Just traveling through. I hate bad reviews, but this restaurant needs help. The steak sandwich was tougher than bent nails in knotted wood. Unfortunate for me, the server recommended the pizza to another patron after I spent 30 min working on the steak sandwich. Maybe I got the wrong thing?! Previous reviews that said the beer menu is a little lacking in areas. Agree… Enough said. Nice atmosphere. It has a lot of potential. I hope they redo a few menu items like the unhappy steak sandwich. Personally, using it for skeet practice would provide great satisfaction. PA is known for great beers. Hope they can get a keg or two of those for the taps. Cheers

Once really good food, the Gas Station has gone through so many menu changes, both the selection and quality now leave much to be desired.

If you want over priced and watered drinks with terrible music that blasts off your ear drums… this is the place for you. However, it’s the only«happening» spot in the area on the weekends.

I went for trivia night with some friends which was a lot of fun. My beer was good, but my burger was well-done when I asked for medium rare. But it still tasted good(I got The Last Call Burger). I like the atmosphere and had a fun time, just wish my burger was cooked right.

So, I really wanted to like this place more than I did. Firstly, the beer menu could use some work. Like, a lot of work. Secondly, the outside is SO cute, I expected more from the inside in terms of ambiance. Unfortunately, it’s dark and kind of stinky. The food is the redemption. I had the steak and cheese with meat sourced from Groff’s in Elizabethtown. The flavor was excellent, but I found the meat to be a little chewy and not cooked to the requested temperature. However, I enjoyed the meal. If there was a really long wait on somewhere near by, I would re-visit for dinner. Otherwise, I’ll probably not be back, unless it’s for a quick drink on the patio.

Although our food was an acceptable three star for all things considered, we have to say Claire, our server, was all about a FIVESTAREXPERIENCE. A very warm, welcoming smile, attentive service and so accommodating for a large group on separate checks, a very sweet gal.

Stopped in at 6pm Saturday with my wife and two daughters. We were the only ones in the dining room. Maybe 3 people at the bar. The décor is a stark blend of industrial, sports bar and bad club. It doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be. Our server was very polite and attentive. She was great with the kids, 4 and 8yo. We ordered Troegs Perpetual beers, which were not fresh at all. Odd since the brewery is minutes away. The kids picked the mac n cheese. My wife and I split a spinach/apple salad and mushroom/gruyère pizza. The server put in the kids meals as apps so they would be out quickly. After a while the server said they ran out of macaroni and needed to make the kids meals with spaghetti. Then the meals came out with macaroni anyway. Not sure what that was about. Mac n cheese was tasty with local made cheese. After over an hour of waiting the salad and small pizza were still not out. Yet, a larger group who arrived well after us had their meals. The server was very apologetic and had the kitchen staff apologize. They say they were swamped, but only had two tables to serve. They gave us a $ 10 gift card, but we probably won’t use it. When the food did show up it was OK. Our kids had been done eating for quite some time. Salad was just basic granny smith apple slices on spinach with crumbled goat cheese and overcooked sausage. The pizza had decent ingredients, but they covered about ½ of the dough with the rest being crust. Not worth the price or wait. We love supporting local business and love good locally sourced food. I think this place has an identity crisis and a serious kitchen staff issue. Too bad because the building and initial local food focus could be a hit if they decorated well and the kitchen could execute. Forget the night club and sports bar crap.

I was a regular customer last October to December mainly because they were close to where I lived & not many options in dining/bars. First the pros: I loved the architecture of the building… the openness of it has great potential. The bartenders & waitstaff were very friendly & efficient. The cons: The food is pretty bad especially for the price. The only thing I did like was the pizza however they were stingy with the toppings. Secondly the place was constantly in transition so there wasn’t a lot of consistency. I was not a fan of their gimmicks such as license plate menus. Finally the owner was not friendly to me whatsoever.

Okay — so after sitting here(after complaining about the atmosphere initially) and eating a late lunch — not so bad. My husband says it is industrial and guys like that. Probably why I am the only female in a the place. We had the house salad — HUGE — try the champagne vinegrette. Had the pizza — we had the B and B which is Brie(yum) and bacon(yummier). Beer could be colder. Will I be back — most likely.

I can’t say enough about how Awesome the service is here! I have had a couple events here, but I will have to say that with the new ownership, it has jumped to a whole other level! I had a birthday dinner with 26 of us for my husband last night & our server Andy, handled all of our orders with the best service that I’ve ever had anywhere! All of our friends were so impressed with his attention to detail & not one of us had to ask for a drink refill or bottle! He serviced all of us like he was servicing each of us individually not with so many people. The food was excellent as always & Adam, Gary & Mike are a peonia trio to makev the Gas Station a top notch area eatery! Love The Gas Station!!!

My girlfriend and I just ate here. My initial issue with the place is that the menu has no explanation of the sandwiches, I had to ask what each one was. We ordered the pork tacos as an appetizer, I got the wings and fries and she ordered the Margherita pizza. The tacos were good and so were the wings. The tacos are very large for an appetizer. The wings were cooked well and the sauce was delicious. The fries need to learn some portion control – a smaller ration should be an option for two people. However, both the fries and pizza came out at room temperature. The fries were ok, but the pizza was awful. First, an authentic Margherita pizza is not made with red sauce, it’s made with chopped or sliced tomatoes. Although, I can forgive most places that don’t make it properly here in the US; however, the sauce was clearly from a can, extremely bland, undercooked, and there was way too much sauce on the pizza(even if it was quality sauce). Because the pizza was undercooked, the mozzarella was not the right consistency. Additionally, the icing on the cake was the lack of fresh basil. Overall, I would say 2.5 stars is a little more accurate than 3.

I really enjoyed the re-purposing of an old gas and service station for a restaurant. The interior boast a large bar, several TVs, and lots of seating(up and downstairs). I was kinda hoping for a gastropub-type menu, but unfortunately the menu choices were uninspired and rather traditional. The service was well-done and the quality of food was on par with the pricing. Great place to take your friends to watch the game, but maybe night a good first date kind of place.

Stopped in on Sunday with family from out of town. We had the Sunday brunch and we figured $ 10.95 with a drink included, we couldn’t go wrong. Best part of the meal was the drink. We ordered and I got the omelet. It’s not the worst omelet I’ve had, but it definately wasn’t one of the best either. The homefries were freezing cold. I’m sure they make a ton and then just re-heat them. No one in my party was happy with their food, which is really disappointing. The server was super friendly, food took forever to come out and that wasn’t her fault. We used to love eating at the Gas Station but won’t be back anytime soon, unless something changes. Very disappointed since their food was great before. Yet their parking lot is full every night of the week…

Changed the menu, only one vegetarian meal. My mom and I ordered it, 15 minutes later we were told they didn’t have it. My Dads order was wrong. Not good. Will not be back.

I have been looking forward to trying this place for over a year… I could wait a few more and not be missing anything. We came for dinner on a Friday night and the place was a ghost town! We found out why. We ordered our beer and an appetizer and it took 20 min for them to come. Our nachos took 45 min. The prices are inflated, and the bathrooms a disaster. The men’s room even had a plastic bag over one non-working urinal. I don’t know where this place got all the high reviews, but I can only give it two stars.

Sunday brunch was $ 10.95 includes a drink… Mimosa was big, plates were fine you get what you pay for. We both had eggs Benedict– different take on it but was okay. But let’s be serious– drilling and sawing at 11am on Sunday while everyone’s eating… NO!!! At one point I told my boyfriend to get me out of here bc I couldn’t hear myself think and we obviously couldn’t talk.

Good service and great beers. Food was good and solid but not great. calamari was fried but not crispy enough. Lemon aioli lacked flavor Salads were very good large portion with good unique dressings like Sherry Scallot which was weird and delicious Pretzel sticks were good in taste and might have been made there not frozen but good I had prime rib special which was not so grey perhaps it was because it was the 10 dollar special but potatoes tasted reheated, and grilled prime rib was good but missing the smoked in house flavor promised The free range chicken was well cooked good tasting an well received So over all solid good food, excellent service(they made sundaes for my kids that were not in the menu)… And cool building an nice dining space. Just wish they coaxed a little more flavor out of their dished and executed(calamari) a little better. Another 30 – 45 seconds make them crispy and golden brown not yellow and kinda crisp Would give a second chance to try other menu items

Food is good. The lamb special was good, but very fatty. Potatoes were cooked well. Salmon special was delicious and potato salad was had a nice zing to it! Service was good– waitress was new and a bit meek but very friendly and sweet. The wait for food was a bit long, about an hour and the places wasn’t exactly packed. Overall, this place is good. I’m not dying to go back but I’m not opposed to a second visit!
