a high quality driver and what to look out for. She is an EXCELLENT instructor, very easy and really fun to work with and I would recommend her to anybody in need of an instructor. Thanks A1 and Christy!

My A-​1 Driving and Traffic School experience was nothing but great! I had the pleasure of having Geo as my instructor for two lessons. He made me feel comfortable and calm while driving. Also, he’s great at keeping a conversation flowing. I highly recommend A-​1 Driving and Traffic School. As a result of their driving lessons, I feel I have the necessary confidence to pass my driving test! :)

A1 driving school is probably the best in their business. For a person who has not driven much, driving became a lot easier here due to the nice instructor that I got and that was christy. She is charming, friendly, very encouraging and not to forget patient with the new drivers. She makes the person very comfortable. i have taken 2 classes with her and I feel comfortable to drive in my own car now. A big thanks to you christy. These 4 stars are definitely for you.
