Great, great, great! Southern home-style cooking done right and righteous! Pies are deadly. Outstanding food, a must stop if passing within 20 miles. Consistently superb sides, excellent service. Get some!

I’m from boston, and my coworker and I traveled through Tennessee for work. It was getting late, and food options were scarce. Mallards was open, but just about to close. We asked if it was possible to order takeout and they were so kind! They were so welcoming and friendly. The food was great! They even forced us to take a free slice of pie. This place is the epitome of true southern hospitality.

Mallard’s catered my 20 year class reunion and the food was delicious! Not only that, I’m allergic to eggs and nuts and have Celiac ‘s. Cooking for me is awful. We live in Nashville and luckily have lots of friends who own some of the best local restaurants here and will tell me what I can and can’t have without rolling their eyes(most of the time). That makes dining out around home fairly easy, and it’s farm to table, fresh and savory. I get REAL nervous traveling in small towns because they don’t know half of the ingredients in the food they cook. It’s complete stupidity and extremely irresponsible. I’d planned on just not eating at the reunion because I didn’t want to ruin our weekend, but I found out who was catering it, called and left a voicemail. Ryan, the owner, called me within a few hours. He went over absolutely everything he was serving, every single ingredient! I felt so safe, ate what I could– which was most everything. The food was seasoned perfectly and delicious, no salt or pepper needed. Everyone felt that way, food allergies or not. It was just a delicious, well-prepared dinner!
