Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

I am a member of a different Hand & Stone near home but needed to come to the Huntingdon Valley location because I was in town for a wedding.
I had a 10am appointment for a Swedish massage and I am so glad I came! Tara, the front desk receptionist, was so sweet and informative about the services. She had a huge smile on her face, who wouldn’t feel welcomed after that? Everyone I encountered today were so, so, so sweet!
Veronica, my masseuse, was amazing! She got the pressure just right and put me right to sleep. The massage was exactly 50 minutes and Veronica was so professional.

I went here for a birthday present from my parents. I was supposed to be getting a one hour massage (which is 50 minutes according to this place as I was told when I came in). I also signed up for the extra ten minutes of a scalp massage to make it a full hour.
The massage itself was great and the scalp massage was nice as well. The problem I cannot get past is the unprofessional attitude of the person who performed my massage. As I walked into the storefront exactly at my scheduled appointment time, she made an unwelcome comment about me being late and this being «the type of day» she was going to have. I brushed that off as I was there for a relaxing massage and it was my birthday — I was not going to allow her rudeness to get to me as long as I got a great massage service. The woman at the front desk was very nice and informative about the services they offer.
Once my 50-​minute massage and 10-​minute scalp massage was over according to the masseuse, I got up and got dressed and checked the time. It had only been 40 minutes. I know this for a fact seeing as I sent a text right before I laid down on the table and called for the masseuse to enter. This means that I must have had only a 30-​minute massage maybe. I was really upset and pissed. I came out and the masseuse gave me tips and exercises on how to work on the muscles in my neck that were tense. That was nice but I have to remember how she cut my massage short by 20 minutes!!!
I complained and still had to pay the full price (or my parents did as it was their gift for my birthday!!!). I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS PLACE. There are so many other massage places in the area that are far superior and treat their customers properly.
