I have high expectations and these guys meet them every time! Amazing cleaning, response time, show up on time and get the job done. I have cats that don’t always find the litter box (ugh!) and leave plenty of fur balls behind. Oxy Magic gets my carpets and rugs clean every time!

I wasn’t happy w/​the steam cleaners I had been using so on a lark, I had my carpets downstairs cleaned by a service in town that advertises heavily and uses citrus based cleaning products to clean carpet. The citrus company’s cleaning process smelled nice but left my carpets still dirty, visibly dirt. The high traffic areas in my home didn’t even look like they had been cleaned. And the citrus company’s process left the carpet «oily» for lack of a better term. I could feel it on my feet.
After researching what might actually get my carpet clean, I called Oxy Magic. It was around 4pm on Friday afternoon when called them. Eileen answered and was friendly and personable. When I told her where I lived, she told me they were going to be in my area the next day, Saturday, and offered to fit me into their schedule.
The guy who was working in my area on Saturday, Bill, called me about an hour before the scheduled time to let me know he was running ahead of schedule and asked if I would like them to come early or wait for the scheduled time. I asked him to come on ahead of schedule.
Bill brought his equipment in and got set up. They use a semi-​wet process with a specialized machine and an oxygen based cleaning solution. (Yes, related to the OxyClean type chemical used for laundry stains.) It is not hot water extraction. First Bill pre-​treated all the carpet downstairs, giving extra attention to the high traffic areas. He then waited a few minutes for the pre-​treat to start working and proceeded to clean.
I had about 1200 sq ft of carpet that needed cleaning on this trip. It took Bill around an hour to complete it all. I had already moved the major furniture pieces before he got to the house.
Their machine has brushes that lift of up the carpet pile — like an industrial strength vacuum cleaner brush roll. It did an excellent job at bringing some life back to the carpet in my high traffic areas. The side benefit is they dig pet hair, human hair, lint, etc. out of the carpet too. Bill showed me his machine’s lint/​dirt catch bucket before he started. When he was done, it was nearly full of lint, hair, etc. that my vacuum had missed over the last year.
The only fault I have with them is they need to educate customers better on what they can do and can’t do. These aren’t the guys to call when you have a flood. They don’t do a good job explaining what their process does best (and doesn’t do so well).
So now that I’ve experienced steam cleaning, citrus cleaning, and oxy cleaning, all on the same carpet and all with the same level of dirt/​stains, I think I know what I like. For cleaning up after the everyday life of a family, based on my research and experience, Oxy Magic is who I will be calling back.
In the 4 years I’ve been having this particular carpet cleaned, it’s cleaner now than it was when I got the key to the house. I wouldn’t call them to clean up after a flood or deal with the results of a kid pouring a whole Costco sized bottle of pancake syrup in the middle of the living room floor (true story, don’t ask) but for cleaning up every day life, they are the clear winner of my business.

I would never use them again. My wife purchased a Groupon, which was mistake number 1. The company does not do a deep cleaning of the carpets, so they one get the dirt off top. The tech just sprayed some chemicals, used a bulky machine and gone. There was zero effort to attempt to get under or around funtiure. I would stick with larger firms that know what they are doing.
