I will NEVER recommend A-​Best to anyone! They caused damage to my motorcycle either setting up the tent or taking it down. I am one of those people that would rather be safe than sorry. So whenever any type of workers will be inside my house unsupervised, I take
fiancé is always making fun… but this time it paid off. I have a picture date stamped just minutes before we left the house. Clearly in the first picture you see there is absolutely no damage to my tank. We went back to the house Friday. Come Saturday we were getting ready to take the bike riding. My fiancé was warming it up and as I walked out the door, he is steaming. He shows me the damage and I am upset however I know I took pix. We were running late so we took off. Not wanting to bother Mark on Sunday, I waited till Monday morning. When he finally gets back to me he is insisting that what I’m telling him is impossible. So I send pix to both him and the person who does the tenting. Mark says he will come by the next morning. Which he does and he brought Scott the tent guy. As they are looking at the tank, Mark is getting a very bad attitude. Keeps saying it’s impossible it was his guys. When showed the time stamp on my phone he became downright arrogant! Telling us that we are calling his guys liars. Because of course when they were asked nobody knew anything. Mark then starts spouting off that he will give all his guys polygraphs to prove they didn’t do it. (By the way, that would cost more than the price of a new tank). Now he is irate and he leaves and tells me he will call later. He comes back in about an hour and he’s still fuming. Not his fault, impossible… and in first photo I sent there is a ladder against a side table. Inspector Gadget… He takes the ladder says how it must have fallen on the bike and it’s not his fault. It s our fault for having a ladder in the garage. Really? We tried to explain that, maybe someone from the tent bumped into it. Because when we left it was fine! When we got back it was damaged! He got so angry that I finally said I was going to go through other channel. We really were not angry until he had a hissy fit. So now I am in the process of filing a complaint with the board!

Mark was very efficient and helpful in getting rid of my rodent infestation. Within the first night, his traps caught 6 rats of various ages, and after he replaced them the next day, he caught two more that night. He is also very easy to talk to and joke around with, not stuffy at all. He has great stories about prior jobs that will make you feel at ease about what he does. I highly recommend his service.

Mark was extremely helpful in making sure my new home was completely exterminated and concerned about finding the root of the problem. His positive personality also helped me become more optimistic about my unlucky situation. Highly recommended!

I’ve been using Mark’s services once a month since last summer when I had a crazy ant attack! He’s knowledgeable, friendly, does not waste time and best of all keeping my house free of ants, spiders, silverfish, crickets, etc!

Mark saved me big bucks and did everything he said he was going to do great service and an honest guy. I recommended him to three of my neighbors already.

I contacted Mark on a Saturday morning horrified I may have bed bugs. I asked him to come out and do an inspection and he told me that he doesn’t do inspections (red flag). He will come out and spray same day and the other companies doing inspections are scamming their customers. I appreciated his candor and we scheduled an appointment for his soonest availability — that Tuesday. Before Tuesday, I collected several of the insects that I could find while doing an exceptional disinfecting of my home. Upon his arrival on Tuesday morning, he greeted my boyfriend and examined the bugs we caught through the ziploc baggy. He told him «those are hard shell beg bugs». In our despair, we asked him what we should do, relying upon his expertise to guide us. He told us one spray may suffice, maybe two. He said we may need to buy a new mattress. He left in a hurry and returned the next morning unannounced (red flag). He sprayed again. We purchased a new mattress and had it delivered the following day — now it’s Thursday. We are distraught and have not slept for days in fear of being fed on. I decide it’d be best to contact our leasing office to ask for help and to inform them of the problem, even if my pride went out the door. The leasing office sent out their trusted pest control company to inspect. I was relieved — it was free and it was a second opinion. The new inspector comes out on Friday. He goes through the procedure (Mark did not have and you will see is industry norm when you research bedbug mitigation) of emptying closets, linens, sheets, and washing them in hot water, drying them, for un-​washable items — place in dryer on high heat, etc etc etc. All of the items have to be removed from the home prior to treatment and must be placed in SEALED plastic bags outside of the home — all closets and storage areas must be completely empty. There are three treatments, all of which require the same preparation. After he goes over this with Daniel, we offer to have him take a look at the suspects just to double check. He said THEY ARE FLEAS. There was one stranger looking bug we also caught in our couch, under the cushions, unlike all of the others and it looked like it had been dead for quite some time. Mark confirmed this one was a «full grown bed bug». Our new inspector: «a roach». They look nothing alike — how could they be the same species? I was so horrified and disgusted I trusted Mark. I do NOT recommend his services. When Daniel called him to ask for a refund, he took offense to us getting a second opinion and ultimately admitted that the smaller guys were fleas. He said that «the chemical treats fleas, so the problem is a done deal.» After Daniel told me how the conversation went, I called. This time I was not as friendly and desperate as I was that Saturday morning. He talked over me and argued, ultimately screaming at me asking for the other inspectors qualifications. He went back on his original identification, and said that they WERE bed bugs, even after admitting to Daniel they were not. Please do yourself a favor, and hire another pest control company. Or, get a second opinion. When something as traumatizing as bed bugs are at stake, you need someone you can trust and you can’t trust Mark. Call Southwood Pest Control instead; they are honest and professional.

Mark called and left voicemails for both Daniel and I Sunday morning, and then called again. He said that he wanted to apologize on his voicemail and sounded resentful saying «I am concerned about your concerns». We picked up the third time he called. He did not apologize, he asked us to remove the review, and would not refund our money. I informed him that I felt his potential customers needed to know — that I would want to know. We went around and around for nearly an hour and in his frustration, he said would pray for me. What?! Mark has been incredibly rude and unprofessional. His reply to my review contains more lies which isn’t suprising considering the level of deceit he contributed early on. I never asked for a refund of my mattress to anyone; I knew I ate that cost which is why I asked for the treatment costs to be refunded.

Very reasonable and professional job. I have used them twice, once for subterannian termites and once for fumigation. I would not hesitate to recommend Mark and his people again!

Mark is honest, helpful, and quick. I recommend his services for pest control. I love being able to take out my trash without spiders crawling on me ;)!

I have been a long time customer of A Best Pest because they do a great job iof keeping my home free of bugs. They are very reliable and professional. The best part is that they give me a discount when I give them a referral. Very reasonable as well.

I think it is owned and run by one guy who is open and up front about all the costs and treatments. Had a bit of an ant problem and called many places. This company was one of the cheapest. The owner/​operator was very laid back on the phone and answered all my questions. He spent about 20 minutes at my place and 2 months later, I am still ant free.
